Resonance of Eternity (KDS)

Zephyr rolled off of the bed and made to grab his clothes, only to be pulled back for a final kiss. The blonde pulled away to pick up his undergarments, shirt, and pants. He could feel the eyes of the other man on his back as he bent down to pick the articles of material up. As he was dressing, the male on the bed asked, "You can't stay a little longer this time?" Zephyr turned his head to look at him with amusement. "Not unless you're offering a higher pay than the next person." And speaking of pay, Zephyr held his hand out for the rubies. "If you came to get me on a less busy day, then maybe I could consider sitting around here a little longer. I've got stuff to do, so I'd like to get paid and go." With a sigh, the man handed over the amount, letting the blonde teenager walk out of his house.

He was in Cranktown, living on the streets mostly. Sometimes when he got enough extra money he stayed at the inn for a few nights. He had considered Albona at one point because their inn was cheaper, but it was also a lot worse. Not to mention the streets were charred, and the people were worse off than in Cranktown. Floor 7 wasn't awful, and it sure beat floor 11. The floors got poorer and poorer as you continued to go down in the elevators. Besides, floor 7 was where he was originally from, and even if the people up top might pay a little more if he were to offer out his services, those up there wouldn't take them since they were 'above' what went on down on the lower areas. It was really quite expensive for people like him on the floors above, he wouldn't last very long if he brought everything he had saved up. He may not live honestly, but honest wasn't a survival quality down here. He stole, he sold his body, and he got in fights, at least once a day. Lately he had been considering joining the brothel for more money, but then he wouldn't be able to steal things to pawn off. He balanced those three jobs of his to get a few rubies every day.

As he was walking the dismal streets, he found trouble. Or maybe it was trouble that had found him. He was cornered by a group of hooded thugs. Sure, he could dodge a few bullets. He reached into his back pocket for the knife he always carried with him, finding it absent. He cursed as he realized it was probably in that man's house, somewhere on the floor or something. He had to make a run for it, which he didn't do often. He ran for a place he detested, but was a safe haven for him. He dashed for the Crank Seminary. The useless nun over there could keep them off for a while. Or at least the organization could. She was the only one who talked to him really, so she convinced the place to protect him sometimes. At least she wasn't totally useless.

Vashyron took the hand of the young lady he had been accompanying that night, giving it a small kiss knowing that ladies always loved that one. “See you later, ma’am." He said with a smile. She giggled and he turned to walk away letting out a sigh and shaking his head as he did. He looked around at the streets he now wondered, definitely not the ones of his own city. The whole place was really shabby and had an almost dreary feel to it. It wasn’t very often he ended up here, generally because no one down here could afford him, but sometimes girls from the lower levels would save up as much money as they could to get to see him, or any host. How could Vashyron argue with money? He didn’t care who or where as long as he was getting paid, besides, he had his scruples, he wouldn’t sleep with a girl who couldn’t afford to see him again, it was no good ruining people’s lives left right and centre.

Today had just been one of those rare nights where a girl had come up from a lower level, level 7 this day, and asked for him. Of course, being the gentlemen he was he escorted her back down...that and he was paid for how long he spent with the girls. She had been a cutie and he had probably just given her the best night of her life. Oh the things he did for other people. He shocked himself sometimes with how much of a great person he was. He laughed slightly shaking his head. He heard a commotion the sounds of people yelling before a young man ran quickly past him practically shoving him out of the way without even seeming to notice he was there. Vashyron turned and watched him run with an almost confused look on his face wondering both what the hell he was running from and why he hadn’t even had the decency to apologize. He shook his head and turned to continue on when he noticed a bunch of shady looking guys running after the other boy. Wonder what I get out of helping... he thought to himself before turning and starting to chase the others down. He took the handgun out from under his shirt in the holster he kept hidden when he was working. He never knew when he would need it.

