Ryota slowed to a walk outside Pein's office and followed Nami inside, grinning nervously. "Uhh, heheh, sorry we're umm, a bit late. Forgot" he said with a grin, scratching the back of his head. He took the glare from the leader of Akatsuki that he wasn't forgiven, and that it wasn't funny at all, though the surpressed laughter from the blonde was just nervous giggles, which he got often. "So uhh. . . you wanted to see us?" he said, trying to avoid the topic of their lateness.

Nami said nothing as Ryota pathetically excused their lateness. Pein...was not an amused man. Well, no one was quite amused whenever Ryota pulled a stunt like this.
"Yes," Pein growled, "I did." He looked between the both of them, taking the time to glare at Ryota once again as his gaze passed over him. "You two have a mission assigned together. It should take no less than two weeks to complete, as you two are to invade a certain village that doesn't seem to take us seriously and refuses to pay their debts back. Capture anyone you can to use as hostages. Be sure to capture fairly high standing beings there, and not some throw-away villagers. You are not to get caught, though if you do, do not reveal anything more than you absolutely must, to them. You will return your captures here, where we will hold them until the debt is repaid, and our revenge has been sought. Dismissed, you two," he finished, waving them off. Great....another two weeks stuck with Ryota.


(OCC- I didn't know what to do for a mission, so this was made up on the spot. If you had something in mind, tell me and I'll change this ^^')

Ryota waited as Pein explained their mission, trying to make sure he understood it all. He knew he would forget, which was why it was a good thing that Nami was his partner, so she would know what they were doing. When they were dismissed he nodded and left, surpressing a sigh. He was fine spending two weeks with Nami. That was great. But two weeks completing some boring mission wasn't that great, unless is was really exciting. "When are we gonna leave?" he questioned, wondering how much time he had to grab his stuff.

Nami groaned inwardly as Ryota opened his mouth again. Yes, again! Everytime he opened his mouth, one more ounce of her patience was brutally murdered. She was doing her best to keep from hitting him and beating him up again, because there was no way she was going to spend that long serving him again. You couldn't pay her in corpses to do that ever again. Ryota just wasn't worth it! "We leave soon. Pack now, and meet at the entrance. Don't bring anything that will hinder us."

Ryota nodded and skipped off to his room, thinking of what would 'hinder them', as Nami put it. He shrugged and started grabbing things as he got in his room. Several bags of clay, kunai, and food was all he really needed. On second thought. . . they were going to be gone for two weeks. He bit his lip and looked around, spotting the black backpack he was looking for. it was pretty worn, but it fit what he needed. He put his weapons in it, as well as his hairbrush, which he couldn't go two weeks without, and his toothbrush. Didn't wanna go without that either. He packed his stuff and walked to the entrance of the base to meet Nami so they could leave, saying bye to his dad in the hallway as he passed.

Nami grabbed several scrolls which were fairly light weight and easy to carry. She grabbed a larger one that was slightly heavier, but was sturdier than the lighter ones in the scrolls, in case the job called for something stronger. She had to bring her katanas, and she didn't need too much food. She did need to keep up personal hygene, so a toothbrush and a hair brush was needed. She figured that was all she should bring, since she didn't want to have to carry too much or be slowed down by the weight of her lugage. She walked over to the entrance of the base, the backpack slung over a shoulder. It wasn't a very big backpack, but it fit everything perfectly. She saw Ryota coming up as well, and he appeared to have followed orders....this time. "All right. I'm sure we may leave now," she said, walking out. This could be a long trip...

Ryota nodded when Nami said that they could leave now. "Ooookay" he said, dragging out the 'o' tiredly. He didn't particularily feel like walking for a long time at the moment, but he would have to weather he wanted to or not. "So where are we going?" he asked once they had started walking. He couldn't remember Pein having said wich village they were supposed to be going to. . . but he probably had and the blonde just spaced out or something. It happened frequently enough.

"We are heading to the Village of the Snow. Their leaders refuse to repay the loan we gave them, and they've the nerve to ask for more," she told him, having already known these details ahead of time, although she hadn't known then that it would be her and Ryota's mission. "Don't waste any of your energy, Ryota. We've got a bit of a treck ahead of us," she sighed. But of course, Ryota had nearly boundless energy. Or at least his mouth did.

Ryota groaned at her answer as to what their destination was, his head falling back as he walked. "You're kidding meeee" he whined, "I dun wanna go thereeeeee!". He crossed his arms and sighed, stumbling slightly as they walked. "I'm not going to run out of energy. . . do you really expect me to?" he asked, glancing sideways at her. Sure, they did have quite a bit to go, but he wouldn't get tired too easily.

"It doesn't matter whether or not you would like to go there," she said, her head already aching from the headache coming on from Ryota. She didn't care if he ran out of energy either, but then that'd slow the mission down, as well as lower their chances of success. "Yes, you're expected to, so keep up and don't wear yourself down too quickly." This was going to be quite the trip....

