Final Fantasy VII begins with Cloud joining AVALANCHE in a raid on one of eight Mako reactors that surround the city of Midgar. The Mako reactor is destroyed and the group makes their way back to their base. During their next mission at another reactor, AVALANCHE is trapped by President Shinra before they can escape. Although they defeat the Shinra's machine, the reactor's explosion sends Cloud flying from the upper levels of Midgar into the slums below. Falling through the roof of a derelict church in Sector 5, he lands on a flower bed unharmed, where he is formally introduced to Aeris. Cloud agrees to work for Aeris as her bodyguard, an agreement prompted by the arrival of operatives of the Shinra Company's Turks organization, who have been ordered to capture Aeris.

After Cloud defends Aeris from her would-be kidnappers, Aeris offers to show him the way back to Sector 7. Along the way, she reveals that her first boyfriend had been a 1st Class SOLDIER, as Cloud claims to have been. The two spot Tifa entering Wall Market, an area of Sector 6 infamous for criminal activity, to which they follow her. After infiltrating the mansion of crime boss Don Corneo, the three learn that Shinra has discovered the location of AVALANCHE's hideout and plans to collapse the upper level of Sector 7 onto the slums below. Despite AVALANCHE's efforts to prevent it, Shinra successfully destroys Sector 7, killing its population and three members of AVALANCHE. The Turks finally capture Aeris, who the player learns is the last living member of the "Cetra" race. The Cetra, it is explained, are closely attuned with the planet. Therefore, President Shinra believes that Aeris can lead him to a mythical land of fertility known as the "Promised Land", which he expects to be ripe with Mako energy that can be easily harvested.]

As the only remaining members of AVALANCHE, Tifa, Barret and Cloud infiltrate Shinra's headquarters to rescue Aeris. After freeing her and Red XIII, who joins the party, they escape when most of the personnel in the building — including President Shinra — are killed. Finding the body of the president skewered by a long sword, Cloud suspects a man called Sephiroth who has returned from his presumed death. These suspicions are confirmed by an executive spared during the massacre, who claims to have witnessed Sephiroth murder the president and state that he would never allow Shinra to claim the Promised Land. The party also learns that during Sephiroth's attack on Shinra, the headless body of a creature named "Jenova" disappeared from the building's research facility.

While Rufus Shinra, the president's son, assumes control of the Shinra Company, AVALANCHE pursues Sephiroth across the planet, fearing his intentions for the Promised Land may be more destructive than Shinra's. During this pursuit, the party is joined by Yuffie, Cait Sith, Vincent and Cid. As the journey progresses, each member of the group must come to terms with personal conflicts from their past, and the full scope of Sephiroth's plan is eventually revealed to the player: if the planet is significantly damaged, the Lifestream within will gather at the point of injury, attempting to heal the wound. Sephiroth explains that he intends to use a powerful spell known as "Meteor" to fatally injure the planet, inciting a reaction in the Lifestream to heal the wound before it can cause the planet's destruction. Entering the fissure created by the meteor's impact, Sephiroth would merge with all the energy of the planet, granting him god-like power over it. At an ancient temple erected by the Cetra, AVALANCHE attempts to undermine Sephiroth's plot by claiming the Black Materia needed to activate Meteor, but Sephiroth displays a mysterious power over Cloud, forcing him to relinquish it.

Sephiroth kills Aeris in a scene called "the most shocking moment in video games".
Fearing that Sephiroth may cast Meteor, and having gained a greater understanding of her heritage from scholars in Cosmo Canyon and the memories of her ancestors in the Cetra's temple, Aeris sets off to stop him on her own. Concerned for her safety, AVALANCHE follows her to the northern continent, where the player must enter an ancient Cetra city. After finding Aeris praying to the planet for aid, Sephiroth, unseen, begins affecting Cloud's behavior once again, and attempts to force him to kill her. Cloud resists Sephiroth's command, but Sephiroth himself appears and kills Aeris.[37][48] After laying her body to rest, the surviving characters resolve to defeat Sephiroth and avenge her.