They ran out of the city and he noticed that they were running towards the Crank Seminary. He sped up his speed as he noticed that the thugs seemed to be gaining on the young man. At the last minute he pulled his legs together and jumped pistol out as he shot at them, flipping over their heads, they didn’t even know what hit them till it was to later, perfectly landing two shots to each other heads as they keeled over. “I think I’m doing the world a favour.” He said with a laugh as they fell to the ground dead. He turned to the person they had been after. “Hey kid, are you alright?” he asked gun still in hand. He had no idea if this was normal around here or not, but he didn’t really care, disgusting creeps were disgusting creeps no matter where in the world you were. He had no idea if the other would stop and thank him and give him a reward or if he would continue to run away, in which case he would now have to continue chasing him. He had to admit for a guy he was pretty attractive, his body was slim and nicely curved and he seemed to be very fit at that. He was small and his face looked very smooth with a gentle curve to it, the exact opposite of his own very manly features. It was interesting, this kid altogether was pretty interesting it would seem.

Zephyr hadn't cared who was shoved when he made his escape. Some of the people in Cranktown knew him from the fights he wound up in in the middle of the street sometimes. Not that anyone ever lifted a finger to help him out when he was outnumbered. He was surprised when he saw someone trailing after them and wondered if this person was mad at him for the shove. He saw the men ganging up on him, he also saw that the other man had a gun. He stumbled when as he watched in disbelief the older man jump high and flipped, shooting them and silencing them. The young blonde stopped in his tracks and looked at them, then looked at the one who had saved him. Obviously he wasn't from around here or he wouldn't have helped him out.

Nonetheless, he was grateful. The way they had been catching up, he doubted he would have made it over to the Seminary and the fussy Leanne nun to make them go away. "What was that?" Zephyr asked, looking at his handsome hero, wondering where he was from. "And I'm not a kid," he insisted huffily, trying to work up nerve to thank the man. He always was bad at being polite. It was embarrassing to act normally with manners considering the stuff he did. He didn't have to be nice when he worked. He eyed the gun in the stranger's hand, then examined his clothing. He was from higher up, apparently. What was he doing down here? Did he have anything worth a lot on him?

"Why did you save me?" he asked stubbornly. People didn't just help others for nothing. "You've got to have some motive in this. Everyone does." Just like he didn't hand out sex like candy without money involved, people didn't do favors for free. Maybe thanking him wasn't necessary if this was the case. He might still be able to make it to the Seminary if he tried, but the man did have that interesting jumping thing to cover distances to keep in mind. Plus, the gun meant he couldn't mug him without tact.

Vashyron smiled despite the attitude he was being given. "What do you mean what was that, I got those guys good." he said looking down to the bleeding heaps he had left then back to the man who had gone on to announce that he 'wasn't a kid' Vashyron would beg to differ but he kept quiet about it letting him think what he wanted to, Vashyron didn't really care. He stepped towards the boy he had just saved one hand resting on his waist the other, still holding the gun, rested on his shoulder. His heels dragged on the ground as he walked around him kind of, looking him over carefully completely aware that he could turn on him at any moment, not that he couldn't deal with it. At least he didn't run away that would have been seriously annoying.

"Why? Well why not." he said with a shrug, "but if you've got anything to offer in return I wouldn't say no." he said with a small laugh shaking his head his blond ponytail brushing the base of his neck as he did so. "And maybe you could tell me why those creeps were after you, while your at it." he said motioning with his chin again to the corpses he had just created. He was just looking forward to his reward then he could get out of here, maybe go take a nap or get plastered and find some girls to take home, he wasn't completely sure what he was up for right now, all he knew was that he was in a very good mood right now.

Zephyr watched the confident man warily, eyes trained on him. "Then if you aren't asking for something I'm not giving you anything," he said, almost daring the other to demand something of him. "Do I look like I've got anything on me to hand over like some trade off?" To him, it seemed the man who had saved him was 'concerned.' Concerned to him was like pity, actually, it was pity, and he didn't like it. He turned away from the gaze, looking at the building not too far from here and sizing up the distance. Sometimes Leanne kept an eye out for him to intercept trouble before it met the Seminary. "Why were they after me? Well, who knows. It's Cranktown. Thugs live in the area, they jack what they want." Him included. "Maybe they wanted me, for all I know," he shrugged nonchalantly. "I deal with people like them all the time."

Vashyron's 'concern' was quick to disappear as this kid said he wasn't going to give him anything. "Nothing eh..." he said quietly more to himself his brows furrowing. He spun his gun on his finger looking at it, "Well then, I guess I should have known that, well kid...what's your name?" He asked looking to the young blond again continuing to spin the gun idly in one hand. "Mine's Vashyron." He didn't really expect the kid to care but he knew he would even have a chance of getting an answer out of him without telling him his own first. He was definitely going to keep tabs on this kid, if he wasn't going to give him anything now he would definitely be giving him something in the near future whether he wants to or not even though he generally like getting his payment up front he was pretty sure for this interesting kid he would be able to wait a little.

