Resonance of Eternity (KDS)

"Prove?" Vashyron repeated his brows furrowing together slightly at the word. He laughed, it was a deep cruel life, emanating from the back of his throat, but a laugh none the less. "I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm just having fun." He said, he had actually been trying to figure out why he was torturing this little kid so much and couldn't think of any possible reason for it. He would let Zephyr think whatever he wanted to think about it...the thought of actually scaring him off completely hadn't even crossed his mind until now. His throat clenched a little but he said nothing, just continued to grin at the boy, feeling horrible but unable to do anything about it. He wondered, as well, if Zephyr knew this wasn't paying for anything, a round didn't count unless Vashyron came.

The laugh was one of merciless, unpleasant entertainment, and Zephyr was the show. "Then have your fun," Zephyr told him, looking up at the darkened eyes of the man who had saved him. "I don't know what I did wrong that you didn't already know I was doing." He wished he knew how to make this dark Vashyron turn back into the amused playboy that had struck a seemingly harmless deal with him to repay a debt. Now he was being toyed with, the price going down, and he was being threatened. He was being verbally harassed and a bit physically too. More or less, nothing a prostitute wasn't used to, but Vashyron wasn't a one night, one time deal. He was a face that would keep reappearing, maybe even after the debt was repaid. If it ever got there at this point.

Vashyron tensed at the words, finding himself frozen by them. He sighed heavily, hissing curses under his breath. He fell to his knee beside the boy, grabbing the handle of the weapon he yanked it out of the boy with a slight flourish. He held it in one hand and looked down at him, his face still hard as stone but he was sure his eyes had fell softer. It just made this so much worse when Zephyr himself had absolutely no idea what he was doing wrong. He leaned back against the couch his head in his hands, his knees curled up to his bare chest, gun still in one hand, "Get out." was all he said, his voice low and quiet but loud enough to ring out. "I won't come get you tomorrow...but I'll be there at noon the day after." he explained in the same quiet voice hoping Zephyr would do as he was told, and hoping he would be in a better mood the next time they met too.

Zephyr had squeezed his eyes shut tightly when he felt the gun leave his body, almost sure that Vashyron was going to put something bigger in. When he didn't and told him to get out, he froze. He was surprised, but it wasn't an unwanted surprise. He picked himself up shakily, pulling his underwear and pants up, staggering out the door and shutting it quietly but quickly. He was thoroughly shaken, and utterly confused. One minute Vashyron was threatening him and calling him things, the next he was telling him to leave. Zephyr ran back to the elevator for floor 7. He was fearful of their next meeting, wondering if Vashyron would be like this again or not.

Vashyron listened to the hurried footfall as Zephyr stormed out of the house, the door closing behind him. He did not leave his spot, his gun clattered to the ground so he could better run his hands through his hair. He let out a heavy sigh. "Fuck..." he said quietly lifting his head and looking at the door. He stood up walking towards the bedroom, punching the wall, rattling everything that hung on it. He felt horrible and knew he would have to apologize but he was still rather worried that Zephyr wouldn't show up for their next meeting and that had been the last time he had seen the young blond, not that he could go find him whenever he wanted, he just wanted their next meeting to be of Zephyr's own will. He went up to his room curling up on the bed his eyes shut tightly but he let himself fall asleep none the less, already knowing that nightmares would be sneaking up on him very soon.

Zephyr didn't even know where to go once he had gotten back on floor 7. He didn't want to go back to the Seminary. Leanne would ask questions he didn't feel like answering. Then when he didn't answer she'd throw a fit, go on about how talking about his feelings was good, then kick him out when he got snappy and or sarcastic. Then his mood would worsen, which was not generally a good thing because he picked fights with people. He stayed out in the streets of Cranktown, sitting in corners and watching people go by. He was trying to work out the situation in his mind. He didn't know what he had done wrong, or if Vashyron did that to people all the time. Betray their trust when they were drawn in. Or maybe only men? He stayed out long enough to fall asleep in the niche he had hidden in, curled up and using his body heat for warmth.

When he woke up, the sun was just rising, and his body was incredibly and terribly stiff. He was covered with a layer of cold and would like nothing more than a nice hot shower to defreeze his limbs. He pulled himself out and stretched slowly, working out the kinks in his muscles. His neck was especially sore from the angle it had been at. He had the entire day to himself, and not Vashyron, unless he was given a surprise visit or something. He was too scared of what Vashyron would do if he found out he was sleeping around more to actually go out and get clients. He decided to take the day as a nearly normal person, strolling about, people watching. Normal stuff. Not prostituting.
