For a while now, people have been telling her that she needed help. Seriously though, they never really said what kind of help, or what her problem was supposed to be.

Now, she was being carried by four of the asylum's strongest guards toward her room, which was apparently in isolation. She was half vampire, and half werewolf. However, her wolf form was just like any ordinary wolf, so it wouldn't do her any good in this particular situation. Especially since the cuffs that they managed to get on her wrists were actually silver.

As they entered the grounds, after the large, metal gates closed behind them, they walked for about ten minutes before they reached the interior of the property. Another set of gates, a corridor, a heavy set of doors, and another ten minutes later, they entered a sort of park, which looked like it was the center of the property. A few other patients were here as well. She hoped maybe one of them would freak out so badly that two of the guards had to go take care of it. If that happened, she could escape no problem. At least, until someone decided to shoot her with something.

As they neared the center of the park, she could tell something was going to happen. She wasn't about to trust herself with that though, and started fighting against the guards with all her strength. This at least post-poned her journey to her cell. After a few moments, the guards realised trapping her was the only way they'd stay alive. However, they were very wrong.

One spoke into a walkie talkie, "Requesting permission to use serum on patient 649."

Did they have to give her that number? That was like saying she was some sort of lottery, and everybody wanted her. Using her vampire strength, she broke the cuffs apart, and another guard spoke into his walkie talkie.

"Requesting permission to force sleep on patient 649."

Riley grinned, "None of that will work. I ain't no lottery, and I don't belong here." she said, trying to watch all four guards around her.

All of them laughed out loud at her. "So, killing an entire family because one of them said the wrong thing to you, is something a sane person would do? Yeah."

"They were all conspiring against me!" she yelled at them, "You don't understand!" then, she heard doors open in every direction, and more guards were coming out to remove the other patients from the area.

"Conspiring against you." a young man with white hair said softly. As the other patients were being removed from the central garden of the large complex, the young man was the only one left sitting on a bench. He was not bad looking, but for his young appearance he had pure white hair that was semi long. He was dressed in black pants and shirt but had a white lab coat on with a name tag. It read Dr. Parks. "There are many here that have claimed the same thing." he looked up at Riley with deep blue eyes. Then he looked over at the two guards that held her.

"Release her and undo her shackles." he told the guards. "She will not escape. Then leave us." He slowly stood up, standing six feet tall. The two guards looked at each other and then unlocked her shackles and moved back quickly.

Parks motioned with his right hand for her to have a seat on the bench. "Now one will harm you here." Indeed none would, for they feared what might happen to them if they disobeyed his orders. He did not take his patients well being for granted. Several guards and workers had mysteriously disapeared after they had mistreated some of the patients. He had no trouble hiring people. The money was good as well as the benifits.

Riley shook her head, "Thank you, but I'm fine standing." she said carefully in a low tone, rubbing her wrists as the burning slowly faded. She watched the guards back off, then looked back over at Dr. Parks. "I will escape whether you want me to or not. I don't care how many lives I require to do so." with that said, she turned back toward where she came in. There wasn't any way that they were keeping her here. She thought she didn't belong here, and was determined to get out. As soon as she had turned around, she ran as quickly as she could toward the doors, and drop kicked the weak spot of one of the doors, expecting it to crash open. Instead, her body crashed into the doors, sending her collapsing to the ground. She favoured one of her legs for a few minutes after, slowly recovering from the unbelievably strong doors. She forced herself into a sitting position, and rubbed her leg, forgetting about the few people that saw her.

The two guards had quickly moved away from her and had exited the garden and secured the door. Parks smiled slightly as Riley spoke and then rand for one of the doors. He spoke in a low voice in a strange language. As she reached the door and tried to kick it open her foot met the magical barrier he had placed upon it. But he was not done yet. Placing his right hand slightly before him, his eyes narrowed and again he began chanting in the strange language.

Riely lifted up off the ground and slowly began to move back towards Parks. Once she was there before him, he moved her around to face him. "I am afraid you will find that it is a bit more dificult to escape from this place. He gently lowered her to the ground and then staggered a bit as a wave of dizzyness swept through him. Magic always seemed to do that to him in his human form. Especially if he used it to much and he had already used it a couple other times that morning.