Scowling slightly at the use of 'kid' again, Zephyr couldn't help but watch the gun spin, mostly out of curiosity, and because it was kind of cool. He wondered how this man, Vashyron did that. What did he do in his free time to have to carry a gun around with him? Well, at least he was smart and had some sort of defense on him while he was down here. "Well then, Vashyron," he said, "my name is probably not even going to be remembered as I will probably never see you again. However, my clients call me Zephyr, so I guess you can too." Prostitutes on the occasion had fake names, and so, Zephyr let his clients believe his real name was a fake. He liked to hide in secrets, it felt kind of cool.

"Zephyr." He said testing the name for himself, he wondered what he meant by clients to but wasn't about to ask about it. "Well, Zephyr, it was nice saving you. And I accept your challenge, next time I see you don't worry I will still remember your name. And in the mean time if you want to see me again in the near future..." he sheathed his gun and reached into his pocket pulling out a pitch black business card with gold writing on it stating the name of the club he worked at as well as his name and the address of the place, "Here's my card." he said with a wink, "Though if you don't have the money to pay your savior I doubt you could afford a visit with me during work hours. Anyway, see you later, ki- er, Zephyr." he said turning around and walking away with a small twitch of a wave to the blond kid before he started his trek back home.

The younger male looked at the card, finding answers to a majority of his questions. A host, it seemed. That would explain the manners, the clothes, and maybe to an extent the gun. "Who said we need to meet during your hours?" he murmured to the back of the man walking away. Not that he would see him. The man, despite his word of remembering him and his name, would probably forget him. The people above tended to do that, like when they said they'd get you back the next time they were around, and never actually came back. They were snobbish and had their noses so high in the air they might drown when it rained. Zephyr turned around to head for the Seminary to where Leanne would give him food and potentially convince the people there to let him stay for a little. It had been about a week since he'd last visited, so they couldn't deny him with the excuse of 'he shows up too often' today.

Vashyron was back up at his house by the time the day was done deciding to get some sleep for himself. He lay down on his bed in the empty house and stared up at the ceiling for a while. He had gotten paid plenty today but there was just something that kept driving him nuts. Maybe it was the Zephyr, didn't see to many attractive young men like that being chased down...albeit he was a little bit pissed off that he hadn't gotten anything for saving the kids ass. He sighed heavily as he rolled over rustling out of his clothing and pulling the covers up over his head letting himself drift off. To his dismay his dreams were haunted by the young man as well and he had a relatively restless sleep.

He slept well into the day not waking up till noon about time he had his breakfast and lazed around the house watching television for a couple hours before he headed off to work at five. At work he got one of his usuals a young woman from Chandelier who would usual take him home with her and they'd have a wonderful night. But she seemed to notice that he was distracted this day. "Are you alright?" she asked and he was surprised. He turned to her and smiled reaching forward and pouring her another glass of wine. "Me? I'm fine." He said with a smile. She didn't seem very impressed. "You seem very distracted today." she said reaching forward and wrapping her arms around one of his and frowning at him. "Hey, trust me it's nothing, just...tell me about your day." He said wrapping his other arm around her shoulders and pulling her in close. She was very quick to giggle and give in.

After work he wound up at the bar down the street deciding he needed it. It was rare he didn't go home with that specific customer but for once he didn't care. He knew he wouldn't see Zephyr today, hell, he knew that he would never show up so what did he care. He laughed slightly before draining the glass he had had in front of him. He slammed it down on the counter as an order for another one which he quickly got. "Damn." he sighed. A person sat down next to him, a man he was pretty sure he had never seen before in his life. He leaned closer and laughed, his voice was the hoarse tone of a heavy smoker. "So you go see that prostitute in Cranktown the other day? I saw you down there." He said. Vashyron's eyebrows furrowed at the words a little bit confused. "Prostitute? You mean the blond kid?" So that's what Zephyr had meant by clients...Vashyron had to admit he wasn't very shocked. "Yeah, then you killed a couple of my guys." the other man said. Vashyron's eyes widened and he noted the movement by the other man's side and he saw the glint of a blade. "Shit." Vashyron hissed, quick to draw his own, a nice butterfly knife out of his pocket opening it and shoving it into the man's abdomen jerking it up and to the side. The other man fell down.