Later, Sephiroth begins causing Cloud to doubt his memories and insists that he is not a real human, but rather a specimen created from Jenova's genetic material by Professor Hojo. Jenova, the player learns, was an interstellar creature who crashlanded on the planet approximately two thousand years earlier, arriving via travel on a meteor. This collision formed a large impact crater, grievously harming the planet. Jenova soon emerged from the crater, intending to infect all living organisms on the planet with a virus that would induce insanity and incite monstrous transformations. Among its victims were most of the Cetra, who were approached when Jenova used its mimic abilities to appear as their relatives. Attempting to defend itself, the planet created giant monsters called "WEAPONs", while the majority of humans fled rather than fight Jenova. However, a small group of Cetra survivors fought to defend the planet and managed to defeat Jenova, confining it within the fissure created by its landing. Afterward, the WEAPONs entered hibernation to await any future threat that could harm the planet. Eventually, the mummified remains of Jenova would be unearthed by Professor Gast, a researcher for the Shinra Company. Mistaking the creature for a Cetra, Gast was given authorization to conduct an experiment to artificially produce a Cetra by combining cells from Jenova with the fetus of an unborn child.

Five years before the present-day events seen by the player, Sephiroth learned that he was the product of this experiment while on a Shinra mission in Nibelheim, the hometown of Cloud and Tifa. However, unaware of all details involved, he concluded that he was a Cetra who had been produced solely from Jenova's genetic material. Enraged, he burned down the town, intending to kill all descendants of those he believed had abandoned his ancestors in the defense of the planet. According to Cloud, he confronted Sephiroth during this massacre, after which Sephiroth vanished under unknown circumstances and was presumed dead until his reappearance in the Shinra building. When AVALANCHE reaches the Northern Crater, Sephiroth tells Cloud that he was not in Nibelheim, showing him images of a 1st Class SOLDIER with dark hair who occupies Cloud's place in his memories. With Tifa unable to refute Sephiroth's claims, Cloud breaks down and allows him to cast Meteor, resulting in the WEAPONs' awakening. During the earthquake that follows, Cloud is separated from his companions and falls into the Lifestream.

As the meteor summoned by Sephiroth slowly approaches the planet, the Shinra Company focuses its efforts on protecting humanity from the WEAPONs, who have begun to perceive everything as a threat to the planet. Meanwhile, AVALANCHE searches for Cloud, eventually locating him on a tropical resort island where he washed up following the casting of Meteor; he is in a catatonic state. The WEAPONs' destructive activity quickly causes the island to split open, depositing Cloud and Tifa into the Lifestream below. There, she reconstructs Cloud's memories and learns the truth about his past. Although the player learns that he is a real human being and had actually been in Nibelheim during Sephiroth's attack, he never actually succeeded in joining SOLDIER and only managed to attain the rank of private in Shinra's military. The player learns that the previously-seen dark-haired SOLDIER is named "Zack", and was Aeris' first boyfriend. During Sephiroth's destruction of Nibelheim, Zack, Tifa and Cloud fought Sephiroth in Nibelheim's Mako reactor. Although Tifa and Zack were defeated, Cloud and Sephiroth severely wounded one another. After decapitating the body of Jenova, which had been stored in the Mako reactor, Sephiroth is thrown into the Lifestream by Cloud, taking the creature's head with him. Rather than dying, however, his body and consciousness were preserved in Mako inside Jenova's crater.

While Tifa was taken to safety in Midgar, Cloud and Zack were among the wounded survivors who were apprehended by Shinra as part an elaborate cover-up of Sephiroth's massacre. Professor Hojo subjected these survivors to an experiment, in which he performed the same enhancements given to members of SOLDIER. However, because Hojo conducted the experiment without any concern for the subjects' mental capacities to handle the procedure, all but Zack entered a comatose state. Nearly five years later, Zack broke free from his confinement and took Cloud with him. The player learns that the procedure used to enhance members of SOLDIER involved both Mako showers and the injection of cells from Jenova. The alien cells inhabiting Cloud's body allowed his mind to construct a false persona, built around Zack's behavior, fighting style, and description of Sephiroth's destruction in Nibelheim, but they also allowed Sephiroth to modulate his behavior. The cells' inherent ability to duplicate information led Cloud to believe that he had been the 1st Class SOLDIER in Nibelheim, as Zack was shot and killed outside Midgar by pursuing Shinra soldiers, shortly before the beginning of the game. Afterward, Tifa discovered Cloud, who was wearing Zack's spare uniform, and offered him a job with AVALANCHE.

