Although the plate had enough for two Desiree doubted that he had planned on sharing with her but he had probably passed her room and figured that she needed some protection and in all honesty she did. Since King Richard died, John had dismissed her guards and gave them to his wife; her ladies went to his wife as well. Desiree had no one now, so many nights she went without because she didn’t want to wonder out of her room after dark.

She closed the door behind them “To keep in the heat it can get really cold” She stated. That was part of the reason but it was also partly now that she knew who he was she felt oddly attracted to him. He was a fine looking man, and had more then enough to care for her and him. Not that she needed much, she was used to living in nearly poverty since John took over but it was too much to ask for, Justin could have any lady in the kingdom now especially since he was just given even more land but for now she would have fun, she had seen the other ladies flirt and court it looked like fun and decided to give it a try.

She took the wine with the smile. “Thank you” She took the seat and then took a long sip of the wine as he sat down. She studied him, and wondered if King Richard hadn’t died if they would be married already and if she would have born him a heir. She smiled at the thought of his muscular body over her as she took another deep sip of her wine.

“Thank you Baron for thinking of me and sharing your food” She said softly as she took a piece of meat and brought it to her lips. She smiled at Justin she filled her goblet again. “Hmmm I wasn’t sleeping just relaxing and thinking for the first time since King Richard died and I was moved into that carrage I was able to sleep, thanks to you Baron”

She took more sips of her wine and kept her glance at him as she continued to eat. She didn’t realize how hungry she was but she remained lady like and made sure she didn’t eat too much of it for it was really his food he was just sharing with her.

She looked down at her robe. “I suppose I am not dressed very lady like is it offence to you?” She asked with a flirty twinkle in her eyes

Justin watched her close the door. He nodded as she explained. Castles were a bit drafty and cold. Each room had a large fire place and servents made sure that each room had a good supply of chopped up wood for the fires. Watching her eat and drink he smiled as she talked. He had a surprise for her comming that he figured she would like. He took some of the food and wine and sat down opposit her and leaned back in the chair. Munching on some meat and cheese and some bread he grinned as she called him Baron.

"Justin." he said softly. "Baron is so formal and this is by no means a formal gathering." he chuckled. It was about time that they called each other by their first names he figured. At least while they were alone. He also noticed she was eating sparingly. Shaking his head, he told her, "Eat your fill. There is plenty more in the kitchens and we can raid it as much as we like." again he chuckled. In the royal castle there was no shortage of food and wine. The king's man tha procured things like that made sure there were enough food to feed everyone in the castle, including the servents.

When she spoke of how she was dressed, he grinned. "Well if you don't say any thing to anyone I won't." He wouldn't mind seeing her with alot less on. The sight of a naked woman was always exciting. In his time with King Richard, he had seen many. Soldiers, nobles and the like were no different when it came to wanting women, even those that were married. War had a way of making men's desires burn alot deeper. But he was now back in civilization and had to act proper, well to a certain extent anyways. He could see she had some lovely curves. Her tits were nice size, and her ass was well rounded. She had a slim waist and he imagined soft and smooth skin. Yes he would not mind seeing her naked and perhaps enjoy feeling her body on his hands and more.

Smiling to her self as he showed no surprise of her closing the door. She had been right the castle was drafty and she did want to keep in her precious heat. She had no servents to stock her wood. A compassionate woodcutter would always cut down extra wood for her but she was responsible for getting it to hr room, John seemed to be out to punish her and anyone that helped her. Desiree knew that he was trying to force her to go to him and beg for help, but Desiree didn’t want to be alone with him, she knew he wanted to bed her, but Desiree still had hopes that she would be loved and would be married. She could take care of herself. King Richard had seen to that giving her ridding lessons and archery lessons, she knew how to do basic medical not that she would ever be allowed to tend to the wounded since she was female. She also knew how to cook and sew, and read and write yes she would make a good wife to anyone that would have her.

Licking her lips as she watched he ate she broke herself out of her trance. “Forgive me Ba-Justin” she quickly corrected herself. “I tend to get lost in thought a lot” She smiled as he told her to eat more. “I don’t normally leave my room at this time” She shrugged not really wanting to go further with her explanation.

She giggled as he said that he wouldn’t mention in. Then taking another sip of wine she sighed contently. She was about to ask him what made him stop by her room when she noticed the fire dying. “Excuse me” She stood then walked over to the fire and placed in two more logs and poked them with the poker to make sure they caught fire. Then looking at the pile speaking to herself “I will have to get more tomorrow” She then stood and whipped her hands clean then turned back to him. Had he heard what she had just said? She had no choice but to sit back down and play with a strand of hair.

“So Justin what are your plans for tomorrow?”

Justin knew all about her plight from the gossip of the castle. After he had first saw her, not that long ago, he had inquired about her. It seemed that King John was trying to break her will and make her come to him so he could have his way with her. He had to grin when he thought of how dissapointed he was going to be when the plans he had set in motion came to be. He could see the anger well up in King John but not be able to do anything about it. Another thorn in his side that would not go away.