Vashyron made a break for it but not before the other man threw the knife he had had at him. Vashyron made a last second dodge before using the same move with his own knife sinking the blade deep into that man's throat. People were screaming but Vashyron kept running, suddenly starting to think that he had gotten himself into a lot more trouble then he wanted to be in. He didn't stop running until he was home slipping inside and sliding down to sit against the door. He clenched his hair in both hands, "Shit..." he hissed quietly.

Leanne greeted him as he walked up the steps of the Seminary, her habit somewhat askew on her head. She gave him a friendly smile, he returned a weary one. "Trouble, Zephyr?" she asked, reading him relatively well. Or maybe she was just used to him coming back because it was always trouble. He shrugged and walked in, sitting down in one of the pews. He stretched out, putting his feet up on the one in front of him and slouching down. Most of the people here would frown at him and snap at him to be more respectful. He himself was not a believer in any gods. It was maybe a little ironic that he had chosen this place to be his backup house. Leanne tutted a little, but asked him if he was staying. He gave her a small shrug, which she took for yes. She went to get him food and water. Sure, he'd had a client waiting, but it wasn't like that one was going to throw a fit for him not showing, and then never call for him again. They always called for him to come back. He was one of few prostitutes who would do anything they asked of him. If they wanted to pretend-rape him, as long as he got paid, he didn't care. He dealt with all of their kinks with little complaint. Money spoke, especially for him.

He was sleeping on one of the pews in the main room, Leanne had offered to stay here too in the night so he could have some company, but he declined her right away, trying not to sound ungrateful, however. Leanne was easy to manipulate. He just played sorry-puppy and she'd give him whatever. She was an easy tool, and despite being useless at many, many things, she was a set of hands that helped him out when he needed it. The bench wasn't comfortable, but it was nicer than the streets. At least it was warm too. Or, warmer, anyway. He thought about the man who had saved him today, wondered why he had been down here and if he would come back. Zephyr decided that maybe if he saw him down here again he might follow him back up, just for a little while. He supposed he did owe him something. The man was a host, sex couldn't be a foreign offer to him.

After breakfast from Leanne, Zephyr left the Seminary and headed back into Cranktown. He had seducing to do. He was very good at his job, too. He just had to roll his hips a little for show and they were a hot mess of begging. He used his looks to his advantage, and his body was in great condition. He was acquaintances with the bartender in the bar on floor 7 because the man let him sit around and lure men in. He may have also traded a favor with him once or twice a month. He could go there today if he really wanted,

The blonde teenager ended up prowling around the entrance to Cranktown, working on luring them from the elevator and into the inn close by. He got a few, and a lot of them turned him down after a few degrading words, but he settled for that few and turned to mugging the rest of the people who came down from the elevator. He jumped them when they got farther away from the entrance and searched their pockets. He was feeling lucky when he found a few hundred rubies in one pocket. He used that to buy a night in the inn when he was finished for the day. As he was settling down in the lumpy bed, he realized the only reason he had hung around the elevator today was to see if Vashyron would return to the floor and look for him. He scowled before rolling over and going to sleep.

Before he had fallen asleep that night Vashyron had decided that he was going to go look for Zephyr the next day before work. He was going to make sure that kid paid for everything. For a moment there today he had thought ht was going to die. He fell asleep after a while and again Zephyr was in his dream, but this time when he woke up he did so to find a stickiness in his groin and messy bed sheets. He growled slightly a bit unhappy by this turn of events. When was the last time he had had a wet dream about a guy, let alone a guy he didn't even really know and was the reason for...oh I don't know...I recent attempt on his life! This was just getting more and more aggravating.

He looked over at the clock which read 2pm. He still had a few hours before work, and he was working a later shift today. From 8 till 2. He got himself dressed, more comfortably, his gun strapped to his hip and a leather jacket instead of a nice dress shirt. He headed off towards the elevator wondering if he would even be able to find Zephyr when he got down there. He was pretty sure it would be difficult but he was up for the challenge. He was more worried about other creeps trying to kill him for killing their friends or co workers or whatever the fuck they were to one another, not that he really cared, he still thought he was doing to world a favor by killing off the ones he had.