Taking a deep breath he again sat down on the bench. "Now tell me why do you think those people were conspiring against you?" He had read the file on her. The people she had attacked and killed had almost been torn to pieces and a couple of them had very little blood in them. He looked at her with his deep blue eyes, a slight smile upon his lips.

She got up, and sat on the bench opposite him. She looked at him, confused, but didn't say anything yet. Usually, she was able to sense whether people had magic in them or not, but this guy seemed different. She needed to find out why he seemed so.

Riley tucked her legs up against her then hugged them with both arms, setting her chin on one of her knees. "I don't think... I know." she told him, inching closer to him as she looked around the area, making sure the windows were closed, and nobody else was outside with them. When she saw nobody around and only one or two windows opened, she whispered to Dr. Parks, "There's always different people, different creatures going after me. They all either want me all to themselves, or dead. I'm not about to let anybody kill me, and I'm not ready for commitment..." she paused a moment, her memories flooding back about the one wolf she actually did feel that way for, but he ended up leaving because of her job being so demanding.

"They like seeing me suffer." she continued, still whispering to him. "They're all sick. All they want is for me to die. So, I kill them first." she said, not really answering the question, but it also sounded like she killed more than just what reached the news recently.

He definatley could tell that she was not human. Exactly what she was he did not know yet but he would find out. The most pressing matter though was why she killed an entire family and others, from what she had just said. It seemed she was afraid of something, and was possibly making more of it then there really was. But of course she might have some relavence to what she was doing. Not being human would of course make her a target for some, those that thought all non humans were a threat and therefore needed to be eliminated. Others would want her for what she could possibly do.

It was quite possible that she was right about people conspiring against her. But of course that he had to make sure of. "This family that you killed. What was it that they wanted with you? Did they want to kill you? If so why do you think they wanted to?"

His head snapped up and towards one of the doors. It opened and a man entered the garden. He wore a Dark Blue suit, had short cut black hair. Every thing about him screamed Cop. "If you are here to try and take my patient, you will find that you will not be able to until I am done with my evaluation of her."

"Not here to take her." The cop said. He reached into an inner pocket in his suit coat and brought out an envelope. "Seems she has a brother that is looking for her. Just dropping off a court order that says she is not to have any contact with him." The cop looked over at Riley a smirk on his face. Parks could sence something more in that look. As if perhaps her brother might be in trouble.

"I am not anyone's patient." she snapped, "I can't believe you won't let me go. People kill other people every day." she said, avoiding the answer to his question. She knew exactly why. She just wasn't quite ready to share it yet. She'd continue attempts of escape. She didn't care how long it took.

Riley's eyes widened. She knew he'd catch on and look for her. If either one of them were in trouble, they could sense it, and always did anything, killed anyone that got in their way, to save each other. "No! You can't! Visitors are good!" she charged at the cop, aiming a fist at his nose with all her strength as a tear escaped the corner of her eye.

She was fast to react to the Detective's comments. Parks probably could have stopped her. He had the speed and strength to do it but deep down he had a feeling the cop had it coming to him. Perhaps it would help her losen up and tell him what he was sure she was not. He just raised a brow as her fist struck. The Detective tried to move out of the way but she was fast. Blood spurted from his nose as a cry of pain and several curse words escaped his mouth.

"You bitch!" he backed up, one hand going to his face the other reaching under his suit coat. That was when Parks moved. Before the Detective could bring his gun out from under his coat, Parks was before him, a hand on the wrist, squeezing it with sufficent force to cause some pain.

"You provoked the attack Detective and I think you did it purposely. His voice was hard and not to friendly. "I would suggest you go see Dr. Mosely about your nose and then leave"

A growl escaped from the Detectives throat, snarled then turned to leave. Parks let go of the mans wrist and watched him leave. He then turned back to Riley after the man had gone. The man had evidently wanted her to react that way so he could have an excuse to shoot her. "I will send a trusted friend to find your brother and let him know you are alright and also keep an eye on him. Now where were we before we were so rudely interupted." he gave her a friendly smile. He gently took her by the arm and lead her back to the bench. "Now talking about it might help and also give me more insight on your case."

If she was justified in what she had done, then she was not crazy, but then again murder was not something to take lightly. It was after all a crime even if they had been planning her harm. She had been caught doing it, and that was the problem should she not be crazy. But there again he still could help her.