Ryota rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "I'm not going to get tired, and I'm not going to wear myself down" he said firmly, though he knew he probably would. All he needed was about an hours rest and some sugar to keep him going once he was tired anyways. "Now you'd better not get worn out either. . . or else there will be a problem" he grinned, knowing that she wasn't going to tire as quickly as him anyways, being half-puppet, but he just had to say it.

Nami gave him a side ways glance and side ways glare. "Just worry about yourself, Ryota," she snapped, not liking how he challenged her with her not getting tired while he was the one who would right away. He'd whine and complain and keep going on and on until she knocked him unconscious for a little while. Even that wasn't permanent though..... "Anyways, just....don't do anything stupid that will jeaprodize the mission."

Ryota grinned and laughed when Nami snapped at him. "Calm down, I'm just kidding" he said with another laugh, holding up his hands. At the mention of him doing something stupid though he threw his arms in the air. "When do I do anything stupid!?" he exclaimed, tripping over a rock and doing a facplant in the dirt. "Okay. . . don't answer that quiestion. . . " he muttered, getting to his feet and brushing off his cloak as he walked.

Nami didn't say anything as he tripped, answering his own question.She just kept on walking, not finding it nessecary to comment on anything since she said it before. No wonder he was so clumsy. His father and mother hand been just as bad, and unfortunatly passed that on to him. He probably had more of his mother in him than his father, from what she had heard. "Again; don't do anything stupid."

Ryota sighed as he caught up to her. This was going to be a long trip. he couldn't go very long without being stupid. It just wasn't possible. "I'm not going to be stupid. . . starting now" he declared, looking down at Nami instead of where he was going, ending up walking into a tree branch that was his head height. "DAMNIT! Okay, starting now" he payed attention to where he was going now, trying his best not the trip or anything. It ibviously wouldn't last long though.

She had to ignore him now as he repeated 'starting now' and wound up messing up right away. He repeated again. Maybe if he didn't try so hard, he might not fall as much. It seemed that when he really wasn't thinking about not messing up, he didn't as much. When he consciously tried to prevent himself from falling or messing up, he did it twice as much. He was such a mess. She'd just have to keep her temper and ignore him.

"Well at least if I get hurt you won't be stuck with the burden of me anymore" Ryota said cheerfully. It really must suck to be burdened with him, but he wouldn't know. He made sure to lift his feet, and keep them a bit farther apart from each other than he normally would, just so they wouldn't catch on each other, and he kept an eye out for anything that might make him look stupid, completely unaware of how stupid he looked just walking like that, his head even ducked a bit so as not to hit anymore branches.

"If you get hurt, the burden of you is twice as bad," Nami said. "If you get hurt, then it's harder to help you around because of wounds and casualties, thus slows down the progress of the mission," she explained. Really, wouldn't he understand this kind of concept? "Unless you mean death, than that would still slow us down, because your corpse is required when you die."

Ryota concidered this, forgetting to watch what he was doing, so he didn't look as stupid or anything. "You could always just dump me somewhere and come back later, for either of those, though I hope I don't die" he said with a grin. He knew that it was a miracle he hadn't managed to kill himself yet, but it was only a matter of time.

"This is true," Nami muttered, thinking about leaving his body somewhere for most of the mission and just doing the thing on her own. It might work....but then she could also get in quite the amount of trouble for doing so. She would now have to ignore the small voice in her head that told her to make Ryota unable to fight for the next two weeks so she could get the mission done quicker. The voice was pretty tempting to listen to, but it did have to be ignored.

Ryota laughed and shook his head, knowing full well that she was concidering it. "Well if you injure me, don't kill me, or break my leg again, please. Anything else, whatever" he said with a snort of laughter. He was giving her permission to hurt him and then dump him somewhere for 2 weeks!? There was something seriously wrong with him. . . the hit to his head on the tree branch was probably the last of his brain cells gone now.

"I don't intend on breaking your limbs again....I'd rather never find myself in a dress again," she said growling. That stupid degrading maid's dress had been the worst. Never again did she want to get into one of those stupid things. "And I can't kill you anyway....Leader would be....mad." Totally an understatement, but whatever. Everyone would probably like the quieter base, although they might even miss the noise by Ryota after a while. Even she would miss it after some time.

Ryota burst out laughing at the mention of the maid dress. That was probably the best idea he'd ever had. He calmed down enough to hear her next words, but then started laughing again. "I don't think anyone would really care" he said through his laughter. The only one who would probably miss him was his dad, in his opinion. Every one else would be happy to get rid of the annoying loud nuiscance. (sp?)

"Well, delving into the human mind, over time they would eventually come to miss the loud and obnoxious things you do, even though they've got Tobi, who seconds you when it comes to being annoying and stupid, it wouldn't be the exact same level," she explained, knowing that he might not be able to understand most of it.

Ryota raised an eyebrow, stopping his laughing. "Um. . . I don't get it" he said, grinning sheepishly. Delving into the human mind? Why would they miss him anyways? All he was was a pain. He shrugged it off. "The only mind I get is my own. . . and I don't even get that sometimes" he said with a laugh. It was true, as pathetic as it sounded.
