"Hey shut up! My daddy isn't crazy!"

12 Year old Madison fell back, cutting her elbows as she fell down, she whimpered but didn't cry. Being the daughter of a convict wasn't easy. In this town everyone knew everyone's business and nothing was a secret. Rumours and lies spread like wildfire. It wasn't easy being 12. No one liked Madison for who she really was. She was the "weird" kid who sat on her own and was always in trouble with the teachers at school. Everyone said that she was her father's daughter. She was bullied something chronic by the girls and boys alike. Always fighting and always bruised. Madison had nowhere to run and no-one to turn to. Madison was very alone with nothing to loose. She was always one of the "lads" growing up. It was no wonder that Madison became one of the most successful assassins in the world.

10 years on....

Madison had been sat in the very same spot for nearly 5 hours now. She was getting quiet restless and irritble. But the job had to be done. He needed to go. With the blink of an eye, there he was, just walking so casually down the street. None the wiser that he was being watched. Madison followed him with her scope, ready to shoot. Her finger was about to pull the trigger when her mobile phone went off. Her finger lifted up from the trigger and she chucked her rifle down. "DAMMNIT!" Madison growled as she flipped her phone to answer it. "Yes?! WHAT?!" Madison said angrily, "Abort the mission?" She said, her face going red with rage, "I have just been sat on my arse for the last five hours waiting for this motherfucker to come and you want me to abort?! ARE YOU TOTALLY INSANE?!" She shouted down the phone. Her face then fell very calm, "I see.....okay....okay....bye...."

Her heart was racing from rage as she dismantled her gun and put it back into the black rucksack she had with her. Once she was packed up, Madison begun to make her way down the several flights of stairs and vacated the premises. As she left the building, Madison slipped her shades down over her eyes and became one of the crowd. Her phone started ringing again. "Hello?" She said with a heavy sigh. Her stern look then became a suprised one," Oh really?....Yup....Yup....I see....Sure....i'll leave right away." And with that she flipped her phone shut once more. She looked around and a smirk, that she couldn't hide any longer, wiped across her lips as she walked into a tall block of flats.

Madison entered the third room to the left on the first floor and went in. She threw some things together into a small suitcase and left again. She hollered down a cab and got in. After about 20 minutes she arrived at the airport. She booked a ticket and got onto the plane only a few minutes later.

A few hours later Madison arrived in New York. This was where her next job was. She went to the airport bar and sat down, ordering a strong drink. She looked around for a man in a suit with dark hair. He was supposed to be there by now. She was wondering whether her missions had been mixed up and was starting to doubt that he was going to come. But after about 45 minutes he finally showed. Madison kept her cool. Her shades down, she followed him out of the airport and to a hotel.

By now it was getting dark. Madison had booked her room, unpacked and changed into a black cocktail dress. She wore a short black cardigan over the dress to hide a tattoo on her shoulder. Getting down to the hotel bar, she sat down and ordered another strong drink. She looked around the hotel lobby and caught the eye of a handsome man....it was her next job....


((Okay so in this one i want Madison and her "job" to get to know each other, maybe even fall in love? And then Madison feels guilty about having to kill the guy and she has to kill him by a specific time or she gets killed too...you get the picture!))

((I'm interested in joining this, but I want to know how you want her 'job' to act and such. Is is supposed to be an important man or just somewhat of an average Joe?))

Jacob arrived at the airport right on time. New York was a place he knew all too well as many of his missions seemed to take place in that area. That city that never seemed to just go to sleep. Of course he was only interested in the underground dealings... mafia, gangs, the worst of the worst... he was the man that they would send when things got really bad. Quick, quiet, efficient, the perfect agent. Lethally trained in most weapons from the small pistol, to sniper rifles, even rocket propelled grenades... Jacob was deadly.

He looked about the hotel bar, he heard a voice in his head, a device installed that would allow the higher ups speak with him without anyone else hearing. Telling him that he was to wait at the Hotel until he received further instructions. He looked about the bar, he had a very nice room for his stay. Might as well enjoy himself. Spotting a young woman at the bar and she interested him he smiled at her and moved over to her. "Hello" he said with a small smile.