"Send somebody right now!" she yelled at him, shaking his shoulders. "If you don't, I will get out of here and kill you in the process!" she had shed a few more tears, and her nerves were so shot, that she was shaking. "Don't let anybody hurt him!" now she was squeezing his shoulders instead of shaking them. Every second of silence, she squeezed harder and harder. She toned her voice down to a loud whisper "That cop had silver bullets." she said, "Why the hell would he have silver bullets?" she couldn't be bothered to answer his questions yet. She had to be certain that nobody was listening.

He pulled a cell phone from his lab coat pocket and flipped it open. Hitting the speed dial he waited a moment before the call was answered. Looking at the court order he found the address of her brother, "Sam, I need you to go to....." he gave the address, "and inform Mr. Jenson that his sister is in good hands and is alright. Then keep an eye on him. I have a feeling that some one might want to do harm to him. Do what you do best my friend."

Closing the phone he put it away and then caressed the side of her face. "Now you calm yourself. My friend will ensure that no one harms your brother." He had a feeling that with her in such an agitated state that he would not get to far with his evaluation. Again gently as possible, removing her hand from his shoulder. She was strong, his shoulder hurt some from where she had grabbed it. Taking her by the arm again, "Leaving her right now would not help you nor your brother. Besides as long as you are here no one will be able to harm you." he told her in as a soothing voice as possible.

He began guiding her back towards one of the doors. A wave of his hand and it opened for him. "First I will get you situated in a room where you can rest and when Sam calls me back I will let you talk to your brother. But no trying to escape, ok?" he looked down at her.

Riley calmed down a bit once he called for someone to watch over her brother. She knew he was strong enough to defend himself, but some things were too much to take on alone. She was resisting a little bit while following Dr. Parks, not sure if he was telling the truth or not. "When will I get to come back out of the room?" she asked, making sure she was ready to jump away or attack if he showed any sign of lying. She knew he could use magic, but she could only hope that he was limited to how much he could use in one day without harming himself. When the doc said that nobody would hurt her, she came back with, "Nobody will hurt me. Only the ones that have authority to slip through security will."

As they arrived at her room, he opened the door to reveal a simple room yet not one that was steril looking. It was painted in a soft beigh color, had a comfortable looking single bed with a warm comforter. A chest of drawers along with a desk and chair was the only furniture in the room, along with a rug on the floor. "Now if you promise and I mean really promise not to try and escape here, the door will remain unlocked. You will have access to the garden and a couple other areas of this facility." he told her.

As for the loop hole in their security measures that the Detective had used, he was about to fix that as well. He pressed a button on an intercom within the room. "Mr. Dobbs, no one, not even the police are allowed past the administration section of this facility without me signing off on their pass, is that clear?"

"Yes sir Mr. Parks. I will inform the security guards immediately." came a mans voice.

"Now if you should want to talk to me, just press this one here." he pointed to a red button on the pannel. It goes directly to another phone I carry. Now do I have your word that you will not try to escape?"

Riley leaned against the door frame, glaring at him. "Even if I tried to escape, you'd magically stop me one way or another. If nobody comes into my room to bother me, I'll be fine. Otherwise, I will not guarantee anything." she told him, stepping into the room without another word. She hated being in small rooms. Especially rooms that had barred windows. It didn't even look like anything. It seemed to be an immitation of a window, with bricks on the other side of it. If she stayed in here for too long, she'd probably start seeing things instead of those bricks. She sat down on the bed, swinging her feet back and forth while she waited for Dr. Parks to return. After about half an hour, her ADHD was really bothering her, so she got up and walked out to the garden to see what kinds of flowers they had out. Maybe she could make a story out of the way that the flower beds were arranged. Somehow, she had to explain to the doc what she had done and why to end up here. She just needed time to think about how to word it. She killed a whole family, yes. However, there was much more to it than that.

It was not long before Parks got a call from Sam. He had found Riely's brother. Rhoan was not to happy that his sister was in an insane asylumn, but Sam had convinced him that she was safe there with Dr Parks. Sam was oriental, trained in the martial arts of the Ninja. He had been trained as an assassin but had become disilussioned. He had met up with Parks a few years back and had become good friends. One of but a few both had.