With the truth revealed, Cloud awakens and rejoins AVALANCHE. The player learns that, in her final moments, Aeris was casting a spell known as "Holy", the only means of opposing Meteor. Though she succeeds, Sephiroth's focused will prevents the spell from taking effect and has been restraining it since. Deciding that humanity must be protected from the WEAPONs before Sephiroth can be approached, Shinra and AVALANCHE destroy the WEAPONs, but nearly all of Shinra's executives are killed in the process. Among the few survivors are Reeve Tuesti, revealed to be the repentant controller of Cait Sith, and Professor Hojo, who is revealed to be Sephiroth's father. He explains that he and his wife were assistants to Professor Gast, and offered up their unborn child as a test subject to research involving Jenova. When Hojo attempts to help Sephiroth to gain mastery over the Lifestream afterward, AVALANCHE is given no choice but to fight and kill him.

With each member of AVALANCHE at peace with his or her past and all other opponents defeated, the group travels through the mantle of the planet to its core, where they defeat Sephiroth and free Holy. However, due to Meteor's already close proximity to the planet's surface, Holy is unable to destroy it alone. Selected as Meteor's target, Midgar is almost completely destroyed by the storms that spawn from its presence. However, sent by Aeris' spirit, the Lifestream itself rises from the planet to aid Holy by pushing Meteor away, allowing Holy to destroy it. During the epilogue that follows, the ruins of Midgar are shown five hundred years later. While the landscape had once been desolate due to Shinra's operations, it is now a land of lush greenery.

Final Fantasy : Crisis Core
********************

Genesis and several other SOLDIER forces desert Shinra after an operation in Wutai. As SOLDIER further investigates the situation, Angeal also goes missing. Zack eventually tracks both Angeal and Genesis to their hometown of Banora. After learning that Genesis is in a nearby arms factory, Tseng and Zack infiltrate the factory, and find Genesis and Angeal inside. After a brief cut scene, Zack runs back to the edge of town, after fending off bombs set by Shinra's troops(Shinra wanted to destroy all evidence of their involvement in Banora), and finds Angeal standing next to his mother's lifeless body, which leads him to believe that Angeal has killed her. Genesis flies away while Zack helps to evacuate Angeal before the village is destroyed by Shinra bomb. Zack meets with Lazard and Sephiroth, during which Lazard promotes Zack to a 1st class SOLDIER while Genesis creates an army of "Genesis copies" to attack Shinra headquarters. Though the forces are defeated, Angeal goes missing again.Zack and Sephiroth track down Genesis' mutation to a secret lab deep in a Midgar mako reactor, and learn that Dr. Hollander, a genetic researcher, had used both Genesis and Angeal as part of Project G, an early attempt to create soldiers infused with Jenova Cells. Zack attempts to chase down Hollander but is stopped by Angeal, now with one white wing, intent on keeping Hollander alive. Angeal knocks Zack through the floor of the reactor into the slums of Midgar.

Zack recovers to find Aerith tending over him. Zack returns to SOLDIER headquarters and is ordered to investigate a mako excavation site near Modeoheim where Genesis has been spotted; en route, Zack meets Shinra infantry soldier Cloud Strife, and due to their similar background, quickly becomes friends with him. Zack encounters Genesis at the facility and beats him in battle, but instead of being captured, Genesis appears to commit suicide by throwing himself into the depths of the facility. Zack travels to the Modeoheim and finds both Angeal and Hollander. It turns out that Project G was named after Angeal's mother, Gillian, not Genesis. Angeal's mother was so ashamed of having been the root of Project G that she killed herself (Angeal did not kill her). Angeal struggles to hold back his mutation but is unable to do so, and Zack is forced to kill him. Before he dies, Angeal gives Zack his buster sword, stating that "My honor, my dreams, they are yours now." Hollander is captured by arriving Shinra forces, but later escapes during an attack by Genesis clones, while Zack, distraught over the death of his friend and mentor, goes back to the Sector 5 church, where he is comforted by Aerith. He leaves Aerith with an Angeal copy that seems to be protecting her.