He had heard what she said but said nothing about it. But as she poked the fire with the poker, he said. "I see your stock of wood is low. I will have one of my men bring up plenty in the morning for you." when she asked what he was planning for the next day, he chuckled. "Not sure at the moment, but hopefully something that will be most painful to John." his grin was broad and his eyes full of mischief.

He ate a little more and drank some more wine and then rose. He left the remainder of the food on the table for Desiree. "I think that it is time to be off to my own quarters." he took her hand and raised it to his lips first kissing the back of it then turning her hand and kissing its palm and wrist. "Till morning." he smiled as he looked up into her eyes and then opened the door and let himself out and gently closed it as he made sure no one was about to see him.

Cocking her head to the side when he told her that he would get his men to bring her some wood she then smiled a grateful smile. “As long as it is not a inconvenience to your men Justin” But she was grateful carrying the wood was hard work but she was sure that King John wouldn’t like her getting help and that made it all the better she had bested the King of England she knew that would ripple through the court. People would start assuming that there was them something going on, but she didn’t care she knew now that King Richard had already started to plan their courting, she only hoped that Justin would continue it.

When he mentioned that he didn’t have anything planned she smiled to herself, perhaps they could continue their walk from before that had been cut shot. John had many gardens or maybe a horse ride and a picnic. Was she getting to ahead? Most likely but every young woman wanted to be married and she hoped that he would take her away from John and court.

“Well maybe we can attempt another walk since our last one was cut so short John would most likely not like that, be away from him” She winked. She then moved to sit down again she ate and drank a little more wine. She liked his companionship but when he made to leave she hide her disappointment best she could.

She curtsied as he kissed her hand.

“Until tomorrow then” She walked him to the door, then locked that door, but left the door that conjoined the rooms unlocked. She ate a little more, grateful that he had left her more food, but worried that he was still hungry but as he said he could always go down to the kitchen.

Downing another goblet of wine she climbed into her bed and closed her eyes smiling to herself, her life was about to get more interesting, she wondered why Justin was taking such a interest in her. She had a feeling that he had something planned and looked forward to see what it was, how was he going to upset John? She snuggled deeper into her quilt wondering if she should put more wood on the fire she didn’t want to get out of bed though so she just pulled the blankets up further and hoped that the fire wouldn’t go out before Justin’s men came with more wood. She only hoped that they wouldn’t see her as weak, or hate her for making them have more work. She could do it herself, but Justin wanted to help her and she liked that so she would deal with the fall out however it happened.

Justin returned to his own quarters and stoked the fire and placed some more wood on it. Things had been going pretty good so far and he wanted that to continue. He had no idea of what Desiree's lands were like in France, but with the King managing them it might not be doing to well. He would send one of his more diplomatic advisers over to learn more so he could formulate a plan if necessary to undo the harm that may have been done there.

King John was meeting with his own personal cronies on a matter that made the King grin from ear to ear. He was tired of the Highwayman and was going to set a trap for him. He had already sent a new Sheriff to Nontingham to deal with the outlaw there known as Robin Hood, along with one of his most trusted Knights. If they rid him of the troublesome outlaw then there would be nobility in it for both of them. The trap he was laying for the Highwayman would involve more tax collections, but the guarded Tax Collector would not be the one that had the gold, and there would be another group of mounted soldiers at the ready to pounce once the Highwayman stopped the Tax Collector.

Although Desiree did not want to leave her warm bed the fear of her fire going out during the night and Justin being woken by her shivering over whelmed her and she slipped out of the warm bed and quickly moved to her fire and added the rest of her fire hoping that would last her until the morning she then quickly got back into her bed and blew out her candle snuggled deep into the bed the few blankets that she had, nothing like the lavish quilts she had when Richard was King but enough for her, she still refused to go to King John and beg for help. She took one last look at the door that ajoined their rooms, it was unlocked but she knew that he wouldn’t be sneaking in to see her, he was a real gentleman she smiled and that thought, closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Her dream was the same. Dark figures killing her dear father forcing her to watch, telling her that it was it was her fault. Her poor father, her running to him her being coated in his blood her hearing his final words ‘I love you.” The dark figures then coming for her ripping off her clothes and laughing exposing their members to her. Finally Richard came upon her and saved her.

She was tossing and turning and whimpering in her sleep until she woke with a start dripping in sweat she was panting and shaking but then she laid down and went back to sleep.

Even though she had stocked the fire before she went to bed the fire was slowly dying she began to shiver in her sleep but remained asleep. She had the next day off so her body was forcing her to sleep even through the cold.

Re: The Outlaws of England (Reserved)

Justin climbed into bed and relaxed as the warmth of the fire filled the room. Castles were drafty and cold at times, especially during the winter months. One had to put something along the bottom of the doors to keep the cold air out. It was now the beginning of Fall and the cold winter days would soon be coming. He fell asleep and slept for a few hours before awakening and as he lay there on his bed, covered with his heavy quilt he remembered that Desiree did not have such a quilt. Even with a fire going it would not be all that warm.

