A rare occurance (RippedNose ONLY)

Ryota sprawled out on the couch for a bit, watching tv. There was nothing else really to do at the moment. He was joined by Kakuzu and Hidan eventually, and then Kisame was added to the group. Ryota was kicked off of the couch so the three could have more room. Eventually they started arguing about what to watch, which resulted in half of them wrestling each other on the floor to see who would get the remote, it set up like a tournament really, winner fights winner, etc.

Sora looked closer at the things he nabbed, tossing a couple at the tree to see if they'd break. He didn't want or need to go inside right now, and he didn't want to go anywhere near Ryota. He didn't want to be inside the base even if Ryota wasn't there. It felt like a cage, what with the way Pein ruled them. It was like, once you're in you can't get out. That was annoying. Sora needed his freedom, his space. He couldn't get any of that in the crowded, cramped space called the Akatsuki.

Ryota ended up losing, big surprise, and Kakuzu had won. Of course he won the entire thing, through cheating. He just had those stupid creepy tendril things pin everybody down to claim victory over what they watched. Of course now they were all stuck watching some stupid game show, with Kakuzu correcting all the people's answers, which made it obvious that he would win the million dollars up for grabs. Of course. Ryota didn't even spare a second thought to Sora, not knowing or caring where he was.

He was vaguely considering sleeping outside again. This was such a foolish squabble, so why couldn't either drop it? Sora was more childish then he thought. Thanks to Ryota, he now looked a lot more immature then he normally acted. That really was something to tick him off, for a stupid reason too. That just really frustrated him. It was annoying, it was silly, and there was no point to this. He gave up. He'd sleep outside again because he just really didn't care.

Ryota stretched out on the floor again, not allowed on the couch by the older men. "Kakuzuuu!" he whined, glaring at the stitched up man, "Why do we have to watch this?! It's so boring!". He groaned when he heard the answer, which was 'because I won, and I said so'. It was just as bad as something Ryota could come up with! He sighed and dropped his head to the floor, rolling onto his stomach and folding his arms under his head, bored out of his mind.

Sora was bored, but he wasn't about to go find something exciting and junk to do. He had no idea why, him being as bored as he was, you'd think he might just want to fix it so he wasn't so lay-about-ish. He hated just sitting here, but he had nothing better to do. If he went and sneak attacked Ryota, it'd more than likely turn back on him with both of them injured and unconscious again, near death for the third or fourth time already. He wasn't about to let that start quite yet. Not for a while, anyway. Now what? He was bored sitting in the tree. Was there anything good for him to do except sleep?

Ryota gave up on the tv after awhile, tired of the stupid game show Kakuzu had picked. He grabbed some clay and headed outside to see if he could find a nice secluded area to try and figure out a new technique to use with his art. He walked outside, right past Sora, trying to pretend he wasn't there, but alert to any attacks or anything. He just wanted to work on his art, he didn't need to get in one of their stupid fights again, ending up passed out on the ground.

Sora raised an eyebrow as Ryota passed by, seeming to know he was there but choosing to ignore him being there. Fine by him. Both didn't need a fight. Neither could probably afford it right now also. Both were really still recovering from all the junk from before, so Sora wouldn't hesitate to bet they just wanted a break from each other, though that had sort of already been tried and failed, but whatever. Lessons were learned from mistakes, and both had gotten a lesson or two from the previous one.

Ryota found a spot far enough from Sora, about a ten minute walk, before he stopped. He climbed a tree and sat in the highest branch he could reach, enjoying being almost invisible, with the leaves completely covering him. He put his bag of clay in his lap and looked at it, thinking hard before pulling some out and letting his hand-mouths chew on it. he had no idea what he was going to do with it, but he would figure it out.

Sora didn't even care whatever Ryota was doing, but he was still on his guard. He didn't know if Ryota would try anything in the condition they were in and how much they had recovered from the last fight, but still. Always keeping his guard up was a habit. Ryota around here made it doubly so. He didn't know why he was here, but he had a knife in his pocket just in case. He peered over in the direction he had walked every so often.

Ryota moulded the clay easily, squeezing it in his palms, opening them to reveal little clay dragons, which stretched on his palm before taking flight, flying high in the air before exploding in a burst of colour and light, making the blonde grin. It wasn't really new, but he didn't use that one much. He had no idea what to make. Artist's block was something he hated, and it seemed as if he had it. Either that, or just lack of creativity. Same thing, sort of.

