The Forsaken (May be R)

"Forgive me father, for I have sinned..."

"My son, please tell me what you have done so that you may be forgiven."

"I have slaughtered a family of four without remorse, I have caused the rape of many young women on the streets of this retched city, I have spent my whole life using others for my own goals... or personal gratification.

"... My son.... these... these are heavy sins..."

"Father... can I ask for forgiveness in advance for a future sin? I've been meaning to do something for a long time..."

"But... what do you mean my son..."

"Please... you know who I am..."

"... Clause! Demon... leave me... what do you want from me!"

"I would like to apologize for the murder of a holy man."

"What... what do you... urk!"



The church was empty save for a two people in a confessions booth. The barrier separating the two men now destroyed as a blade shot through the priests neck. Blood poring out inside the confessional. The door opened as a man in a black cloak walked out.

He held a blade, soaked in blood. "Your flock will find guidance elsewhere father... for you have sinned..." the man licked the blood off of the sword. He seemed to be talking to the dead priest. "You see, Father... I know all about you... the lies, the guilt. You lost the faith years ago... preaching something that you do not believe. but it goes deeper..." He said walking over to the corpse of the priest. Lifting him up by the neck. Blood still dribbled out. "You claim to be a holy man... while sleeping around... ignoring your celibacy is one thing... but rape... you should have known better father..." He said throwing the man across the church, landing as if he was bowing towards the cross. "The however the sick irony father is that I was the one who caused such corruption... you should have never given in to those little thoughts." he said.

Clause started to walk away. "You will get your true judgment... but the grief you caused... it kept me entertained for a while... Goodbye father..."

The doors opened and the night air flooded in. Wings of black feathers sprouted from the young man's back as he flew out the door into the night. A demon of great power... however now he needed a new target...

((Any may join, mature for... well... blood for one... and possibly many other things. Character can be good, maybe a hunter of some sort out to get him. Neutral, maybe his next victim, or even evil. I don't care. But if you have any questions feel free to ask.))

Hamona made her way to the church to see if it was true. The priest that raped her while seeking comfort from an abusive father had been killed for his crimes against the race of man and God. She makes her way through the crowd as she wanted to see his body to put her worries and fears to rest. A woman asks crying, “Who would kill the saint Priest Andrew?” She looks at the woman and says, “He was nothing close to a saint.”

Like most people, returning to the scene of the crime was almost irresistible. Clause looked down upon the body and smiled lightly, he heard the little conversation between the two... if only she knew... he had never done any of the sins the father had done personally... still, he was able to manipulate people... he could tell... the girl had been taken by the father before... he smiled lightly. "Too true young one..." he said to the girl. He looked like any other human really. However, this demon had found his next target... he was going to cause her more suffering...

Hamona looks at him and then walks off to where her home was. Where her son the result of her rape that she named Johnny was waiting for her. She could not bring herself to abort him or give him up for adoption. She opens the door to her apartment to see the baby sitter trying to make him stop crying.

Clause watched as the girl walked off... it was too late for her really... the moment he saw her... the moment he thought to himself that she would be his next plaything... it was too late for her. He smiled lightly to himself, going back to his apartment... nothing fancy, but it helped him blend in.

Hamona paid the sitter for her services and silence of who the father was. She then took the baby in her arms to rock him to sleep gently. Johnny quit wailing as he felt his mother’s warmth against his skin. Soon he fell asleep happily in her arms as he knew he was safe. Hamona sits down and continues to hold her son in her arms.

Feeling that she was alone, except... "Oh... you had a child..." he said to himself. "A little blessing from such a terrible incident..." he said once more to himself. 'She's happy... she loves the child... but... no... I'm not going to hurt a child..." he thought. "Hmm... I should pay her a visit tonight... see her dreams... find her fears..." he thought... he moved in the night...

Hamona puts Johnny in his crib and stared out the window. She whispers to herself, “Sleep has not come to me since the night of the rape. At least I got one good thing out of it.” She leans down and kisses Johnny’s forehead as she goes back to sitting on the couch. She starts drawing images in her sketch book. She smiles some as she draws.

Clause traveled... flying through the night. He landed outside of her home... looking in through the window. He seen her... watching her draw... He smiled... she wasn't that bad looking for a human... maybe... he would give... no... not yet... he needed to see what she was like. He simply watched, cloaked... she wouldn't be able to see him. He watched her... seeing what she was drawing.

Hamona draws all sorts of flowers with thorns as she keeps close watch on her son. She starts to sing his lullaby as he starts to fuss.

