Hired for Death (SP11) - Page 2 Empty Re: Hired for Death (SP11)

He was really wishing he had a set of his own directions for this mission. He'd leave Tsuneo behind in the dust if he felt like it. This felt like it was taking longer than it could really be going because of his partner, but then, maybe this was the usual pace he set for himself anyway. It was just a psychological thing, he supposed. He didn't want to have to deal with the burden partners created, because if one was captured and both needed to be out alive, then they now had a large weakness to hold against both of them. That was only one of the major flaws with partners. Kuro couldn't stand them because they lacked one thing or another. He would admit a thousand times he was flawed too, but then the partners always came with the most obvious, completely fixable and avoidable flaws. He didn't know Tsuneo's flaws yet, but sooner or later those would be visible.

Tsuneo had to glance over his shoulder every once and a while just to make sure Kuro was still there because of the lack of sounds he made. He looked slightly annoyed, which only made Tsuneo happier, "Hey, am I going to slowly for you or something?" he asked with a smirk, "Or are you upset with the fact that there's something covering my ass, I know everyone loves it." He said looking back in front of him, unable to contain it, he hadn't said anything even relatively suggestive yet, which was something he was well known for, but he wouldn't be surprised if he was just ignored by this guy. Again he didn't know if it was a bad thing or a good thing. Though he knew he was going to get very bored very quickly and he'd only be able to find things to really occupy his head when they got to a city.

He said nothing to retaliate or do anything to provoke more suggestive or mocking sentences from Tsuneo. It wasn't part of the job to notice anything about the partner. Chances were he'd never see his partners again anyway, and besides, taking an interest in partners were more of a setback. It could be more hazardous to him in the future too. One night stands weren't his kind of thing. He hadn't bedded anyone before, and didn't intend to unless they were planning on becoming a lifetime partner. True he was into males only, and maybe Tsuneo was that kind of guy, but he doubted he could stand a long relationship. Half-elves lived just a little bit longer than humans after all. "Do you swing that way?" he asked, curious enough to check.

Tsuneo smirked, "I swing both ways." he said waving his finger through the air. "And since you asked like that, I'm gunna go ahead and guess that you 'swing that way' then. If you ever feel like venting any sexual frustration, I'm your guy." He said with a small jabbing himself in the chest with his thumb and smiling. Things would get interesting if something like that did happen though, but this guy didn't really seem like the kind of guy to go for something like that but Tsuneo never knew, he could barely tell what this guy was like just by the way he acted, mainly because he acted like a brick wall, or at least he was as fun to talk to as one. Maybe this would shed some light on who this guy really was.

Should he have seen this coming? Probably. He should be trying to predict more of Tsuneo's personality to figure out what to maybe avoid. "Hmph," he humped lightly, ignoring the awkward offer. Tsuneo could be serious, but he didn't want to find out first hand. "What if I did swing that way?" he asked, not sure which way he was letting the conversation lead. Perhaps he was letting it go on just because he hadn't have partners who went this way before.

At the question Tsuneo grinned, "Well nothing really I guess, it's just a preference. It's not really going to get in the way of our work is it..." he paused and thought about what he said for a moment, "Unless your a flaming homo who will break down crying if you break a nail or tear your clothes or have to cut your hair." he said with a shrug, "But I'm sure you're not so we don't have to worry about anything. Right?" he ended in a question still smiling at Kuro, and this time managing to not walk into anything while he looked over his shoulder.

"Hnn....what do you think?" Kuro asked, raising an eyebrow slightly. "You don't appear to be either, so I haven't anything to worry about, yes?" He wasn't openly gay, nor was he all that feminine, so most stuff didn't bother him. Except if a girl was hitting on him and it was getting disturbing, that's when he'd get up and walk off. Maybe that gave it away to some people sometimes, just the fact that he rejected every female's advances without hesitation.