Madison picked up her glass and swilled the brownish liquid inside around. She looked at it, sipped it then placed the crystal glass back down ontop of the well polished bar, "Good evening," She replied with a strong British accent. Madison sat up straight and re-crossed her legs, "I don't belive we've had the pleasure," She said, trying to sound like she was of the upper class. Maybe the daughter of a wealthy man. She held out her hand ever so elegantly, "The name's Starr.....Madison Starr. The pleasure's all mine," She winked at him and flicked her long, sleek black hair over one shoulder.

In the flesh, he looked slightly more daunting than she had expected. But a job was a job and it needed to be done. One way or another Madison would find a way. She didn't become one of the top assassins in the world by just sitting there looking pretty!

"Jacob..." he said taking her hand and kissing it as she held it out. He was trained to be suspicious, one of his personal rules is to have a plan to kill everyone that he met... just in case someone turns on him.

"Something tells me that you are not from this side of the ocean... where are you from Ms. Starr?" he asked her. He hoped that he wouldn't get called in with his mission tonight... she seemed like a nice person that he would want to get to know a bit better. It wasn't often he met new people that he wasn't sent in to kill, maim, or simply rough some information out of.

Madison smiled at Jacob's charm. None of her notes warned her about this. She would have to try and play it safe for now. It seemed that this mission could turn into quite a tough one. Madison needed to watch her footing or she could give up her true reasons for befriending this man.

"No, no i'm not from here actually," Madison said softly, "I'm from England...but i do like to come over to the states now and then when i need a rest," She replied innocently. "Can i buy you a drink Jacob?" she asked, getting a couple of Dollar bills from her purse. "So...do you come to New York often?" She asked him. Maybe getting to know her prey before the kill wasn't that bad?

"More often than I would like to." he said with a smirk. "Well... a drink would be great." he asked. "England... beautiful country." he said with a small smile. He could tell she was from England, just from talking to her, he placed her dialect easily. Though he did find her a bit odd... but maybe he was just being suspicious for no reason... Though he couldn't deny the fact that this girl could be a trained killer... he had run-ins like this before. But maybe she was just a normal girl looking for a good time or perhaps a new friend.

"I think it's quite nice here...New York...the city that never sleeps!" Madison said, sounding like she was reading a tabloid. Madison ordered Jacob a drink and herself a red wine this time. She wanted to atleast be sober for this! "So....Jacob....please...tell me a little about yourself," She said as she sipped her wine. She took a packet of cigarettes from her purse, "Smoke?" She asked and offered him one as she took one for herself and lighting it. "What does Jacob do for a living? I must say you do look pretty well off," She stated, looking at his smart attire.

Jacob put up a hand. "Nah, I don't smoke." he said. Last think he needed when he infiltrated deep into an enemy base, or a warehouse full of people that he needs to take down. Smoke tends to draw attention. He smiled. "My job?" he asked, he remembered his cover. "I work for a business out in Detroit. Mostly I'm in Marketing, nothing glamorous sadly." he said. "I have to attend a meeting here in New York in a few days." he said. "Myself? Well, I'm a single man, successful, fairly well off." he said at least that was honest enough. "What about you? What do you do Ms. Starr?" he asked drinking a small sip of the wine... not feeling anything bad he drank a little bit more.

Madison placed her cigarette packet back into her bag and took a few deep drags from her own. She then sipped her wine as Jacob spoke about himself, "Oh Detroit? How lovely," She said, trying to make it sound as if she was actually interested in him. "Single you say?" She said, taking another puff from her cigarette, "Now that does suprise me. A successful, handsome man like yourself!" She exclaimed, flicking her sleek black hair back. "What do i do?" She repeated. "Well....i'm actually an artist. Belive it or not," She said with a swift smile. "I'm hoping to open up a gallery here in New York one day," Madison explained. She actually did quite like art and did quite a lot of it herself in her spare time. "Do you like art Jacob?" Madison asked. Just as he was about to answer, Madison's mobile phone went off, she held her index finger up to him," Just a moment hun," She said as she slid off her stool and answered the phone. After a few "yeps" and "uh huhs" and "hmmms" She went back to Jacob. "Sorry about that," She said apologetically, "More business," She said with a sigh, throwing her phone back into her hand bag. "Listen," Madison said, "This may be a long shot but maybe you'd like to come out with me sometime? Go to a club...maybe i'll even let you take me to dinner," She said with a wink as she grabbed her wine and downed it, stubbing her cigarette out when she was done with both.