He got down to Level 7 and wondered where he should start his search figuring he should just start heading for Cranktown if he didn't run into him on the way and din't see him in the streets he figured he would just go home, go to work and forget about him. He just wanted some sort of payment for all this trouble he was getting thrown into all of a sudden.

After a rough night of sleeping -Zephyr had woken up many times to find himself squeezing and palming the area between his legs in his sleep and then had to take care of the problem- he left the inn, wondering where he was going to hang around this time. Not by the elevator for at least the afternoon, that was for sure. The greeter to the elevator had been watching him to make sure he hadn't done anything funny. He'd show up when the night greeter was there though. He had changed his clothes to what was easy to remove. It drew in the males a little bit faster to know his clothes were tight and easy to strip him of.

Zephyr decided to stick around Cranktown today, seeing that the trouble with the thugs had cleared up a bit since the other day. He didn't see anyone shady in the area looking at him -everyone was shady in Cranktown, basically- so he stuck around the shops. The guild too, for the strong, stressed out mercenaries who wanted to relieve some tension in their body. They never said no to a scantly clad young male tempting them with his creamy pale skin. All he had to do was a bit of strutting around the place, then wait for a good target to seduce.

Vashyron was just walking along and had to do a double take as he saw a copious amount of skin being shown by someone. He sighed slightly, he honestly hadn't been expecting that. He didn't know whether to approach the kid or not. He didn't want to be forced out of money if that was the case, but he looked sort of...vulnerable like that and for some reason Vashyron couldn't stand that thought. He stepped forwards walking towards Zephyr. "How much does a round cost for the man who saved your ass?" He called as he got closer, approaching Zephyr from the back. Stepping up behind him he snaked an arm around his waist and jerked him closer to him. He frowned though despite the almost happy tone of voice he carried. "Good to see you again, Zephyr." he said his voice still quite cheery despite himself.

Zephyr jumped when he heard the familiar deep voice of the man who had saved him the other day. He felt himself being pulled closer from behind, so he hesitantly turned his head to meet the unhappy eyes of Vashyron. He couldn't lie if he said there was no effect on him by meeting his eyes directly, and being so close to the older man. He gave a sly smirk, the kind he gave to the men who were asking how much he charged for a quickie. "So you were true to your word, hm? That you'd remember me? Well, it's quite amazing I even remembered you, you know. I see a lot of different men in the day."

Vashyron tilted his head to the side at Zephyr's words, his ponytail swaying slightly with the small movement. "So I've heard. You know a buddy of those guys I got rid of tried to kill me in the middle of my afternoon drink yesterday." He said with a frown his voice finally starting to sound a little more serious, "So you owe me even more now, Zephyr." he said starting to walk down the street, his arm still tight around Zephyr's waist. "And unlike the other day, I actually plan on collecting today." he said, "Now how do you plan on paying off your dept." he said continuing to walk, he pulled Zephyr close knowing that the young man was walking on the side he carried his gun so the device would be digging into Zephyr's side as well.

Zephyr hated being in debt to people. He made a face at Vashyron's order to be repaid today, right now. Zephyr turned his head the other way, sniffing a little petulantly. "Well, obviously I'm poor enough to sleep in a church and take charity from a nun. Also poor enough to be a prossie. What do you think is the only way I can repay my debt?" He was a very good prostitute too, thank you very much. No one left displeased with his services. No one got any without paying, but he was pretty sure he wouldn't be paid in rubies by this many anyway. Seeing as this man was from a floor up, and in some ritzy host club, he probably would expect a huge amount of rubies, of which Zephyr would never acquire. "So, how about it? You can have a go at my body and we call it even?"

Vashyron shook his head slightly, he had figured this man would pay with his body. Now they just had to talk numbers. "Alright, that sounds like a deal, we'll talk hard numbers...after I try you out. Now how bout we go up to my place... I'd rather not go at it in some cheap little hotel down here." he said though he wasn't sure if Zephyr had noticed they had been walking towards the elevator and were actually almost there. It wasn't like the young man had much of a choice of where they did it anyway, it was all up to Vashyron now. He was silent the rest of the way though, just humming slightly and not once letting up his hard grip on Zephyr's waist, the presence of the gun strapped to his hip never disappearing either. He approached Ebel City and his home. Upon arrival he pressed Zephyr up against the door a hand on either side of his head. "Now then, where would you like to start. Against the wall, the couch, the bed. You name it." he said with a smirk.