Sam stood watch as he handed Rhoan the phone. "Parks will get to your sister and giver her his. You can trust him." He had seen a couple men down the street that seemed out of place. They did not seem to belong to the neigborhood, yet tried to blend in. He reached into his long leather trench coat and unseaced a katana. "Don't be long, we might have to move fast."

Parks went to Riely's room and found her gone. He decided to check the garden and found her there. He approached her his phone in hand. "I think some one wants to talk to you." he held out the phone to her.

Riley snatched the phone from him, "Rhoan?" she asked, her voice loud from worry.

"Yeah, yeah it's me." he answered right away.

They continued speaking to each other for as long as they were allowed. Rhoan complained about the ninja that was supposed to be protecting him. He actually found it insulting, as he had the same occupation as his sister. They were like police officers, except they dealt with all nonhuman incidents. Licensed killers, the humans tended to call them. Trained for detective, police, and undercover work. He admitted though, it was nice to know that both of them were having help staying safe. He thought Riley was safer with him at the apartment, but as it stood, there wasn't anything they could do about it until Riley's case was cleared up.

"Brother, be careful. Oh, don't let Liander out of your sight, either!" she told him, "He's at the apartment with you right now, right?"

"No, he had a screening to attend."

"Well, right after his screening is done, make sure he goes straight home. He could be used against us if we're not careful." Riley said, speaking a little quieter, and walking around the garden to make sure nobody was listening in. She knew the doc was nearby, but he didn't worry her very much... for now, at least.

Parks watched Riely as she walked about talking to her brother. It was quite apparent that she was calming down some. Being able to talk to her brother and know that some one was there with him would help put her mind at ease. He gave her room to talk in private, it would be nice to to know what they were talking about but he was not about to do so. Privacy was something that he respected and at times needed for himself as well.

At the apartment Sam saw the men moving their way. "I hate to be the one to end your talk with your sister, but I do feel that we need to leave now." he nodded to the window and the two men approaching. He took the phone from Rhoan and said, "I am sorry to interupt but it is no longer safe here, please tell Nick that I will take him to my father's place. He will be more then safe there. Nick knows where it is." With that he closed the phone and ushered Rhoan out the back door. "We will return later for anything you might need." he placed a hand on Rhoan shoulder, "Come, my father will, I think, be quite intrested in meeting you."

Parks could tell that something had happened by the look on her face and he approached her. "Do not worry, Sam will take good care of your brother." He hoped now she would open up a bit and tell him what she was keeping to herself.

Riley tossed the phone back to Dr. Parks, and said, "Sammy's taking my brother to his father's house. What's so special about his father's house? Nick?" she asked, now very curious about what they were really doing. She walked toward him slowly, watching him carefully. With everything that's been happening to her lately, even before she got dragged into this place, it was very difficult for her to believe anything was safe.

Rhoan glared at Sam, "I'll kill you if you're the one who lead them here." he said, not being dishonest about that statement whatsoever. He grabbed his laser gun from the closet, and walked out the back door with it raised, ready to slice. "Why would he be interested in meeting me?" he asked, not giving away that he was a hybrid, just like his sister.

Nick chuckled at her question when she told him where Sam was taking her brother. "Old Mr Wang is a very special man. He is kind hearted and like his son is quite adept at protecting people when they need to be." He replaced his phone in his pocket. "You need to start trusting some one." he told her, "I know it is something that is very hard to do. It took me quite some time before I found those I could trust." he looked at her shaking his head. "You are not the only 'different' one here." again he gently took her by the arm and lead her to yet another section of the facility.

"Most of the patients here are troubled people, with variuos phobias and what normal people call insanities. But there are those that are not quite your normal person, like yourself." He took her down to an area of the facility that was darker then the rest. A man came forward, dressed in casual clothing. His skin was pale, making the dark black hair stand out more on his head. "This is Mr. Barkley, a long time resident here with sort of a work release pass, though he doesn't work. Hasn't had to for a couple hundred years. He came here because he felt he was being hunted. Indeed he had been and he had like you done some terrible things in his past, but that was because he had to in order to survive. I have helped him with his urge to drink human blood, directly from humans." Nick had a feeling that Riley already knew what Barkley was.

Barkley looked at Riley, sniffed the air and rubbed his jaw. "Now what have we here Dr Parks." He looked Riley up and down, "She is like me yet different." he sniffed the air again and shook his head, "I smell dog. No offence lady, just it seems a part of you and my kind really don't get along to well. Strange that you are part of both."