An artist? She didn't look the the thousands of Starving artists that he knew... maybe she had a job on the side. Still... he was interested in her. He was single because his job usually got in the way, he was too busy with his work for a relationship.

"Actually, I would love to take you to dinner sometime. I'm in New York for a while" he said.

Madison smiled successfully when Jacob agreed to take her out to dinner, "As am i," She replied to him. Her phone rang again and she sighed angrily, "It seems that fate is trying to keep us apart for this evening," She said with a short laugh, "Jacob," Madison held her hand out elegantly, "It has been a pleasure and i fear i must bid you goodnight for this evening," She said as she took her phone out of her handbag once once more, "So...i guess until we meet again?" She said rhetorically before turning on her heel and making her way to her room, taking a quick glance back at Jacob as she left the room.

Madison made her way to her room and locked herself in once her door was shut. She couldn't allow anyone to enter or even leave her room. As an assassin she had to be so suspicious of everyone and everything.

Kicking off her shoes, Madison went to her window and looked out over the illuminated city. So full of life, she thought to herself as she lit another cigarette and blowing the smoke into the cool night air.

((I was thinking that maybe Jacob could get a phone call or something saying that his next hit could be Madison? I think it could be quite amusing to have them after each other! Maybe a little like the movie Mr and Mrs Smith??))

Before she left, Jacob smiled and kissed her hand. "Till we meet again." he said watching her leave. He continued to drink his wine. After she left, he heard a small electronic beep deep in his ear. A sound nobody else would hear. A small device implanted so his benefactors could reach him without any ruckus. He heard a female voice soon after that. "Jacob, our tracking device shows that you are at the hotel bar, pay your tab and get somewhere quiet, say the code when you are able to talk." Jacob stood up as if nothing happened and casually left. He went up to his room and took off his suit, leaving on an undershirt and his pants. "Jack be nimble..." he said. He couldn't believe the code that he would have to say... kinda embarrassing but it got the job done. "Jacob, we have a job for you. In your area is an assassin, a very highly trained one by our estimates. We are not aware of their target yet but we know that they are in your area. You are to locate and eliminate this target before they complete their mission. Sadly we have yet to get you a photo of your target, but we are working on it. Keep your eyes open and maybe some old fashioned detective work will help you locate them before we get any more information. Any questions." the voice said. "No..." Jacob simply replied. And with that, a small electronic beep signaled the end of the conversation.

Jacob simply laid down on his bed. "Great... no time off... stupid work..." he grumbled.

Normally, Madison had more than one job at a time. Her boss always found her someone else that needed 'disposing of' so to speak. There was someone else in the hotel she was staying at that needed to be 'disposed of'. Her boss was sending the information through to her laptop as they spoke. It seemed that their room wasn't too far from hers. She was risking a lot having two targets in the same hotel. But work was work. It needed to be done. Once the information had been received and processed, Madison changed into a pair of black leather trousers, a black tank top and she tied her hair back into a loose ponytail. As she laced up her boots, she begun to plan out what she was going to do. It never took her longer than a few minutes to come up with a plan of action.

Sometimes, some of her targets were easier than others. Sometimes she didn't even need to use her guns. A simple cyanide tablet into the unsuspecting victim's drink would be all it took. Madison always came prepared.

Slipping a cyanide pill seemed to be the easiest way in a public place like this. As Madison made her way down the stairs, she looked around for her target. He was at the bar getting pretty wasted. She smirked a little and casually made her way to the bar and sat down on the stool next to him. She struck up convorsation with him and it didn't take him long to trust her. 'Accidentally' Madison knocked off a few coins from the bar. Her target fell for it and leant forward to grab them. Within those split seconds, Madison had dropped the pill into his drink and had walked off. Job done. Nothing seemed any simpler right now. Madison made her way to her room, locking the door once more and called it a night.

It was 12.35 when Madison surfaced and made her way downstairs. Leaving the hotel, she made her way to one of her favourite cafes just up the road from the hotel. She sat in the corner but had a nice window seat so she was able to view the city beside her. She relaxed as she ate her lunch, sipping her coffee every so often.

Sitting on his bed, Jacob was trying to relax, watch some television... something to take his mind off work for a bit. Suddenly he heard his comm. system go off again. "Jack be nimble..." he said accepting the call. He was free. "Jacob, there was recently a death in the hotel you are staying at, it is suspected that your target is behind it. The local police are not aware of your presence and we aim to keep it that way. Just go downstairs keep your head down and see what you can find out, try to get into the murder scene once the cops clear out for the night. It took place in the hotel bar." the voice said. "Jacob sighed. "Right... I'm on my way." he said sitting up. The transmission cut out. He got dressed up and went downstairs... no rest for the weary...