Zephyr perked up at the idea of going to Vashyron's place for activity. The man probably wouldn't let him out of his sight long enough to steal anything if there was anything valuable there, but it was a nice thought to be in a decent house rather than the disgusting areas of Cranktown. He let Vashyron keep a tight hold on him so he couldn't run off, and guide him to his home. Knowing where it was, maybe he could come back later after scouting the inside out first. His first impression of the outside was to hope that the inside looked less shabby. Then upon entering, his hopes of stealing anything nice were crushed to little pieces. For working in some fancy club, he sure had a crummy house. Still, it was four times nicer than any home in the town he lived in. He gave a wry grin to the man who pressed him up against the wall. "Location is all up to you, client. Got any kinks?" he asked.

Vashyron grinned, "Well aren't you funny, I'm pretty sure I told you my name, and I expect you to use it, kid." he said before pulling Zephyr over and pushing him down onto the couch letting himself fall over top of him pressing his lips to Zephyr's once for a brief amount of time before he sat back and stared at Zephyr expectantly. He assumed Zephyr would do as he expected him to. He pulled off his jacket and threw it off to the side doing to same with his belt with his gun still attached to it. He pulled his hair out of its tie letting it fall about his shoulders. He had to admit he was quite looking forward to this little bought and, based on the numbers he had already come up with in his head, he was going to get a few more after this as well.

"I just might start using it when you stop calling me kid," Zephyr responded sarcastically, practically being dragged to the messy couch and thrown down on it. He was almost shocked at how badly the older man wanted him, but he responded accordingly. At least he wasn't ugly like a lot of his desperate, needy clients. Vashyron was far, far from ugly. As the older man started removing his clothes, Zephyr found his body to be gorgeous, beautifully sculpted, as if Gariliano had carved it. Zephyr kissed Vashyron forcefully, assuming this man didn't mind his lack of beating around the bush. Zephyr stripped off his shirt quickly, tossing it to the floor alongside the discarded jacket and belt.

Vashyron was almost shocked when he was kissed but didn't complain quick to kiss the other back applying his own pressure but only for a moment. He pulled his lips away laughing slightly, "Come on, think harder." he said tapping a finger to Zephyr's head. He had to admit Zephyr had a wonderful body, lithe and pale it looked surprisingly perfect on him. Vashyron pulled off his own shirt a broad chest and chiseled abs revealed to the air, the expanse of skin quite darker then Zephyr's. He stretched slightly, the muscles in his abdomen clenching and unclenching powerfully. He grinned at Zephyr and waited to see his next move curious as to what he would try next.

Making a face at the playful, almost childish tapping to his head, Zephyr shook his head to rid the finger off, even though it didn't linger. He was doing it again! Vashyron was treating him like a little boy! Zephyr's breath was taken away at the sight of the bare chested Vashyron. He never had a client so sexy. He had a feeling prostituting for the ugly men would never be the same now that he had glimpsed the body of a god. "You're a show off," he told him to cover up the amazement that might have crossed his face. His fingers couldn't help but explore the hard muscle, leaving fleeting touches on his skin as he moved from one area to the next. They didn't make men like this on the lower levels, that was for sure.

Vashyron noticed the look his body got from the young man and he smiled, that was one boost to his ego that most people would argue he didn't need. He himself begged to differ. "A show off? Well, gotta flaunt what ya' got." He said flexing his abs again. Vashyron himself thought it was cute how Zephyr seemed almost mesmerized by his body fingers tracing along muscle and skin. Vashyron leaned back his arms resting on the back of the couch as he watched Zephyr analyze his body. "Now come on, a bit lower." he said with a smirk hoping Zephyr would get more to the point now, he was pretty sure this didn't even count as foreplay, he was starting to doubt this kids prowess as a prostitute. He shifted himself slightly moving his hips slightly trying to get through to Zephyr.

"Hmph, giving me a minute to admire art is out of the question then," he huffed before he went lower, he hand slipping into Vashyron's pants and grabbed what was the beginning of a hard on for the older man. "You probably get pretty big when you're fully erect, I bet," Zephyr said, more or less to himself.