"Absolutely nothing to worry about...except...if I get drunk, you're as good as raped." Tsuneo said in warning letting out a small rather insane sounding laugh knowing that with his inability to hole alcohol and his pervertedness when he did, he probably would try to fuck Kuro, even if neither of them really wanted it. He was a perverted drunk, what could he say. He laughed a little more as he finally looked forward and started walking a little faster with a bit of a spring in his step.

"That's....disturbing," Kuro replied, adjusting his speed when Tsuneo walked faster. What was disturbing was the crazy laugh that erupted from Tsuneo's mouth, and the fact that he would more than likely try to have his way with Kuro whether he liked it or not. "Alcohol and you in that condition would set us back. I doubt that's a good idea to get any while we're in the beginning of this." Not that he wanted this any later, but he wasn't in the right to deny Tsuneo of any desired alcohol later on.

Tsuneo laughed at the disgusted reaction, "Yeah I know. We can save it until we're done this mission and we get paid. As a little celebration to a job well done." He said stretching and laughing again. He was silent for a while before he decided to ask, "So what sorta weapons do you use." Having been to dense to have noticed any earlier he decided asking and hearing would be easier then observing. They had to have some sort of attack plan anyway.

Kuro found it was slightly a relief to hear Tsuneo declaring the drinking would be for the end. A setback such as that was less than dignified for him. "I've been taught to rotate with weapons. Anything works, though long range bows have become a favorite." Swords, knives, anything, they worked for him. His master had forced him to work with everything and at least know more than just the basics with each weapon. His specialty was the bow and arrow, but he had a sword at the hip in case close combat was forced, and a knife as a backup. "You do what, now?"

Tsuneo nodded, so he knew lots of stuff, great. Tsuneo didn't want to be shown up. "Okay, so we both favor long rang weapons then." He reached into his coat and pulled out his twin daggers. "These are my precious babies." He said kissing each of them in turn. "I also using throwing knives, just as deadly, not as fast, but a lot quieter. And I've got my hand held scythes for close combat." He said putting the guns back on his belt and smirking. "So we're going to attack from a distance and only attack at close range is necessary then I presume." he said, figuring that was probably what would best suit them with the weapons they had available.

"Sounds fine," Kuro responded, trying to work out what flaws or kinks they'd have when it would come to combat. Depending on the situation they'd fall in, as long as neither of them were completely ignorant to every other enemy around them, they could stand a chance without getting to injured. Maybe if one went close combat and the other covered anything else and covered their close-combatants back, it could work too. Too many situations and other unexpected things could happen that would determine the outcome.

"I hope it is." Tsuneo said in a low rather quiet voice as he scratched the back of his head. He paused in his talking for a while and just kept walking forward not even talking to himself. Then he sighed and said rather loudly and childlike "It's to hot..." he wanted to take off his jacket but he would look pretty weird with the assortment of weapons strapped to his person. He undid his jacked a bit and using his shirt aired out his chest a little splashing his face with air in the process letting out an exaggerated sigh as well.

Just when he thought maybe Tsuneo had learned how to not speak for a moment, he spoke again. Rather he whined like a petulant child, but all the same, he had gone back to opening his mouth and letting words flow out freely. The man removed his jacket a bit and even went so far as to sighing loudly and dramatically to exaggerate his relief and or boredom. Kuro had learned to ignore the weather, be it extreme heat or cold, he was taught to hold his tongue and pretend other wise. All he did was adjust the cloak he wore to 'cool off.'

Tsuneo looked over his shoulder at Kuro and growled slightly at the lack of a response. He took off his jacket completely and draped it over one shoulder. His pistols held in sheaths under his armpits and a small scythe on one hip, a plastic container was on the back of his belt and it held an assortment of small daggers that he used for throwing, "There now you get a better view of my ass...especially cuz these pants fit me so perfectly." He said glancing down at his skin tight clothes and laughing lightly.