Sometime later, after Zack has been promoted to 1st class SOLDIER, he travels with Sephiroth and Cloud to investigate a mako reactor near Nibelheim. Sephiroth discovers from Genesis that he himself was an experiment, implanted with cells of the extraterrestrial Jenova. In his anger, Sephiroth sets Nibelheim's town ablaze. Zack attempts to defeat Sephiroth but fails, but Cloud arrives and despite being impaled by Sephiroth's sword, which then mixes Jenova's blood with Cloud's, is able to throw Sephiroth into the Lifestream. Zack and Cloud fall unconscious. Zack awakes to find he and Cloud part of Dr. Hojo's experiments on Jenova cells and Mako exposure; while Zack is unaffected by the Jenova cells, thanks to the genetic modifications already present in him thanks to SOLDIER, Cloud has reacted badly to the introduction of Jenova cells into his body and is unable to move on his own. Zack helps Cloud to escape and they quickly become high priority targets for the Shinra forces. Zack encounters Cissnei during their escape, but she does not capture them, instead allowing them use of a Turk motorcycle. While fleeing, Genesis intercepts Zack and Cloud, and makes one of his clones eat a lock of Zack's hair. When this causes the mutation to go awry, Genesis flies away. Zack, realizing that Genesis is trying to stabilize his mutation, vows to defeat Genesis before being captured again.

Zack and Cloud travel to Gongaga, Zack's hometown, to try to hide but learn from Cissnei the Shinra forces are not far behind. After defeating Hollander, who himself has started to become a Genesis clone, Zack encounters Director Lazard, now inflicted as an Angeal clone. Lazard directs Zack to the remains of Banora, noting that Genesis always carries one of the dumapples which only grow near that village. At Banora, Lazard watches over Cloud as Zack descends into a cavern exposed to the Lifestream as the result of the Shinra destruction. Inside, he encounters Genesis, who reveals that Cloud has been infused with Sephiroth's cells and plans to use him to stabilize his mutation. Genesis attempts to defeat Zack by calling forth on the Lifestream to transform him into a giant beast, but Zack manages to destroy Genesis' power source. As the Lifestream leaves him, the mutation is also removed, leaving Genesis human but near death. Zack returns to the surface with Genesis, and finds that Shinra tried to attack Lazard and Cloud but Lazard was able to hold them back at the cost of his life. The Angeal copy that guarded Aerith had come to fight for Zack and is fatally wounded. As the Angeal copy dies, Zack discovers a note he had carried from Aerith to Zack, and learns that he has been gone from Midgar for more than four years, and Aerith has given up hope on his return. Zack takes Cloud and makes the return to Midgar immediately. After they leave Banora, Genesis is collected by two unknown soldiers (Nero the Sable and Weiss the Immaculate).

The Turks attempt to find Zack and Cloud before the Shinra forces do, knowing that Shinra will likely kill them if captured. Unfortunately, Shinra discovers the two first on the barren terrain outside Midgar. Leaving Cloud hidden away, Zack goes off to defend his honor as a SOLDIER against an enormous number of Shinra troops, and is ultimately fatally wounded. Cloud manages to crawl to Zack's body after Shinra has left, and Zack, in his dying breath, bequeaths the buster sword to Cloud as Angeal had done to him. Cloud begins to walk back to Midgar, while Zack's body is taken to the Lifestream by Angeal.

The epilogue recreates the opening scenes of Final Fantasy VII, with the promise of the story being continued in that game.

Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core talks about the happenings before the original game of Final Fantasy 7 which came out around a decade ago (thats a long long time ago)

And those who had played the original Final Fantasy 7 will no doubt be interested in the storyline of this game. Crisis Core tells out the story of Zack, who in the original game is already deceased (So you’ll already know somewhat how Crisis Core is going to end)

Being in an elite group of soldiers (called SOLDIER), Zack and his mentor Angeal looks into the mysterious disappearance of another comrade Genesis. Crisis Core will also showcase how Zack first met with Aerith in Midgar’s Slums (and how there was chemistry between them), how Zack and Cloud first met, how Sephiroth found out about his birth from the Ancient Jenova cells, and how Zack eventually fell in the hands of Midgar’s army.