Sighing he got dressed again and took another heavy quilt from a wardrobe and carried it back down to her room. He knocked softly but did not get a reply. Trying the door, it was not locked so he opened it slowly and entered the darkened room. The single candle he carried lit the room up and he saw that the fire had died down and it was getting cold in the room. Shaking his head he moved to her bed and unfolded the quilt and covered her with it. He smiled as made sure she was completely covered by the heavy quilt. He then silently left the room, closing the door behind him.

He then found a servent that was making sure that windows were closed tightly against the cold night air and with a stern look ordered him to fetch more wood for Desiree and rekindle the fire in her fire place. The servent, shaking in his shoes nodded and ran off to do his bidding. A few minutes later he came back with two more servents carrying armloads of fire wood. Cautioning them to be quiet he opened the door and let them into her room. They quietly piled the wood up and got the fire going again before they left. Taking out a gold coin for each of them, he placed one in each of their hands. They smiled and bowed low thanking him. "Now you three keep quiet about this." He then returned to his own rooms and again stripped and climbed into bed, blowing out the candle.

The room had gotten cold really fast, Desiree was tempted to go and knock on the door that connected the rooms she was certain that there were extra blankets in his room, but if by chance he didn’t answer the little bit of heat that was in her blankets would be lost, and she would be even more cold, then she might come down with the sweating sickness, and death may claim her just when her life was just turning towards good again. So she decided to stay in the bed and pray that she would see the morning.

Desiree was none the wiser about the knock on the door, her teeth were chattering too much so she didn’t hear it and she didn’t hear him coming in either she was too buried in the blankets to even notice some one was in the room with her. When the blanket was placed on her she was surprised but she knew it was Justin, she knew that John wouldn’t care that she was cold and he had all the servants too scared to help her but the blanket almost immediately began to warm her up so she sighed calmed down. She snuggled into the blankets but continued to pretend to sleep, she had a feeling that he wanted this done in secret; he was such a sweat heart always thinking of her she would have to find a way to thank him in the morning.

When he left she thought he was done so really relaxed and soon she was finally warm enough now she closed her eyes and was soon fast asleep her dreams were calmer now, herself and Justin ridding through a meadow together. She was happy and free from John’s power and reign

She didn’t hear the people come in and start her fire again. She was finally warm. She smiled in her sleep and even when her body awoke her a few hours later the fire was still going and there was a load of wood she looked at the roaring fire in shock. Then to the door that adjoined their rooms with a smile, he really did care about her. It seemed as it someone had kept it going.

Desiree knew that she had to get ready, although King John had given her the day off, which was spoken in drunkenness and from experience that John did not always remember what was spoken in his drunken state. So she knew she had to check in for the day, then if she really had the day off it would be said and she would check in with Justin to see if he had any plans for the day.

She looked toward the door that connected the room, but she didn’t even have time to thank him, she quickly got dressed placed her hair in her bonnet and made sure she had her heavy dresses on hand me downs from the other servants but she didn’t care. She was able to tie them up this time; it was a more simple dress. So she didn’t have to bother Justin again.

Making her bed she opened the door and walked towards where the queen was. Wondering what would happen today she wasn’t not in the dinning room so she took her place in the corner. Waiting for the King and Queen to come in for breakfast..

When they did she curtsied, the King looked at her

“Ahh Desiree how was your night last night warm enough for you?”

“I was quite warm enough Your Majesty” Desiree smiled at his shocked look. But the Queen had sat down so the King after glaring at her grunted and sat down. He was going to get through to her no matter what and Desiree knew her life was going to get rougher but she liked rubbing it the Kings face that she did not need to come running to him for everything.

The Queen smiled at Desiree. “My dear I do believe you should go ridding with the Baron today since your last walk was cut so short by the highwayman” Before Desiree could reply John exploded.

“WHY EVEN MENTION HIM” He growled and waved his arms to dismiss the room. Desiree curtsied and walked out but not before hearing John mumbling about catching the highwayman and making him pay.

Shaking her head Desiree walked up the stairs to his room and lightly knocking on the door, she would explain that she had been dismissed for at least now, due to John really angry against him and to thank him for the blankets and the fire.

Being a noble no one bothered him unless it would have been an extreme emergency. He slept in enjoying the soft bed and warm quilt and fire. His man servent that accompanied him to the King's Castle made sure that his fire did not go out and he took it upon himself to make sure that Desiree's did not go out either. He had a small room off the bed chamber of Justins and had become accustom to waking during the night to make sure all was right. He knew that Justin was one not for having to be dressed or nonsence like that as other nobles did. His life was fairly easy. He made sure Justin's clothes were cleaned and his bed made and the like. Packed the clothes when they traveled and insured that wood was there for the fire place or there was fresh water to wash with. Justin did most of everything else for himself.

Justin lay there as he woke up and streached. He just wanted to lay there and enjoy being able to do nothing, but he knew he had to make an appearance at breakfast and continue to make the King think he was a loyal supporter. As the light knock came at the door he rose and threw on a heavy robe over his naked body. He crossed the room and opened the door to find Desiree there. "Well now this is a nice surprise early in the morning." he grinned. One could see his bare chest and legs below the knee, and therefore tell he had nothing on beneath the robe. "Did you sleep well?" he asked.

