Diebus Fatalibus

Mark nodded as he spoke he knelt down and picked up his stuff as well shoving it all in his bag. He had to think as Adam asked what class he had next, "Uh...English" he said staring at the sky trying to mentally recall his scehduale, "...i think..." he added quietly. "Um...how about you?" He asked standing up as tall as he could and stretching slightly.

Adam nodded when he said that he had english. English wasn't bad. It was one of the few classes he actually liked. He sighed when asked the same question. "History. . . ugh" he made a face, rolling his eyes. If there was anything he found excruciatingly boring, it was history. "I don't see why we're forced to learn about the past. . . nobody really cares". The past was something he was keen to ignore.

"Well I'd prefer History over English. Me no goods got grammer...So I'm going to fail this class..." He said with a laugh scratching the back of his head and slumpping forward slightly with a sigh. "At least History can be interesting and doesn't always require I spell things right..." He said glaring to the side. He didn't like English and he didn't like Math, he could only tolerate Science because some of the stuff in the lessons were actually kind of interesting.

Adam laughed and shook his head. History has always been and will always be extremely dull. "I find it really boring. . . I don't care about what happened 200 years ago. . . it doesn't affect me at all. C'mon, we'd better start heading back" he sighed, starting to walk in the direction of the school, across the grass, not really wanting to, but not wanting to be late.

"Aaaaalright." Mark said putting his hands behind his head and walking beside Adam, "Whaaaateeeeever you say..." He walked aong beside Adam towards the school, humming a song, not really paying attention to what song, but it was stuck in his head, so he hummed it. His tail swishing happily behind him. He wasn't worried about being late, he never was, hell he was rarely worried about anything. They reached the school soon enough, and the clock in the hall said there was 6 minutes left until lunch was completely over. Mark sighed, "Well...I'll see ya later...meet uh..." He looekd around, "Uh...meet me here i guess." He said scratching the back of his head. Then he looked around and ran away laughing. He was in a good mood now and nothing could ruin it. until...He crashed into a concrete pole...or at least that was what it felt like. He stumbled backwards and looked at what he had run into rubbing his nose. "Ow..." then his tail stopped moving hia ear flattened and his eyes opened wide, as he saw this massive guy standing in front of him and not a wall or a pillar like he had thought..."Oh shit..." he hissed then he ran, ran as fast as he could ducking and weaving in between people as he went, but not fast enough to not here the guy call out, "Watch it or else, you freak!" Great...now he wasn't in such a great mood.

Adam raised an eyebrow as Mark started humming as he walked, though he didn't say anything about it. When they reached the school he glanced at the clock on the wall as well. 6 minutes was plenty of time to get to class. He nodded when the short neko said that they would meet there after school. "Alright. See you. Bye" he said, turning and heading in the direction of his locker, hearing a distant call, making him turn his head, not seeing anything, but knowing it was Mark, wondering what he had done, while grabbing his stuff from his locker and making his way to his next class.

Mark sat through his next classes just hitting his head on his desk repeating to himself, "stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid!" He couldn't believe he had pissed off such a big kid like that on his first day. That guy had looked like he was 20, and he probably was. The teachers would ocassionally ask him if he was alright and he would always say, 'Ya, I'm fine, this help me think...' he could at least look forward to hanging out with Adam after school right. After class he went right to where he told Adam he would meet him and once there started hitting his head on the wall.

Adam went through his classes as he normally would, though he was distracted, zoning out a few times when he should have ben doing his work. When the bell finally rang he grabbed his stuff and headed to his locker, grabbing what he needed and shoving it into his backpack, closing and locking his locker and walking quickly to the spot where he was supposed to be meeting Mark. "Doesn't that hurt?" he asked, walking up to see the shorter neko banging his head on the wall.

Mark didn't stop as Adam walked up, continued as he had before even as Adam asked if it hurt, Mark's answer was a simple, "Yes." He didn't think there was anything else to say right now, but he had to admit right now h didn't feel anything, it hurt his neck more then his now numb forhead, so he didn't mind it all to much.

"Umm. . . okay then" Adam muttered, not sure why he was smacking his head on the wall if it hurt. As Mark continued, he put his hand on the short neko's forehead, stopping him from smacking it on the wall. "Why are you purposely hurting yourself? You're losing brain cells you know" he grinned slightly, knowing already that Mark couldn't really afford to lose too many more. It was pretty obvious from the way he acted, even if he'd only known his for half a day.

Mark stopped as Adam put his hand on his forhead and he looked at the blond from the corner of his eye, "I'm doing this because I'm an idiot...and my brain cells are fine, they can take the beating..." He replied his voice sounded upset. Though he was slightly pissed at the smartalic sort of response he got from Adam with the brain cells crack, he knew he wasn't very bright.

Adam raised an eyebrow. "You're an idiot, so you are smacking your head on the wall? What'd you do?" he questioned, dropping the brain cell thing. He took his hand off of Mark's forehead, dropping his arm. He recalled the sound of someone yelling about a freak to get out of the way, and he figured that it had something to do with it.