Nick smiled and thanked Barkley. "Mr Barkley is but one of several special patients here. Some have not yet learned to cope with their non human part of life. I try to help them with that." he then lead her back to the other part of the facility. "You might be wondering why I help such people as Mr. Barkley." he raised a hand up and it became almost like a claw. The fingers extended some as did the nails. They became like sharp talons. The skin of the hand became leathery, before it all reverted back to a normal hand. "I too am differnt." Once back at the garden, "Now perhaps you would like to tell me about yourself and what happened."

"The only person I will ever truly trust, is my brother." Riley said simply, knowing very well that Mr. Barkley was a vampire. Even though he had a similar situation, she never found it easy to trust a vampire. They changed their names to stay under the human radar every so often, played games with others' minds, and what was even more fun, was that they kept secrets. Every vampire kept many secrets. Word was, if they told everything about themselves to everyone, they'd be extinct by now.

Riley thought for a while about whether or not she was ready to share her experiences. "For starters, I was born a hybrid of both werewolf and vampire about 130 years ago. Rhoan is my twin brother. We were raised by our wolf pack until we hit maturity. Then, we were kicked out and threatened to stay away. My fear of heights hasn't lowered any. Rhoan's more vampire than he is wolf, and I'm more werewolf than vampire, so it equals out. We've had an unbelievable amount of scientists and madmen after us over the years." it was interesting that she was saying this much all at once. Never before had she shared this to one person. "Any specifics about my personal life, ask away." she said, not wanting to get into anymore details for the moment.

"However, I can say that my brother and I are the only surviving twins of such races, so, whoever found out that we were actually twins, decided that they needed to catch and research our DNA. We've been through undercover investigations, search and destroy raids, and the most recent... was a break and enter deal..." her voice faded out as the memories flooded back to her. "I was the only one on that." now she was speaking very quietly, her walking slowed. "I wasn't told that there would be anyone in the house, but the rules are, if anyone sees you, they die..." she stopped there, tears gathering behind her eyes.

Born hybirds and raised by a werewolf pack. This was interesting. Vampires could not sire children, nor could the female vampires give birth. Also given that the werewolfs and vampires had what seemed to be an unending fued of some kind, it would be unlikely that two such speicies would get to gether. To get to know more about her he would have to know something of their mother, the one that bore them. "Your mother was part of this pack that raised you correct? What did she do for a living? I know those of a pack have to work and maintain a human existance."

He had a feeling that Riley and her brother were not just an accident. To have scientists after them wanting to study their DNA meant only one thing to him. They were the product of an expeierment and their mother had been a subject of it. But then she mentioned going on investigations, search and destroy missions. That ment that her and her brother was involved in a group that he had run into before.

"Those you go on these missions for, do you know much about them? Are they always out to silence those that know anything about people like yourself?" If it was this group did more to infurate and cause haterad towards those different then normals by the normal humans. When tears welled up in her eyes he gently took her into his arms and storked her hair to try and comfort her.

She looked at him when a new question came up. "Our mother was a werewolf, our father being the vampire. As far as I can remember, all she did was stay at home to watch us. She always tried to make the family accept us for who we were, rather than what we were. I know everything there is to know about who I work for, and no, we only go after any non humans that are causing havok to the public. Basically, our job is to protect the races and make sure humans are not affected by the happenings of the nonhumans. Like, when a newborn vampire gathers up one hundred victims in one week, and their maker are nowhere to be found to control them, we're the ones who kill the damn vampire, and tell all the families that there's been a terrible accident." Riley said, only giving the outline of what went on. She wasn't sure if she really wanted to share everything now. The doctor seemed... too interested... he seemed to have recognized something, and that was rarely a good thing for her.

Her father a vampire and her mother a werewolf. She was quite certain of this. But a vampire became steril when he or she was turned. That and a vampire taking a werewolf for a mate was not somthing that he had ever heard of and he had lived a very long time. Well there was the one time, that a vampire and werewolf had fallen in love but she had been killed by her own kind and the vampires were nearly wiped out by the werewolf and his pack. But that had been a very long time ago and since then it the two species never seemed to get along.

Some how an experiment had been conducted, Riley and her brother had been born. From what she told him of the work her brother did, it might not be the same group that had been causing all sorts of trouble. He wanted to learn some more about this organization she worked for. Especially its leader. He would like to talk to that person.