Standing there in front of the door so early in the morning Desiree started to doubt herself. Justin was a nobleman and she was waking him up. This wasn’t the smartest thing she had ever done. But she wanted to thank him for the warm quilt and the firewood she had felt him she was certain that it was the Baron that had done it for the person had come from their adjourning door. She could have caught her death if it had not been for him. Then he went over the top and restarted her fire that she had let foolishly die out, and then to top it all off he restocked her firewood pile, yes he deserved at the very least a thank you. Even as the highway man, and the man that she was supposed to be promised too he was still going over the top.

She was still doubting herself and she nearly turned away to come back at another time when she heard shuffling she took a deep breath. She took a step back as the door opened. She curtsied then smiled at him blushing slightly at his state she could clearly tell that he was naked except for the robe. “I slept very well thanks to a guardian angel, who not only put a nice warm quilt on me but also restarted my fire and gave me a pile of wood. And kept it going throughout the night” She walked to him and took his hand and lightly kissed it while looking up at him. “Thank you, I could have caught my death”

Sensing people near by she curtsied again. “I have been dismissed from breakfast, the King is still too upset about the highwayman claims he is going to catch him and make him pay.” She smiled up at him. “Unless you are hungry I do say I have at least till midmorning if you want to finish our walk from yesterday” Her eyes twinkled, she wanted to thank him again but she wasn’t sure if he wanted it out in the open that he was helping her. She did wonder though, he looked very rested to have kept her fire going throughout the night, but couldn’t think of anyone else that would care if she died.

Desiree smiled at him trying to keep her eyes on his face and not let them drop down to look at his bare knees, but she couldn’t help it. He caused her innards to stir and that confused her. She had never felt this week kneed around any man nor had any man made her feel so special like he had.

Justin grinned as she thanked him for the wood, fire, and quilt. "Well now I could not have a lovely lady catching her death now could I." When she told him that she was not needed by the queen for awhile, and asked him if he would like to continue their walk, he nodded. "Give me a bit to get dressed and I will meet you in the garden." he told her. Breakfast would have to wait and he would make an excuse to the king. He closed the door and then had his servent bring him some clean clothes and quickly dressed. Once he was properly dressed, he strapped on his sword and dagger and left his rooms to walk down to the garden.

On his way down, one of his men approached and talked to him. "The tax collector from the east will be heading back in another day. That will give us two days to intercept him, well enough away from London."

"Make the arrangements for our departure. I will talk to the king later and inform him I have to return to my barony for some urgent business." His soldier nodded and moved to do his bidding. He would walk in the garden with Desiree, then later that day meet with the king and inform him he had to return to his barony. It was not long before he spotted Desiree and aproached her, taking her hand and raising it to his lips to kiss the back of it then turning it over to kiss her wrist and palm. He kept hold of her hand as he moved even closer to him and raised his other hand to her face and leaned in to kiss her deeply.

When he broke the kiss he caressed the side ofher face, "In a little bit I must leave. Another chance to strike at the king's purse strings." he smiled. "I will leave my man servent here to help tend to your needs. He is a good man and will keep your fire going and wood for it." he then turned and took her arm and began walking.

Bowing to Justin Desiree made as if she was going to the garden but slipped into her room and to a small drawer she took out a small favour, about the size of a handkerchief. Then she went into the garden, there was a bit of a chill in the air, but she was used to not having a shawl to keep her warm so it didn’t bother her that much. The sun was shinning and she lifted face to the crisp sun. She knew that the King was mad and would give the highway man Justin, no mercy and if Justin were caught it would not end well. But she trusted that Justin would never be caught and maybe just maybe he would whisk her away from the hell of court life.

She was just about to doubt that he was coming to see her when she finally saw him approaching her. She smiled and bowed her head to him. “Baron” She had to be formal in case anyone was watching. That was broken though when he kissed her, even just the simple acts of him kissing her hand made her knees go weak and she nearly lost her footing as he moved closer and kissed her deeply. If he had not been holding on to her she was certain that she would have ended up on the ground.

When he broke the kiss her lips were red and swollen from the attention and her eyes were soft. She looked up at him as he caressed her face. Hearing that he was leaving made her feel a little sad, he made life with John bearable but she also knew that he had to go. She nodded “Alright Justin” She smiled and walked with him.

Finally when they were at a place that was a little private she pulled the small favor from her bosoms and handed it to him.

“To keep you safe” She placed her small hands over his large ones as she gave it to him. She looked him in the eyes and stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the lips. Lightly biting his lower one while her eyes danced with mischief.

She knew that he had to go, she sighed sadly “Maybe when you come back we can take a ride, I do love to ride” She curtsied to him. “I am in your service” Then she suddenly shook her head. “You’re leaving your manservant with me?” She was flabbergasted. “But wouldn’t he be upset, I have nothing to tip him with”

She looked up at him a little nervous “I of course thank you Mi Lord, someone to keep my fire warm will help me a lot” She gently stroked his arm “How long do you think you will be gone?”

