Mary jane lifted an eyebrow, then did as she was told and took leave, slipping back into the house. She went through it, then out the back, which opened onto the stable yards.

We have a few unoccupied staff houses here, and they're much more isolated than this one. This is my aunt and uncle's house here."

Mayhem snorted at his master's request, and flicked his tail in defiance, before flicking both ears back and settling down and lazily lifting his back foot, almost as if he could understand.