"Your father was a vampire?" he asked. "Where is he? I would like to talk to him if it is possible." her father would know more about how Riley and her brother came to be. But he also needed to know more about the organization she worked for and why she killed those people. "You said that if any saw you, that you were to eliminate them. Why? Those that died were human. From what you have said, you protect the humans from non humans." Most humans had no idea that there were others out there, that were vastly different then they were. Her organization seemed to be one trying to keep it that way.

I cant believe you're serious Empty Re: I cant believe you're serious

Riley looked at him in a very serious tone. "I've never met my father. Neither did my brother, nor my pack. My mother was the one who raised us. She's the only one who met him, but it was only the one time. She never saw him after that. So, I have no way of finding out where he is." she answered, never having even thought of finding out who her father was.

In the first twenty-four hours after a human has been bitten by a vampire, their body is still fertile. They only become truly dead once the change has been completed. Or so, that's what Riley was raised to believe. From the stories that her mother told her and Rhoan, it was the night before the full moon, and her mother was out on a hunt. What kind of hunt, she never said, but the only creature she came across that night, was a vampire. She had not realised he wasn't completely turned yet, and a month later, she found out that she was pregnant. The wolf pack that she came from, the Jenson red wolf pack, and other werewolves in that time, had the need to mate during the seven days and nights that lead up to the full moon. All of them had chips inserted into their arms so that the population of werewolves could be controlled. When a couple wanted to have children, the chips would be removed. However, Riley's mother had never gone to get that chip. She knew how to control the lust. Very, very few knew how to control it, and on that night, she had lost control.

As for why she had to kill anyone that saw her... Well, the boss didn't exactly like it when the humans started new rumours about the werewolves. New rumours meant new movies, which also lead to humiliation and that much more public fights. The last mission she did, had to be done at three in the morning, in her wolf form. Her brother had been the one to disable the family's security system. "Let's just say I don't like people making rumours about me." she said, even though it was possible to just make the family believe they were dreaming. With the telepathic ability that she had, she was able to dig into any human's mind, and make them believe whatever she wanted them to. She could even control their actions if she wanted to, but she never went that far unless it involved saving her own life. So, she could have used her ability rather than killing them.

"That girl probably would not have remembered any of it by the time she remembered how to talk, though." she frowned as the image of the frightened two-year-old filled her mind. "I wanted to save her, but it was too late." she started to tear up again, and pressed her hands against her head, as if trying to pull that night out of her head so that she wouldn't remember anymore. "I wanted to save her, but it was too late!"

Parks shook his head. He had a feeling that her mother had told them a story to make it easy on them. If the man had been a vampire he probably would never know nor would they in actuality. He had a very strong feeling that thier father may have been a scientist working on some government project and did something to Riley's mother, perhaps with or with out her knowledge. Either way, there would be many out there that would wish to see how the two would be. The government was always looking for the perfect soldier. One that could go into battle, strong, agile, and if wounded, heal quickly and keep fighting.

But as to her other problem. The killing of the family. Again he had a bad feeling that the "Boss" as she called him, knew that the family would be home when the raid occured. A well organized organization as it sounded like, there would have been survalence of the place to see when no one would be around. "I can understand you not wanting people to know about you or others like you. Destroying evidence is one thing but the people is quite another. It matters not what people make us out to be in movies or rumors. Unless they can prove it then people will just think them nut cases and ignore them."

He guided her over to the bench and sat her down there. He could see that she was distraught over kill the little girl. She would not be able to answer more questions. "You are not the one that is responsible for what happened. Your so called boss is the one to blame. He knew they were there and what would happen." he hoped that he could help ease her anguish a bit and focus it on the real culprit of the mess.

"No!" she cried out, reaching for his throat with her bare hands to strangle him, and pushed, trying to pin him down. "Jack didn't know they were home. He knows I don't like killing others, so he would not put me in that situation. I've always dreamed of having kids, but I can never have any! He knows that!" her eyes seemed to brighten with a strange yellow tint in them. "He would never make me kill a child!" she yelled at him, feeling nothing but anger now. There was so much she had to explain, but it would never make full sense. "I love kids. I only did it because I had to. I had no choice!" she screamed, pressing harder onto his throat.