Justin took the favor and shoved it up into the sleve of his shirt. A favor of a lady was very important and showed that she had an intrest in you. He took her hand and raised it to his lips and kissed it, then again brought her close and claimed her lips for yet another deep and passionate kiss. When he told her about the manservent she looked shocked, and bewildered. He chuckled and told her, "He is my servent and need no tipping." he caressed her face again. "He will obey your orders and King John will not be able to take him away."

He liked the feel of her in his arms, his hands move over her back and he drank in the smell of her perfume. "I am not sure how long it will take." he told her, But I will try to make it as short as possible." In their secluded spot none would see them. But they had to continue on as there were others out in the garden besides them. He continued their walk not wanting to have to go, but to make John's life a bit more misserable. When the time came he pulled her again into a secluded spot and kissed her deeply. "That will have to last me till I see you again." he grinned. At long last he had to leave and he escorted her to the castle again and then bowed. "Till I return." he again kissed her hand and took his leave.

He made his way to the throne room where the king was doing buisness and knelt on one knee. "Sire, I have received word from my barony that there is things there that needs my attention. I ask your permission to return there immediately and take care of it."

John looked down at him from the thone. "Of course my friend. Make haste and return as soon as you can." Justin rose and thanked the king and then turned and left. His men were waiting him and they were soon on their way. They rode a bit hard to put distance between them and London and close the gap between them and the tax collector."

In between the deep, passionate kisses and him accepting her favor Desiree felt as if she was walking on air everything was looking up. Although King Richard was dead, the man he had chosen for her had still found a way to her sure he hadn’t asked to start courting her yet, or she didn’t think he had but it didn’t matter she would gladly run away with him if he would ask. She continued to nod when he talked about his manservant. She was grateful though. Even someone just to keep her fires going at night would be a big help. John would not like it and that made it all the better.

She didn’t want him to leave and it was clear that he did not want to leave her either but they both wanted John to suffer more and the only way to make him suffer was to hit him in his purse. He loved his money the most and Desiree knew she had to be strong for Justin.

The feeling of his arms around her made her feel safe she knew that he would protect her. He had already shown that after the other baron had struck her. She breathed in his scent and tried to memorize his every feature.

“May my favor keep you safe” She said then stood on her tippy toes and whispered into his year “And may it make you successful” When he kissed her again she gasped and her breath was taken away she quickly recovered and returned the kiss.

When he released her she looked up at him. “I shall be keeping an eye out for you” She smiled. The closer they got to the castle the more tense and rigid Desiree became, no longer relaxed or happy as she had been with Justin. She returned his bow with a curtsey and walked into the castle to her rooms as he went to the throne room.

His manservant was there adding to the woodpile. He bowed to him. “Mi Lady” Desiree smiled “Thank you for the wood” He smiled. “If I may be bold” Desiree smiled back

“At any time with me please” He continued

“Anyone who makes the Baron smile like you do deserves much more then wood”

Desiree blushed. And walked to the window and watched Justin ride out.

Desiree turned to the Manservant “I suppose I should see if I am needed” She smiled and walked to where the Queen was.

The day was long and boring, she felt oddly empty with the knowledge that Justin wouldn’t be in his adjoin room. Desiree stood by the Queen through the lunch meal and then sat and sewed with her until the evening meal.

When the evening meal was over she was dismissed for the night. She made it back to her room and was surprised to find a plate of food there and a goblet of wine. She grinned looking around for Justin’s Manservant but finding none she sat down to eat but a knock on the door distracted her.

Answering it she was surprised to see her old tiring maids. She greeted them with a smile as did they she was then informed that Justin’s Manservant had sent them. She grinned.

“I have missed you” They helped her out her dress then into her nightgown.

“We have been ordered to return in the morning too” Desiree looked up and smiled “We wish we could stay longer but”

Desiree put her hand up “Don’t worry I understand” The ladies smiled and then took their leave. Desiree finished her meal then went to her water basin, which was filled again probably by Justin’s Man Servant and washed her face then climbed into bed. She fell asleep thinking about Justin.

In the morning true to their words the tiring maids were there again and helped her get dressed. On her table was a plate of breakfast, she smiled again and once she was dressed and the servants had left she sat down and ate the breakfast. Normally in the morning she wasn’t needed and the tiring servants had confirmed that so she took her time.

When she was done she washed her face and brushed her hair and braided it. Finally she stood and walked to the Queen’s sitting room. Seeing her there she curtsied and then walked to the Queen and sat down.

“I do have good news for you my Desiree” Desiree turned to her.

“My Queen?” She asked softly.

“That evil highway man that nearly attacked you, well my husband has lain a trap, he is going to be caught and given a traitors death I just feel sorry for Baron Greystone he would have liked to get his hands on the man that scared the woman he is interested in”

Desiree felt ill, brining a hand to her head she spoke quietly “The memories have given me a headache may I be excused”

The Queen nodded “Of course my child shall I send a doctor to bleed you?” Desiree shook her head.