As we were out a-hunting

Made the hills and the valleys ring

But to our great misfortune
No fox there could be found
Our huntsmen cursed and swore but still
No fox moved over the ground

And upspoke our master huntsman
The master of the chase

And up there sprung like lightening
A fox from out of his hole
His fur was the color of a starless night
And his eyes like burning coals

And they chased him over the valley
And they chased him over the fields
And they chased him down to the riverbank
But never would he yield

And he jumped into the water
and he swam to the other side
And he laughed so hard that the greenwood shook
And then he turned to the hunt and cried:

Well the men looked up in wonder
All the hounds runing back to hide
For the fox had changed to the Devil himself
Where he stood on the other side

And the men, the hounds the horses
Went flying back to town
And hot on their heels come a little black fox
Laughing as he ran

Watching her sing her son to sleep, he watched her. Most people he corrupted, they already had some great evil in them... he just exploited it... but her... he couldn't find anything inside of her that was easy to exploit. He didn't know what to do... he heard a voice. "You know... the harder she is to corrupt... the more power you gain in the end..." it said. He sighed. "Yeah... but whats the point..." He said. "I can gain power from her... but for what... to find someone new?" he said. "But don't worry master... I think I may have found someone for the tests..." he said.

Hamona smiles as the song put Johnny to sleep once more. She says to herself, “Such a good boy. I am glad I kept him. Too bad my family wants nothing to do with him or me.” She gets up and looks around feeling like she was being watched. She shakes her head and quietly sings to herself to calm her nerves. Hamona sighs and stares at the sky and says, “I feel so alone.”

Clause faded out... fading back into her home... he listened to her talk... happy with his son... however her family... they didn't want anything to do with her. "My dear... believe me when I say that you are not alone..." he said. "Not alone what so ever..." he said revealing himself to her.

Hamona looks around with wide eyes as he appeared in front of her. She stands in front of Johnny’s crib, “Who are you? What do you want?” Her eyes flickered from the man to her child uneasily. She says to the man, “Look do whatever you want to me, but please don’t hurt my son.” She stands there staring at the man.

"The thought of hurting your babe hadn't crossed my mind little one... I'm really interested in you..." he said, he looked her up and down... a little spark in his eyes. "Don't you recognize me... earlier today... at the church..." he said. "I want you... that is why I am here... but not in the way that you think..." he said with a little smile.

Hamona looks at him and says, “You are the guy I talked to. You are also the one who killed the priest. For some reason I can sense his blood on you.” Her eyes shifted slightly as she could see the priest’s soul behind the man. Her body tenses up some and says, “Great I am seeing souls again.” She huffs and holds her son in her arms closely.

Clause turned to see the priest... the spirit. He smiled. "My... you are a special girl aren't you..." he said. Having a demon chase after you and a vengeful spirit... don't worry love... he isn't here for you... I imagine that he is angry at me..." he said with a little laugh. "But the incorporeal cannot harm the living..." he said with a little laugh. "Besides, he has a reason to be mad at me... I was the one who made him act on those... evil... little... thoughts... those little dangerous thoughts in the back of your head... the one's you ignore until you simply forget about them..." he said. "I gave him the will, I caused him to do those wicked things... especially to you... I remember you... how he watched you... how you went to him... I couldn't resist..." he said. "However, with him dead... I need a new plaything..." he said.

Hamona looks at him unmoved by what he told her. She asks, “What is with you demons always coming after the women in my family?” She looks at her son and then looks at the priest. “At least you gave me a reason to live in this world.” She looks at the man and says, “What do you want from me?”

"Hmm? What do you mean the women in your family?" he asked. "And please... never mind what I want... I will become clear soon enough what I want..." he said with a little laugh. "Would you like me to banish this priest? I can make him leave you for good if you wish..." he said.

Hamona looks at him and says, “He won’t be able to stay long. It drains the soul to stay in the living world.” She looks down at Johnny as he whimpers for some food. She quickly makes him a bottle and gives it to him gently. She says, “Since the 1400s my family line of women have been able to see souls, purify demons, and kill evil creatures if needed. Demons have been after us for years. For our souls, some want us for sex, and other things.”

"Human lovers are easy to come by..." he said. Though looking at her, he could sense something from her... "Your energy is much more different than anyone else I have ever seen... hmm..." he started thinking. "So... have you ever seen a demon before?" he asked her. "Ever fought one... ever tried to kill one..." he said. "And I assure you... I'm not like any of the others you may have heard about..."

Hamona looks at him and says, “I have only killed one demon and that was accident.” She looks at the moon sadly and shivers some as she could feel the temperature dropping outside. She goes to the living room, puts Johnny on the couch, and starts a fire in the fire place. Just enough to keep the little place warm enough for Johnny.

"Hmm... still for a girl such as you, even one demon is a great feat..." he said with a little smile. He knew she couldn't hurt him... even if she tried, she could hurt him, never kill him... unless certain events were to take place. "You hard to figure out... I wish I knew that my meddling would have given you something good... I probably would have reconsidered..." he said. "But... hmm... I just realized how rude I have been. Forgetting to introduce myself. My name is Clause... I already know your name Hamona..." he said.

Hamona looks at him and says, “I don’t care who you are. I want you out of here. I need to make sure my son sleeps a full night.” She tenses some as a little toad demon broke through her window and throws a sacred dagger at it. It growls as it’s whole body turns into white purified ash. She smiles some and says, “About time I get that worthless moron.”

Clause watches her as she kills the toad. He smiled and laughed happily. "Hmm... you handle yourself well... I'll leave you then... for now..." he said with a little laugh. "But... I will be back... you can bet on that. You see... I've got my eyes on you... I think I see my next victim..." he said with a little laugh.