~Zack: his dream being: To become a hero~

Storyline-wise… The game really cleared up a lot of uncertainties which I did have when I played the original FF7. One particular memorable scene which could be found in both games as well as the movie Advent Children is The Burning of Nibelhiem… I’m guessing that if there is an award or a ranking for the best fire burning scene ever… Nibelhiem scene will top the list…

It also amaze me to see how close Aerith and Zack were… And how their relationship developed… And how sad the story was when Zack suddenly disappeared, not being to see Aerith… And how heartbreaking it was to learned that Aerith keep on writing letters to Zack for the four years that Zack remained unconcious inside Nibelhiem manor… And how the normally cold stanced Tseng, kept all the 88 letters that Aerith wrote for Zack… And how the Turks (hired arms that does the unspeakable) attempted to locate Zack and Cloud before the army in an attempt to save them… Crisis Core shows you parts of the story which you never really know about… Like how in the ending of Advent Children we see Aerith and Zack together waving goodbye to Cloud… It dawned on me that when Aerith died in FF7, she was reunited with Zack… And I’d always thought that its pity that Aerith died so early in the original game… But after watching Advent Children and playing Crisis Core, I felt that she is happy being with Zack again… (Especially how she wanted to have more time with Zack in Crisis Core)

I’m also amazed at how the Buster Sword changed hands from Angeal’s father to Angeal and later to Zack and finally Cloud… How Zack leaves his hope and dreams to Cloud after he died… I’m also really disgusted at how the army managed to kill Zack off…

Another intriging point is what really happened to Genesis… We saw him getting hoisted by 2 men who mentioned that he will become one of their brothers… And we could see that one of those men seems to have white/grayish hair… So my speculation is that could Genesis be one of those grayish haired guys in Advent Children… or possibly related to one of those guys?? Another mystery left unsolved…

Music and BGM-wise… Certain familiar tunes have been reworked and sounded even nicer than the ones before… And I still got teary eyes as the ending credits rolled with the BGM of Aerith’s theme and Cloud’s theme (Yes, I’m a soft one)

And the ending of this game shows where the original Final Fantasy 7 takes off… With Aerith selling flowers in Midgar and Cloud jumping off the train

Another particular memorable scene was when Zack flew into the air (figure of speech) and just moments before the credits rolled… He asked… Hey… Do you think that I’m a hero now?? And yes Zack… I really think you are a real hero now~~

A great game which solves many unanswered in the main game and leave certain new ones… I believe that there’ll surely be another game about FF7 since the story has not ended yet…

Thank to Square-Enix for developing such a memorable game… Even after ten years the game is still going strong… You all are the greatest for coming out with the whole FF7 story… From Crisis Core till Dirge of Cerberus… The whole story is just amazing!!!

Anyone with a PSP out there…?? This is really a must play!!

way to ruin it all for everyone. >.< FF7 is my one and only love, so of course I know absolutely everything about it down to the script of the Movie and the Japan released cellphone game. But, is this really necessary? And, just for your info. There is a point in the plot of CC where Zack actually asks Cloud out on a date, during the Junon mission when Hollander escapes and you find Cloud in inner Junon, though Cloud says he couldn't then cuz motion sickness, y'know ^_^. and its been around for almost 13 years now. First released in 97 (L) got it the year it came out, i GREW UP with this game in a very literal sense.

*sigh* Danielle(Kaitou-Dark) told me to come on for once in my life just to reply to this and tell you how pissed off she is. I too grew up on Final Fantasy 7 and I'm a Vincent Valentine cosplayer and fanatic to the point where I got pissed off when I grew taller then 6 feet tall, in other words, Vincent's height. FF7 is by far the best in the series, no questions, but this is a bit much, you didn't have to go explaining the entire thing to everyone, what if someone wanted to play it, with this they already know it. I to know the lines to the movie by now and actually me and my friend Cloud did the scene where Cloud confronts Vincent about Kadaj's gang as a project in Drama, and Cloud did Kadaj's monologue from the Black Water scene which I know Danielle knows off by heart as well.