Whilst Madison was enjoying her "brunch" she had a nasty feeling that she was being watched. She casually looked around the cafe, her eyes scanning each person to see whether they looked suspicious in the slightest. As she scanned, she came to two very suspicious looking men. They were in neat black suits and shades. You couldn't get any more suspicious than that. Madison finished her coffee, paid her bill and stood up. As she went to leave, she noticed the two men in the suits stand up and follow her out. She snickered to herself as she started to casusally walk down the street. Every so often she would turn her head to see whether they were still following. They were. It seems that they were on to her now.

Madison made her way back to the hotel so she was in a very public place. She walked through the lobby and stood behind one of the large plants to see whether the men in black had followed her in. They had but it seemed that they had lost her for the time being as they walked in the opposite direction. Madison watched them go upstairs and she came out from behind the plant but bumped into someone...it was Jacob, "Oh! Good...afternoon it seems...." She said sounding a little flustered.

Jacob woke fairly late in the day and went down stairs, it was early enough. Last night he couldn't get a good view of the scene of the crime... but the bar would be closed for a few more days, he would get in... he just needed to wait until the police cleared out a bit.

However he wasn't quiet paying attention, he knew that he would need to watch his back, and find out what was going on. He would need to find the assassin before they found him. And then eliminate them. Easy enough it seemed. But his absentmindedness is what caused him to not notice Madison before it was too late. "Oh! Hello Ms. Starr. How was your evening?" he asked.

Madison composed herself and straightened up, "It was lovely thank you..." She said, pausing to look at Jacob. "Did you hear about the shocking news?" She asked, getting a glimpse of a paper neearby. Her doings were all over the front page. She couldn't help but smile at how oblivious everyone was. "How was your evening Jacob?" She asked, brushing her black hair back. "Was your room as comfy as mine was?" Madison said, doing her best to make good convorsation.

Her eyes shifted and she could see the men in black suits making their way back through the lobby. She did her best not to catch their eye but it seemed they were closing in on her. She quickly took Jacobs hand and looked to her watch, "Look, i'm late for a date, i'll speak to you later...bye!" She said hurridly as she then quickly made her way upstairs. She walked all the way to the very top floor and got out ontop of the hotel roof. She could see the entire city from up there. It was a beautiful sight but she would be unable to drink in the beauties until she had taken care of the two agents after her...

Jacob smiled as they talked... or rather she talked, as soon as he was ready to respond she said goodbye. He smiled at first. "Right, goodbye..." he said. "I'll catch up with you later." he called after her. It was probably for the best, he had work to do, he needed to search around for any sort of clue... of course if this assassin was a good as they said, clues would be hard to come by.

His eyes though followed where she glanced before she bolted... he didn't get where he was today by not being observant. He seen two men in black suits. He blended in with the crowd nicely. He watched where they went... if they followed her, he was going to check this out.

"Hello boys," Madison said, tilting her head slightly, a smirk upon her lips. The men came at her like hound dogs during a hunt. They were so hungry for her. Wanted, dead or alive. This was the norm for Madison now. So many people were after her. But so many people couldn't have her. She was almost impossible to catch. As the men got closer to her, Madison grabbed one of their arms, twisted herself around and threw one of them off the top of the building. She then turned to face the remained man in black and smiled, "Guess who's next!" She said with a laugh. The man didn't even look scared. "What are you? A robot?!" She exclaimed as she ran at him.

Madison and the man in black were going at it for a good ten minutes before she started to get worn out. She was cut and bruised and very sore. It was a fly kick to the head that brought the remaining man down. She then quickly drew one of the handguns she had strapped to her person and shot him in the head several times. "Hasta la vista baby," She said, laughing to herself. She then started to leave to go back into the hotel to her room to clean up.

Madison made her way to her room and closed the door behind her very quickly. She then made her way to the en-suite bathroom and jumped into the shower. She whinced as the warm water burnt her wounds. She closed her eyes and allowed her body to get used to the water. Once she was out, she then cleaned the wounds with some form of cream. Madison dressed herself and lay down on her bed, closing her eyes in exhaustion.