Kuro didn't care about Tsuneo's backside much, but averted his gaze all together any ways. Better not to encourage more from him, he thought. If he did look, well, he did have his restraint if he found it all that, but even so, if he let on to Tsuneo if he was interested, there'd be no see able end to the harassment or taunting in the future. "If you say so," he answered, looking past him and to the things up ahead. If he gave off the appearance that he didn't care, maybe Tsuneo would stop.

"Yeah I know so." he said shaking his hips slightly as he walked until the scythe hitting his thigh started to get annoying and he walked normally again. He could tell Kuro was avoiding looking at him and didn't know if it was a good think or not. None the less it was pretty funny and he almost laughed but settled with just smiling in a rather evil way. He started humming as he continued to walk finding it easier to walk with any sort of music. And if he annoyed Kuro even more that was just a bonus.

How long was this mission going to last? Kuro would rather not spend as much time as possible around Tsuneo. He was trained to not show much on the outside, but on the inside he was close to tearing his hair out. Tsuneo, the guy who tried to be provocative and annoying at once. What did that make him? An obnoxious seducer. "So has the disease affected any other parts of you?" he asked out of the blue, a nerve snapping on the inside.

Tsuneo stopped walking at the question and his brows furrowed together. "What the hell do you mean by that?" He asked his voice relatively serious as he twirled on his heel and and looked down at him. He frowned and put his hands on his hips managing to keep his jacket from falling off of his shoulder. He knew he meant something bad by it but he wasn't an hundred percent sure what he meant by it.

Kuro didn't respond for a moment, just to see if that could get on Tsueno's nerves. An eye for an eye? Even though the degree of damage wasn't as much... "The disease of being unable to stay entirely silent. You seem to be diagnosed with a pretty serious case." He wasn't exactly trying to be funny. Tsuneo's insistent, unneeded babbling was not only annoying the heck out of him and maybe anything near by that could hear, but very possibly could draw out enemies and they wouldn't hear them because he was talking. Of course....that last situation was thought of after he'd said it.

Tsuneo smirked, "No actually you're a bit wrong. Wrong disease. I'm actually clinically insane." He said with a rather insane laugh, he no longer felt offended by what Kuro had said as he turned back around and started walking again laughing as he walked lifting his feet high tempted to do some stupid pointless acrobatics just for the heck of it but with the weapons all over his body he decided against it. He did wonder how Kuro would react to that bit of information though, it was bound to be interesting.

"Yes, of course, that was my second guess," Kuro said, now realizing why he was as he was. It wasn't extremely obvious at first that he was clinically insane, but other than the laugh and maybe talking to himself, it was still not that obvious. For all people knew he was maybe ADD and ADHD. Would Tsuneo still get on his nerves? Absolutely. Just because of some disease he wasn't just going to tell himself over and over 'He can't help it' or something else stupid. Kuro didn't forgive easily, even for those who couldn't help something. It had been one thing he never learned how to do, which was to lower his pride and forgive people for what they were.

"Yeah well...I'm probably the most sane insane person you will ever meet." He said with a smile and a laugh, "So uh...I guess you can consider yourself kind of lucky in a sense." He guessed it did depend on what he thought of the term lucky. He was sure this was far from what Kuro would think of as lucky. Tsuneo's definition of the word lucky was a lot dirtier then a dictionary definition of the term but that was just in Tsuneo's personality. He was going to guess it was going to be at least another fifteen minutes before they ended up getting to their first stop.

"Define 'lucky'..." Kuro rhetorically said, finding the situation the exact opposite of luck for him. He never did have luck now that he thought about it.... First having his mother reject him and his father abandon him to a trainer for the rest of his life, then that trainer dying off on him while protecting him. And not only was he rejected by more or less half of society, but he had to wind up with this insane weirdo for one of the few decent-paying missions he'd received in the longest time. Did he ever have a chance to get lucky? At all? Lucky would be them getting through this quest quickly and efficiently so he could get paid and get out.
