How to train your. . . HUMAN!? -- KDS!!!

Hiccup smiled when Toothless did. He glanced at his shoulder when his friend put his hand there and then back up, eyes widening as a tongue met his cheek, and then Toothless nuzzled against his neck. He laughed nervously, petting the black hair again. It was one thing to be licked by a dragon, but by another person? It was strange. It was made less awkward by the fact that the black haired boy didn't know that it was strange. He ran his fingers through the soft hair soothingly, sighing slightly. He had no idea how to explain this to his father. He could always pretend nothing was wrong and not bring it to his father's attention that there was another person in the house, and that there was no dragon, and hope he didn't notice. Like that would work.

Toothless sighed and rested his head on Hiccup's shoulder liking the feeling of the teens fingers running through his hair like that. It was soothing. He closed his eyes and let out another sigh letting his mind drift off he wanted to go to sleep, he was suddenly very tired. That's exactly what he did he fell asleep leaning against Hiccup's shoulder, the sun outside beating against his back and heating up his black hair. He thought it all felt very nice.

Hiccup smiled slightly at Toothless's sighs, hoping nhe was comfortable, because it deffinitly couldn't be that comfortable to be forced to take on a different form, and getting used to the different feelings and senses and actions. He sat quietly, running his fingers through the black hair with one hand, the other supporting him as he leaned back. He could feel his best friend's body move with each breath, and noticed them slow, figuring he was asleep. It flt kinda nice, having Toothless lean on him like that, and he kept his fingers moving through his hair for awhile, becoming tired himself. He blinked a few times, keeping himself awake. The last thing he needed was to fall over while asleep and wake them both up. He sat up, waiting for Toothless to wake up so he could move, hoping his father didn't come in, or Astrid come looking for him or something.

In his sleep Toothless moved slightly until he slipped off Hiccup's shoulder and his head landed on Hiccup's lap. He didn't wake up or anything he just pulled himself into a tight rather cat like ball with his head resting on Hiccup's legs, sighing contentedly in his sleep. Even if someone was going to approach any time with his new now not so keen senses he wasn't going to know before hand to be able to warn Hiccup, he was just glad that he got to sleep after that terrible experience. In his dreams he was his usual self and he was soaring through the sky as per usual, this time being able to control his own tail and just taking Hiccup for a ride over the ocean.

Hiccup was a bit startled when Toothless's head slipped, and he fell onto his lap, but managed to sleep through it. He raised an eyebrow for a moment before letting it relax, shaking his head. Once he realized where the black-haired teen's head was though he blushed, unable to help it. Now that would be awkward to explain, but he just sighed, hoping that he would be lucky. He put one arm over Toothless's body, getting more comfortable. He was warm in the patch of sunlight, with Toothless curled up on him, not that he had been cold in the first place, but it was nice. He could see why dragons liked to sun themselves on the rooftops.

Toothless didn't wake up and he didn't want to he was very happy just sleeping like this. So happy and calm and completely out of it that he didn't even notice the very obvious loud footsteps making their way towards the front door and he didn't even twitch when the door burst open. He would probably only wake up if Hiccup decided to move or wake him up.

Hiccup wasn't really paying attention to much until he heard the loud footsteps, and by then it was too late. He jumped as the door slammed open, eyes wide as he looked at his dad, who in turn stared at him, a confused, angry, and sort of what-the-hell kind of look. "Uh, hey dad!" he said, grinning nervously and laughing. "Umm. . . I can explain?" he suggested. He didn't want to have to tell his dad what had happened. He would deffinitly try to charge into war with whatever it was that had turned Toothless into a human, which wouldn't be very smart, at all. "Well. . . umm. . . I found this kid. . . in the forest. . . and he was cold and didn't have any clothes. . . so I brought him here and he fell asleep on me" he made up, hoping the story would work. His father wasn't the brightest. He let Toothless sleep on, figuring he would wake up to them talking, or yelling, anyways.

Toothless fidgeted in his sleep when Hiccup jumped. Then there was a lot of talking and Toothless was awake enough to hear it, and it woke him up even more and soon his green eyes cracked open and he saw Hiccup's dad. He sat up and looked at him with a tired rather goofy smile on his face. He tilted his head to the side as he noticed he was getting a weird look from him. He looked down at himself again and sighed loudly before letting his head droop in a rather upset manner as though to say 'aw crap...i thought it was all just a dream. This sucks.'