“No thank you My Queen I think I just need a rest” She curtsied and then went to her room. She was panicking. Quickly knocking on the adjoining door she needed to find his manservant when he answered she quickly and quietly whispered

“It’s a trap Justin is in great danger, please find him and warned him” It had been over 24 hours since he had left and there was little chance he could be warned and less chance if she went with him. “I can not ride that fast and hard but you can please I know he told you to stay here with me, but he needs you more” She brought a hand to her head “I told the Queen I have a headache, I can stay in bed with one for a couple days and I will be tended too, when I am ill John allows servants to tend to me, wants me well to be married off”

She looked up at him with fear in his eyes “Please try to find him and warn him, I love him”

Re: The Outlaws of England (Reserved)

Justin and his men had rode a long way and came to an Inn. Here they stopped for some food and drink and to stay the night. Once they entered the Inn one could almost hear a pin drop. Before the sounds of voices could be heard outside the Inn. There was laughter and singing. But when they entered that stoped. He was a baron and that meant that they feared him. One wrong word and one might find himself hanging from a tree. Justin nodded to a table and his men moved to it and sat down. "Wine and food." Justin called out to the Inn Keeper.

The man nodded and spoke to a couple of the serving girls and they hurried off to the kitchen. He could see the fear and mistrust of nobles in the eyes of those there. They were all hard working people that kept the ruling baron fed and money. It was not his barony, but another. His the people would not be so quite. They would welcome the noble and keep on making merry.

The music did begin again but the talk was more quiet where he and his men could not hear. The food came along with the wine and Justin and his men ate. The Inn Keeper came over to the table to see if there was anything else that he and his men needed. "A place to sleep good sir." he nodded and told Justin that after they had eaten he would show them the rooms.

Justin's manservent listened to what Desiree said and he immediately went and grabbed a few things and bowed to Desiree. "I will find him my lady." and then he was off to the stables and not long after was riding hard to follow where Justin had gone. He put the spurs to the horse's flanks and was at a full gallop before across the draw bridge of the castle.

At the Inn, Justin fingered the favor that Desiree had given him. He thought of her and could not wait to get back to her. The taste of her lips were still on his. He would be talking to the queen about Desiree when he got back. To make his intentions known.

Nodding to the manservant as he said that he would find him. She waited until he had left the room she then walked to the window and watched as he took off over the draw bridge she said a silent prayer then locked both doors and laid down on the bed and wept. She didn’t mind if the noises continued. She had come down with headaches before and had wept then so it would not raise the alarm.

King John, knowing that Justin was no longer in the castle went to go visit Desiree in her room, but the Queen stopped him.

“She is feeling ill my love”

The King froze he did not like sickness. “Everyone is to leave her alone, food is to be left at her door” Everyone nodded and went back to his or her work. That how it was, no one wanted to show Desiree sympathy she had supported King John when he was gone.

Up in the room Desiree could not stop crying she couldn’t believe that she had gotten so close to being loved and being taken away from the horrors of King John, and now if the manservant didn’t get there in time she would lose Justin and the people of her land would continue suffer.

Hours passed and she had still was crying hard, her body was shaking hard, her face was tearstained, her head was really pounding now. As darkness fell she felt ill she sat up and went to the chamber pot and puked. Taking a sip of the wine that had been left behind her she splashed some cold water on her face and climbed back into bed.

For not the first time she wished she had a pet that she could snuggle with. She had nothing though. Then sitting up in bed she thought of something quietly she went over to the door that lead into his room and took off the blanket that just had used and took it back to her room. Finally she was able to fall into a restless sleep.

Her nightmares where full of Justin being tortured and killed right in front of her and she could do nothing to stop it.

Justin and his men sat and ate their meal and drank thier ale. He hated to see the people like this. So afraid of the nobility. But he knew they had every right to be. Prince John and some of the nobility had made them this way. But from what he had heard, the barons of the north were not like those in the south. They were refusing to pay taxes to John and seemed to treat their people well. He could only hope that one day they would revolt and lead an army to dispose John and put some one else on the throne.

Once he was done eating he signaled the Inn Keeper and rose from the tabe. The Inn Keeper showed him and his men to the rooms that they would use that night. Justin gave the man three times the amount that would be charged for the rooms. "My apology for spoiling the merriment of the people here."

As Justin was preparing to retire for the night, his manservent Henry was still riding hard. He could only hope that he could catch up to Justin in time. He Lady Desiree was quite worried about him and that made Henry smile. Finally his Master had found someone and that pleased him.

The queen came to Desiree's room to check on her. She opened the door and entered the room, closing the door behind her. She shook her head and walked over to Desiree. "What is wrong? Why have you been crying?"she asked.

Although she was dreaming she was finally able to wake herself up. Sitting up in bed she hugged Justin’s blanket breathing in his scent. She walked to the wash biasen again and splashed some cool water on her face again and walked back to her bed and laid back down.

Her dreams were slipping away, her dream of getting away from court life, away from John, being with a man that would love her. She sighed and tried to get back to sleep. She closed her eyes and prayed that the manservant would reach John in time; she couldn’t handle seeing him tortured and killed. She would die herself.