When it comes to couples in this game I personally don't like any of them. Tifa is to rude, and pushy and she never does say anything about possible feelings for Cloud they are only implied she could very much just be a friend. Because I know I would act the same way if my friend Cloud suddenly suffered from brain damage. Aerith I don't like either, she's...well I don't know how to express it in words, but she pisses even me off. I'm not going to agree with the Zack Cloud that Danielle is so obsessed with, but I would prefer that over Cloud or Zack being paired with Aerith.

I just thought, since Danielle went to the trouble of getting me online to post this that I would.

"Mother has given me a very special gift, the power to fight against a planet that torments humanity. She gave this gift to all her children, that's right, you and i are brethren. Chosen when we inherited mothers memetic legacy through the lifestream. But the planet doesn't approve of that at all. It's doing everything it can to HOLD US BACK! That's why! It's racking our bodies with pain, and filling our hearts with doubt! Now i shall heal you, and we will go to mother together and strike BACK at the planet......do as i do..." oh Kadaj is love ^^. Drehg oui, Jefffffff, love ya buddy. Also thank Ray for me. He left >.> Also say drehg oui to Kuroudo-san (L) XD and that I hope he's better now.

So ya...FF7= the one thing i know EVERYTHING about, to be able to compete with those who wish they COULD know as much as me, in other words those who think they know everything -_-. Jeff is cool though ^^, and his cosplay group, though I guess the group is actually Cloud's >.> heh oh well. Back too FF7. It wouldn't be the same without the voice acting of Quinton Flynn XD. And it still bugs me that they have Genesis with two voice actors, though I've never heard the one in DoC, Oliver Quinn will always be Genesis to me.

Post by Mikuo Sat Jan 23, 2010 4:51 pm

I didnt spoil this for anyone, this game has been out before you and I where born.

Another reason how I didnt spoil this for anyone, you and many others have the choice of reading the subject; it clearly states,"Final Fantasy VII & Final Fantasy : Crisis Core." This Entire section that I made my prior post is made for this.

And if you really are 17 years old, then how do you expect me to believe that when you where 10 years old you some how managed to buy a game in 1997 for the Sony PlayStation. That game back then was 85-100 dollars when it first came out.

A year later in 1998 it was released for personal computers. which would have made you 9-12 years old. I seriously doubt that your parents would have bought you anything that you wanted, especially if it costed so much. I didnt start playing any of the final fantasty series untill I was 13 years old. I was born in 1989. Not only that, the game was rated M for mature, you had to have ID to prove thatyour 18 or older to get it, or have a parent buy it for you.

Im a very intelligent person. Dont insult me by trying to say that Zack was gay and tried to ask Cloud out on a date, The game didnt have anything reffering to someone being gay or lesbian, keep your intrests to yourself. Cloud didnt have motion sickness, he was suffering from the thing that was consuming him. thats why when Zack had to fight the Shinra Army he hid Cloud. Cloud had passed out and remained unconscious for quite a long time.

I made this section only because I love the Final Fantasy series, there are those that share my intrest but they dont know what happened or how it led to that point. If you already knew then you should have kept your thoughts to yourself and moved on.

I'm getting a quote, luckily for me I have it as one of my save points because i love that level. And no Im not getting my characters confused, I know Yuffie has air sickness, but Cloud does too. At least until he's enhanced. OMG im honestly so pissed right now! I need my Lrnecdubran Cduha! If ur a real fan of FF u'll know what that means. and obviously ur not very smart, if im 17, in 1997 id be 5, idiot.

Final Fantasy VII & Final Fantasy : Crisis Core Empty I'm Putting My Opinion Because I Can!