Hiccup glanced down at Toothless for a second when he shifted, figuring that he was waking up. "You let some stranger into our home! He could be dangerous! Get him out! Now!" his dad yelled, looking outraged at him now, then glaring at Toothless. "I thought you had better sense than this Hiccup. . . he could be scouting for somebody to attack!" Hiccup glared back at his father, not wanting to have to just leave Toothless somewhere. "Dad! He was naked and freezing! He must have run away or something! You can't just dump him outside when he doesn't know where he's going!" He protested. One look from his dad told him he was wrong. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't leave his best friend outside when he wasn't used to the cold, or his new body. He had to come up with something, quickly.

Toothless looked from Hiccup's dad to Hiccup as they yelled knowing that he was in trouble. He tried to stand up but fell back down again on his stupid human legs. He landed on his hands a knees and touched his head to the ground in frustration letting out a low growl not knowing what to do. He guessed it would kinda look like he was begging, but he didn't know he wasn't a stupid human and he didn't want to be a human. He didn't bother moving not trusting himself to be able to.

Hiccup got to his feet slowly, glaring at his dad, deciding to take a new approach on the situation. "Alright dad, how about this. We don't kick him out, and I'll keep him in my room to keep an eye on him. I'll try to get answers out of him, and if he tries anything funny, I'll knock him out" he sugested, putting on a determined face. "Hmm, that't not such a bad idea, Hiccup. But if you need any help, call somebody, and just so you know, I'm still dissappointed in you" he growled, turning and leaving the room. Hiccup sighed heavily and turned to Toothless, who was on his hands and knees. "C'mon buddy, let's go to my room" he said, sighing again and holding out his hands.

Toothless looked up at Hiccup and pushed himself onto his knees before taking Hiccup's hands and taking his time getting to his feet. He was still growling under his breath. Hiccup's dad hated him now...why hadn't Hiccup just said it was Toothless, wouldn't that have been easier. And the old viking wouldn't have gotten as made at Hiccup and Toothless as he was. Toothless grabbed on tightly to Hiccup's arm again and let the teen lead the way to the bedroom.

Hiccup waited until Toothless had a good grip on his arm before limping off to his bedroom. He was starting to thihnk he should have told the truth, but he shook his head. He had a feeling it would be a bad idea to tell his dad right off. He would tell him tomorrow, once he thought of a better way to explain it. Plus, it could all be a bad dream, or he could be back to normal tomorrow and he wouldn't have to. He walked through the bedroom doorway carefully, making sure he didn't hit Toothless against the door frame, before he sat down on his bed. "I think I screwed up, buddy" he said quietly, still thinking about it.

Toothless let hiccup guide him up the stairs and into the bedroom and he sat down next to him and just looked at him. At the comment of Hiccup screwing up Toothless blinked a couple times before nodding in agreement and smiling. He wondered that if he was going to be human for much longer if he would learn to talk like Hiccup could. He guessed he could probably but it would probably take him a while. For now he would settle with body language.

Hiccup couldn't help but laugh slightly when Toothless smiled and nodded. "Well I'll fix this tomorrow. And we'll gte you fixed up soon too, don't worry Toothless" he said, hoing he wasn't lying to his friend. He ran his fingers through the soft black hair again, idly thinking about how weird it was to be petting a human. Especially one taller than him. Well he would get used to it if Toothless was human for much longer. He had to think of a way to break this to his father without getting an overreaction, and having his dad launch into plans for war against god knows what.

Toothless smiled knowing that Hiccup wouldn't lie to him. He threw his arms around Hiccup's neck and started licking his cheek to try and thank him for being such a great friend. He was pretty sure he would be able to stand being a human for a while longer if Hiccup was with him. The clothes he had on were rather uncomfortable and he could feel where they brushed his sensitive human skin, he wouldn't feel it nearly as much in his old body. He didn't know how humans could wear clothes like this all the time though, they seemed so annoying.

Hiccup was slightly surprised when Toothless threw his arms around him and started licking him. He figured that he was trying to thank him, so he smiled slightly, unable to help it as his face heated up. He hugged Toothless back, noticing how much more comfortable it was to hug a human than a dragon. He was so much. . . softer. But he knew Toothless would want to be back to normal, so he was more than happy to be able to help with that.