She hated not knowing what was going on and regretted not going too, but surely he could ride faster with her not there but now she could have no idea what would happen.

Hearing her door open she tried to wipe away the tears but it was pointless. It was written all over her face that she had been crying and crying hard.

When she saw that it was the Queen she tried to stand but she shook her head. “Mi Child lay yourself down”

Desiree nodded “Yes your Majesty”

“So tell me what has you crying” The Queen asked again,

“I think I am in love with the Baron Grey stone, but I know the King as a different match made for me” It was true she was in love with him, and she was certain that the King would not approve and she would be forced to marry a man who would further John’s power and reach.

She looked at the Queen “My head hurts all the more now” She suddenly got more scared “Please don’t let them bleed me it makes it all the worse I am just in love with a man I can never have”

The queen came and sat down on the bed beside Desiree. She took one of her hands and patted it. She smiled down at Desiree. "I was hoping that you would become intrested in him. He seems to be a very handsome and well to do man. I saw how he looked at you, that first day at court." It seemed the queen had been indeed arranging it so that Justin and Desiree would have time together.

"Fear not, I will be there for you and your Justin." she told Desiree, "Now you sleep and cry no more." she got up and moved back to the door. "I have my way with my husband." she chuckled and then left.

Justin and his men began getting their beds ready for the night when a knock came at Justin's door. He opened it up and there was one of the barmaids from the tavern. She was a large tited worman that made sure alot of ther tits showed. She was young and had a nice figure. She gave Justin a smile and licked her lips. "Good sir, are you in need of a night of pleasure." Justin chuckled as he knew what the woman was offering. If he wanted he could have her for the night for a price. Any other time he might have taken her up on that offer, but the thought of Desiree made him shake his head. "Another time perhaps but not this time." he told her. "But my men might enjoy your company and if they are satisfied with your services, I will double your normal rate." He then shut the door and laid down on his bed.

When the Queen came closer. Desiree was even more nervous, would she see through the lies? Would she be banished to the Tower? Would Justin be caught and sentenced to die a traitor’s death, which was the worse then any death, either being boiled in oil or hung till half dead, cut down, quartered and disemboweled. Then pieces of his body sent to different parts of the country as a warning. He would never be laid to rest. The thought made her ill but she did her best to hide it.

A small smile appeared on her face when the Queen said that she would be there for them “Thank-you your majesty” She did feel a little better, for now she knew that when Justin made it back she might be betrothed to him and that would make life at court bearable, having the knowledge that it would soon be over. She licked her lips and nodded as the Queen told her to rest. She nodded “Yes your majesty”

Her head was throbbing so much but exhaustion from crying finally kicked in and she fell into a restless sleep. Filled with nightmares. She woke a little before dawn feeling worse then before. She hoped that all the ladies would leave her alone, that word would get around that she was ill and she wouldn’t have to do attend to the Queen or anyone today.

If she had even the strength to get out of bed she would see that her face was blotchy her hair was matted and messed up. Her eyes were red and swollen and her cheeks were tear stained. She was pale yet had a fever from all her worry and Crying. She held Justin’s blanket closer to her and breathed in his scent. Saying a silent prayer from him and his manservant that he would get there in time and get back to her

Justin heard the woman knock on the door where his men were and heard their voices. It seemed that she was found pleasing to them. He chuckled as he made himself ready for bed. His men would be happy and well satisfied for awhile. His thoughts went to Desiree. He would not mind stirpping her down till she was naked and enjoy her sweet body. He had seen her with her thin undergarment on. The swell of her hips and the buldges of her lovely tits. He wondered if she would allow him to make love to her.

Henry continued to ride hard, only stopping to let his horse rest and to eat and drink a bit before continuing on. Justin had a good head start and he could only hope to catch him before it was to late.

The night passed and in the morning there came a knock on Desiree's door. Outside were two women, strangers to the royal court but not to courtly duties. They were travel weary but they had their orders and would obey them until they were given permission to rest. After knocking, they entered the room and presented themselves. "Mistress, we are sorry for the intrusion, but the Baron Greystone has given us orders that we were to present ourselves immediately upon or arrival from his barony. I am Ellen, and this is Elizabeth. We are your new servents. Is there anything we can do for you my lady?"

Justin arose and dressed, and went down to the tavern to see what they had for breakfast. His men slowly came down smiles on their lips and nudging one another. It seemed they had enjoyed the evening, well. Justin took out some coins as he spotted the woman making her way to her room. He placed the coins in her hand. "I see you have pleased them quite well." he chuckled and then moved back to his men. To them he said, "We should meet up with the tax collector shortly." he grinned again. "Soon John will be denied more of the blood money he sends his soldiers to collect."

Indeed not long after Justin was setting his men along the road in hidden spots so they could spring upon the soldiers guarding the gold. He changed into the clothing of the Highwayman and prepared to present himself. The sound of a fast moveing horse however made him stop and take cover. He only stepped out when he saw that it was Henry.