Post by Kaitou_Dark_Sama Fri Feb 12, 2010 6:57 am

Okay, so today I was bored enough to look this post over again and actually read most of the first post...let me just say I'm very upset at this because I decided to go look at Wikipedia because I saw random numbers, similar to what Wiki does. I didn't check FFWIki yet but I DID notice that what you have written down here looks incredibly similar to what they have on Wikipedia, some parts are copy-pasted. Another thing that made me go look was the fact that when ur describing the original game you use the spelling Aeris, while in the Crisis Core and ur own opinions you use the correct spelling Aerith. And I also had a few comments.

1. Cloud doesn't have an official theme. A song people use to depict him is Cloud Smiles, which plays the only time he smiles at the end of AC, whic actually leads me to my next point.

2. I don't particularly agree on what you said about Aerith dieing, not the fact that she would be happy to reunite with Zack, though Zack's feelings towards I believe would be unknown, especially since the dead can't feel at all. And now that I actually think about it, the figments tat Cloud sees can't be ghosts, because no entity stays in the way they have the LifeStream set up, when a person dies they return to the LifeStream to be returned back in a new form, that may be different for Aerith, because she's a Cetra but not for Zack, and to explain AC when Cloud dies and hears Zack's voice, everyone experiences death differently and it often causes hallucination, like having your life flash before your eyes, its all because of the way the brain acts. Okay, so onto what I was going to say, I thought her death even that early in the game was completely necessary and I felt nothing when it happened, maybe the first time I saw it when i was about 6 years old I did, but not now, i realize if it didn't happen the game would be shit, it's the same with Zack's death. I've been writing up a test for the past year about Final Fantasy 7 and it's contents and one of the questions is what two deaths happen before the plot of the original game that basically make up the plot? (Of course Aerith isn't one of the answers.) So if she had lived or died in a more calm way or even towards the end I don't think I would like the game. And not much can make me cry so I'm glad one of the only things that can is my love FF7 as Zack dies, every once and a while I watch it just to recite it.

3. I will admit I thought the same thing as you on the topic of the people who came to pick up Genesis at the end of the game, but I couldn't connect Genesis to any of the silver haired men in AC. But I didn't drop it until I saw Mike Rock's (aka. Nero's voice actor) name in the credits for Crisis Core. It was rather stupid of me not to figure that out, but at that point I didn't know that 'G' (aka. Genesis) was in DoC, because I've never actually been able to see the cut scene with Genesis in it at the very end of the game (which also made me cry...). I would also love to see how/if the Tsviet Argento actually plays any role in the game, though she's only in the Japanese version of DoC and apparently doesn't actually do any sort of fighting through the game and simply observes. I should have looked more into the G Reports through the game but I didn't and now I've lost it so I can't.

4. On the music. I personally own the OST for the game and the movie and I've listened to the Crisis Core album. Also since beating DoC I've become a relatively big fan of GACKT who wrote Redemption the song that plays while inside Omega. I know how to play Aerith's theme, Debut and part of Rufus's Welcoming Ceremony on the piano, I can play Debut, Gold Saucer, Cloud Smiles, Aerith's theme, parts of OWA and the fighting theme on the Clarinet (I am currently working on a band arrangement for the fighting theme) and my BF know how to play the entire Piano Collection. (L) I don't like the music in Crisis Core because that was after Nobuo Uematsu's contract with Square ended and the new guy just took the same three melodies and changed the tempo and the instrument arrangement, which is something Nobuo would never do. And in AC, i only sort of like how they incorporated rock into the songs, though I will honestly say the RUINED One Winged Angel. That song is an orchestral piece, it doesn't need a random guitar solo AND they changed the lyrics so I can no longer sing along with it, which I do during the last battle in the original and whenever I hear it in Dissidia. All the melodies in CC are simple and annoying and made me like the game a little less then I would if Nobuo had made the music. The new guy destroyed the fight theme though.

Well I THINK that's all I have to say right now, and i'm just saying you can't put a thread like this up without people putting up their own opinion, it is simply an opinion and if YOU want to try and fight my opinion I will GLADLY fight back. Since I was 5 i've been watching and playing this game so I believe I DO know what the fuck I'm talking about. ALSO please READ this before you decide to reply. If I see you mix up MY words OMG, someone will die. Thank You ^_^
