Background: Seven years ago, James was an astronaut for NASA. Randell was alone; it was only James and no one else. Then one day he went on a space expedition to research effects of sun spots on humans. However during this average flight across space, the flight blew up. The engine exploded and half of the left wing blew right off. James was literally thrown from his seat into a metal board. Then he made a long crawl with a broken back to the safety room. In his last moments, James spent his time flipping off a wall and addressing beings who were reading this part of his life on a role playing board from another dimension. He lied there bleeding out and scared in his last minutes. Not only was he scared, but he finally felt alone. James had no family, no friends, and no one really thought of his life as significant. The lonely astronaut was going to die in the most lonely place, in the most lonely room. Then the entire shuttle exploded. His body was in space and shredded from the explosion. No fire, no smoke, no audible sound just death. However some grief is so great even death may keep its distance... Back on Earth, they had a funeral for him. They buried a coffin with nothing but a picture inside it. Only three of his fellow co-workers came out of pity and duty. The priest said a few words and they buried James R. Randell. Weeks later, space activity was captured on the satellites. The transmission to earth, stated a large mass was heading towards earth and it was quite heavy. NASA pinpointed its drop point to the ocean. They allowed it to drop and as expected it did little damage to anything. However when a team went to figure out what it was, it was night time. The team flipped on the night vision on a crater that was three miles deep and five miles wide. What they recovered was a large crystallized substance that was the size of a large male. The next morning there was an error in the containment and the substance was exposed to sunlight. A large explosion erupted from the large crystal and a man awoke from it. The sun seemed to give him incredible cosmic powers as his energy was continuously growing. Eventually he ripped the containment door off its hinges. The being in confusion threw a large titanium door to the side and ran away. Nothing seemed to stop it as it rushed its way through the lab. It had no memories and all it seemed to get is that if floated around in space for weeks. It was scared and the only thing that calmed him down was seeing a grave outside of the NASA space laboratory. It was only marked with the name James R. Randell. Eventually the creature calmed down and spoke, "I...am James...."

Special Abilities:
Energy Sourcing - Ability to draw power from large or small but abundant sources of energy, such as turning kinetic energy into physical blasts or converting solar energy into other forms. Sometimes based on proximity to source, sometimes stored for future use. James draws in energy from the cosmos. When hurt to a mortal degree he can heal himself by absorbing energy. The energy comes from being in space, absorbing starlight, coming in contact with an actual meteorite, ect. Basically anything space related. When trying to use up large amounts of energy, he needs to absorb energy from something equally large or a large group that equals such. Even then it takes a while. When using his powers, James has to work with energy sources of the universe. So if he wants to crank off high powered energy usage, he needs to have a strong astral body to do such. Planets excluded.

Anaerobic Respiration - Produces usable energy, in the form of adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, without the involvement of oxygen; it is respiration without oxygen.This means he can remain in the vacuum of space for as long as he wishes.

Radioactivity Manipulation - Ability to generate, manipulate, or have immunity to toxic radiation. In The Meteorite's case it's immunity. Gained from the radioactivity built up during his time in space.

Heat/Flame Invulnerability - Ability to be immune to heat/flame damage. Gained from the sun spot that made contact with him.

Flight - Ability to lift off the ground, to ride air currents or to fly self-propelled through the air. James's method is energy propulsion through the cosmic energy he controls. This allows him to fly at incredible speeds that can be up to 50,000 mph during flight. This of course being he has to work up to it.

Energy Control - The main ability that James exhibits from the cosmic event. These powers are still under development as his abilities haven't truly come to full realization; he could develop new abilities later in life. James has an energy blast ability that allows him to expel cosmic energy from his body. Energy constructs are the ability to create complex shapes or even functional machine out of solid energy. Force field generation is the ability to project powerful fields of manipulated energy. James has all of these powers and is still figuring what else he can do after the suns spot made contact with him.

Weaknesses - During his stay in the NASA lab, they examined the crystal like substance that encased him. It appears the substance has the power to drain his power when not in direct contact with cosmic energy. The substance is currently under study with scientists. During new moons and solar eclipses he is weakened considerably. Vice versa during full moons and lunar eclipses. When out of reach of cosmic energy he generates his own weakness around him. James will be immobile and can't communicate normally until contact with cosmic energy again.

Personality:
James is a very strong willed man, but with his quirks. Violently reacting to anything he feels strongly about, he can be very dangerous at times. Take example when his girlfriend died, he drained a twenty-three city blocks of power. Emotionally upset, but not disturbed, he is a sensitive man. He enjoys a nice flower and a good meal. However when he is betrayed by his friends, something ill is spoken of them, or a sentimentally valuable item is stolen from him, he will rage. James cares about the people yet he also has to think of himself when it comes down to it. This leads him down the path of neutralism instead of heroism. Perhaps one of his greatest weaknesses is a need for self-preservation. This conflicts with his sense of doing the right thing. Secondly he feels all the stress of trying to do the right thing, and either failing or going overboard. Sometimes he is so overloaded that he just doesn't know what to do and run. The city he lives in looks to him for help, yet shuns him when he fails to do such. With his great power he is looked to by many a good man, but to others a maniac. This leads to him keeping track of an inner monologue. He loves spaghetti and very spicy foods. On the flip side he hates dry foods like beef jerky. He is adamant in his conviction yet weak in the fact his drive has gotten lower. James is the left over lasagna of warriors. Icy and crusty on the outside yet mushy and lukewarm on the inside. He is also incredibly more destructive when angry and more precise when calm. The destructive side will end enemies quickly. If not he will have to recharge quickly. The precise side will aim for head shots with the lightning bolt perhaps. However it's not as effective for multiple person combat. He can be destructive or precise never both. The balance he could reach in between could be deadly however.