Mark shrank slightly with a sigh as he turned his head only slightly and tilted it back slightly to look up at Adam, "I got a mountain mad at me..." he said, hoping Adam would understand what he meant. Mark sighed and he headed towards the door before Adam could reply, they might as well get moving, Mark wanted to stop by his house before they went to the movies. He could always look forward to that.

Adam understood, having seen the kid walking through the halls many times, which explained that he was right, it having to do with earlier. He didn't ask, since Mark started walking towards the door. He followed, not sure if they were going straight to the movies or not. "Soo. . . we going to the movies?" he asked, putting his hands in his pockets.

Mark looked a little happier at Adam's question, "No. That would be dumb, got no money. We're going to go to my apartment first alright. We can ditch our school stuff and get ready." He stated, feeling smarter then the blond his tail starting to swish calmly behind him as he walked in the direction of his apartment building.

"Um, alright" Adam agreed, walking beside him, having no idea where they were going. He always had money with him, just in case he needed it. His ears twitched and he looked up at the sky for a moment, wondering what his appartment would look like. He had never been inside anyone else's house.

Mark was glad that the walk to his apartment wasn't a long one and he went inside the airconditioned building with a sigh. Walking over to the elevator and pushing the button repeated times, until the doors opened and he stepped inside and pushed the button for his floor. He stood in the elevator silently swaying to the sides slightly from the crappy music they played. When the doors opened again he dashed down the hall to his apartment and searched his pockets for his key for a couple minutes before pulling it out and unlockingthe door. He grabbed the door knob and lookedat Adam saying, "I'll warn you now...it's a bit of a mess in here." Then he opened the door. A 'bit' would be an understaement. There were clothes, food wrappers, pop cans and bottles and pizza boxes scattered around the room. "Just put your stuff down anywhere, I gotta go get money." With that he ran down the short hallway to the right and into the room on his left. It was a small room with a small bed to one side. HE checked the dresser for a while, with no luck, before checking the pockets of pants scattered all over the floor. He ended up finding his wallet on his bed under the covers. he opened it, he had enough for a movie in here. he smiled then walked back out of the room, "All right, I'm ready."

Adam followed into the cool building, waiting at the elevator as Mark hit the button repeatedly. When the doors opened, he walked in, leaning against the wall as they went up slowly, ears twitching at the music, which was really bad. He followed silently down the hallway once they were on the floor that Mark lived on, raising an eyebrow at the warning. When the door opened his eyes widened slightly, and he laughed. "A little?" he asked, walking inside. He set his bag down on a clearish spot, looking around the room. It really was a mess, and Adam had a heard time beleiving that the shorter neko had just moved there. He waited silently as Mark rummaged around for his wallet, just looking around. As the other neko walked back un saying that he was ready he nodded. "Okay. I have money already, so let's go" he said with a smile, walking towards the door. He hadn't been to a movie in a long time, nothing good playing as far as he knew, but he didn't know about now.

Mark nodded and closed the door behind them and running down the hall to the elevator, with the same routine he had for coming up. Once outside again he stretched and started walking towards the mall, where the movie theater was. "So where do you live?" Mark asked trying to strike up a conversation with the other neko as they walked along receieving weird looks from a lot of the people they passed.

Adam followed back down, walking rather than running, waiting in the elevator, and exiting the building. "I live just past the school. . . just a few streets over. . . pretty small, but I don't care" he said with a shrug. He never hid the fact that he didn't have much money, it not bugging him at all. He glanced at a few of the people looking at them, used to it by now, but it still unnerved him.

"Oh cool!" Mark said happily to Adam then looking around he saw that the mall had come into view and he sped up a little, sort of curious as to what could be out right now and if it anything good. Soon they were at the entrance to the movie theatre. Mark walked in and started looking at the screen that said what movies were playing and when. he just sort of stared not knowing what any of them was about.

Adam just nodded, keeping pace with Mark as he sped up. He walked in after the short neko, ignoring the looks he got here as well, looking at the movie titles, having no idea which one would be good. "Uhh. . . any idea what anything's about?" he asked, glancing at Mark. He figured that he didn't seeing as he had said that he didn't know what was out.

Mark looked at the screen then at Adam, "The only one on there that I've heard about is the Harry Potter movie...and I don't even know which one there up to now..." he said with a sigh, scratching the back of his head. Well so far this wasn't going to great, he'd probably have to sit through a movie he didn't want to see...

Adam nodded, looking at the screen again. "I think it's the sixth. . .I've read the books. . . " he said, trying to place the movie titles with what one might be about. He had no idea really, other than the Harry Potter one. "So uhh. . . which one?" he asked, really having no input. He would be fine with anything really, as long as it wasn't boring.

"Might as well go see Harry Potter, at least i know a little about it...other then all these other movies...If we don't like it we can always sneak into a different one during it...which technically isn't stealing." He said looking at Adam and laughing. He went and bought his ticket getting a weird look from the young lady on the other side of the desk then running downstairs to buy food. he waited in line for food,which was insanely long, at the same time waiting for Adam to catch up with him. He got a lot of weird looks but just waved at people who looked at him weird.