Henry reigned in the horse. Justin could see that the animal had been ridden hard. "My lord, a message from the Lady Desiree." He said quickly. "It is a trap and there be no gold. The taxes are being carried by a lone soldier back to London." Justin placed a hand on the mans leg and nodded. "Go find a place to rest." he told him and then gathered his men. There was but one other way to London and it would not be hard to find the lone soldier, probably in disguise.

When the soldiers and wagon came, Justin and hismen were well on their way to find the real courrier.

Desiree would have spent the night in bed, although she had not eaten since Justin had left she was not very hungry. She was too worried about Justin. Had she given his manservant enough time? She had given him all the time that she could but was it enough? She doubted that she would be well until her eyes laid upon Justin again. The fact that the Queen supported her and him made it all the better.

Her hopes of staying in bed were dashed when she heard a knock on her door. She sat up in bed and stood ready to present herself. When she saw two strangers she blinked. When they introduced themselves she gasped. “He….” She smiled. Justin had given her what King John had taken away. She walked to them seeing how tired they were. “I am to be sick in bed for the day” She looked around “Tis just a megrim, I know I look a fright, maybe just some fresh water and then please rest, when you are rested maybe you can keep me company and tell me about yourself”

She was not used to having ladies anymore and she would treat them well, much as friends then servants, she didn’t want them to despise her. She looked up at them “Have you broke your fast (breakfast)?”

Seeing how Desiree looked when she got out of bed the two women immediately rushed to her sides and escorted her back to bed. "Now don't you fret non my lady, we will take care of you first and then bother about ourselves. We know all about you not having anyone to help you, and a lady of the court needs some one to look after her. No wonder you are sick and all. Poor dear, you just relax and we will get you all better and looking good for the Baron. They both grinned at that. "It is about time that his lordship has taken an interest in some one. Especially after returning from the holy land and all." They got her tucked into bed and one went to stoke the fire and put more wood on it.

"Now we will be back in a bit with some food and some clean water. You just stay in bed and rest." Mary said. Both of them left and one returned a bit later with a tray of food a pitcher of clean water. Elizabeth returned a bit later after she had found the servant quarters that were set aside for Justin's servants and taking her's and Mary's things there.

Mary served up some food on a dish for Desiree and then for her and Elizabeth. Both pulled up chairs by the bed, "Now you must tell us everything about how you and the Baron met." they smiled eagerly awaiting her story.

Justin and his men rode through the country side and arrived at the road that the tax collector would be on. Sure enough a short time later he showed up, riding slowly, another horse in tow that had large wooden boxes tied to it. Just rode out and confronted the man as his men, all wearing kerchiefs about their faces, came up behind him. "Let us ease the burden of that horse my friend. Surely all that gold and silver must be weighing heavily on its poor back." Before long the Tax Collector was tied to his horse and a smack on its rump had it on it's way again and Justin and his men was escorting the horse with the gold and silver in another direction. "You know what to do with this." he told them chuckling. "I need to get back to London. You will return there once you have spread the wealth." he then turned and rode hard for London.

As the ladies rushed forward and led her to bed Desiree didn’t know what to think. She hadn’t anyone to help her in so long and she wasn’t sure how to react to it. If they had been sent to her by anyone but Justin she would have most likely dismissed them but she trusted Justin and she knew that he wanted to do this for her. She found herself smiling. She knew that he did this not only for her but also to piss off King John and that some how made it all the better.

Allowing herself to be put back in bed she smiled at the ladies, they seemed nice and proud to have been chosen to help her why she didn’t know yet. She would let them though she didn’t want to offend them or Justin and it also felt good to have someone there to help her.

When they left she sighed and smiled. So that is what Justin had planned. She only hoped that Justin was reached in time and he would come back for her. Her mind wondered to his body, the taste of him of her lips. She was a maid, but she was getting older and most people her age were already married, or had settled for a life in the court and had been in many of a mans bed but Desiree was neither. She found herself day dreaming about her life with Justin. Children running around, away from the corruption of court life, she knew her life would be a good one with Justin if only he would come home to her.

The sound of the ladies returning brought her out of her daydream. She would have stood but she was still feeling a week. She had not slept well and it was showing. She did sit up when the food was brought and she started to eat as they sat by her bed. She grinned when they asked her about Justin.

“Well truth be told first time I saw him I could have killed him with my eyes” She whispered “The King has been trying to marry me off to some one to better him to make him more rich so I figured Justin would be like the same way” She sighed happily. “Took some doing but he has convinced me other wise”

She brought hand to her face. “When court moved to the country side I was struck by one of the Barons when our caravan was set upon but the highway man and he didn’t steel the gold that was in my carriage” She paused realizing she was rambling. “Forgive me I am not used to having people sitting listening” She continued “When I came back from handing out the gold I was struck in the morning it bruised badly Baron Grey stone saw it and tended to it. She didn’t say how he had tended to it.

“We have had a few walks, but all of them have been cut short but that’s alright” She sighed. “So how about you two, tell me a bit about yourselves and Justin errr Baron Grey Stone” She blushed slightly calling him by his first name.