Sora watched as an explosion, a small one just for colors, burst where Ryota was. So he was just messing around, huh? Ah, well, he did what he wanted, Sora didn't ultimately care what he did. He wouldn't drop his guard still, and maybe he was being a little cautious, but it was how he had trained himself. In towns filled to the brim with pick pockets, what more could you do?

Ryota made a crab after thinking for awhile, that was designed to blow up in three different stages, but the rest of it would survuive as the first and second explosions went off, so it wasn't just one and it was all destroyed in the blast. He tossed it onto the ground and it scuttled away until he made the handsign, yelling "KATSU!!" and watching one claw of the crab explode, and once the smoke cleared he saw the rest of it still intact until the second blew up, leaving just the body, which blew up next, all with the same amount of time between them.

Sora didn't care much for the little fireworks show he had going on where he was. The explosions were annoying enough as it was, but just him simply enjoying himself made it all more annoying. No idea why, really. Sora looked at his knife, one out of the four he had on him right now. He had two hidden and the other two had been at his waist on his belts. In visible sight so an attack would come to believe they were his only two. The knife he had in his hands now needed sharpening soon, but the hilt still had the same sweet design intact as when he'd first bought it.

Ryota looked down at the damage that had been done by the crab. It was a success, but it was too boring, and simple. He wanted something big and flashy and exciting that worked well. He moulded the clay between his fingers, creating a few birds as he thought, and then a snake, which wrapped around the trunk and made it's way higher up the tree and exploded, causing a bunch of branches to come falling down on him. He threw his arms over his head and let out a yell, feeling extremely foolish after.

Sora nearly jumped from surprise when he heard Ryota yell. He had been running his fingers along the blade of the knife, testing how much pressure he could put on it or how fast it would have to run along something to cut. Because Ryota's sudden outcry had surprised him he had put more pressure onto the blade and cut his fingers. He scowled and sucked the blood off of them quickly, watching whatever Ryota was doing.

Ryota grumbled some curses and complaints to himself, brushing sticks and leaves off of him and pulling some out of his hair. "Well that completely derailed my concentration" he muttered, rolling his eyes. He sighed and looked at the tree, seeing that most of the top had been blown off, and there was damage most of the way down the trunk, including where the branch he was sitting on met the trunk. "Oh shit. . . " he said slwoly, his eyes widening as the branch cracked and he fell a good ten feet, screaming as he hit the gorund, most likely opening all his wounds again.

Sora snickered as he heard Ryota fall and scream. He could tell he'd hit the ground hard, just a feeling, sort of. Well, anyone would hit the ground hard, but with Ryota, gravity would really pull him down. Maybe he'd broken a bone or something! That'd be nice, Sora admitted. He didn't care, and Ryota totally couldn't pin it on him because he hadn't done anything! His own clumsy fault.

Ryota lay on the ground in pain when the branch, that was lighter than him, but still pretty heavy, landed on his back. He let out another strangled yell and dug his fingers into the earth, taking an inventory of the damage. He moved each part of his body, finding that he had probably broken a rib or two, and his arm, and he was sure that the scabs over his wounds had ripped off and were now bleeding again. He dragged himself to feet with much effort, one arm hanging uselessly at an awkward angle, and the other wrapped tightly around his middle. He screwed up his eyes and gritted his teeth against the pain, slowly limping back towards the base. He knew it was completely his fault this time, but he was used to it. The only thing that bothered him was that he was more injured than Sora now, giving the redhead an advantage.

Sora watched him limp to the base, laughing as he watched the image of Ryota. He had a twisted arm that was definitely broken, and with the stance, his posture, he moved as though there was pain in his torso or midsection, so he assumed he'd broken or badly bruised something within that region. Served him right, and it had been purely his own fault. Well, seeing Ryota like this had plainly just made his day! This was rather comical, really.

Ryota turned his furious gaze on Sora as he heard the redhead laughing at him. "Shut the fuck up!" he demanded, flipping him off with his good arm before limping off, just wanting ot make it to the base, instead of being left outside until he healed funny and had to drag his deformed body back inside, half starved. That wouldn't be good. Each step sent a pain shooting up his leg and through his ribcage, to his broken ribs and his stab wounds.

The fact that Ryota had looked up and gotten mad made it better, because he still was an idiot. "Have fun," Sora called down to him, though he was pretty sure he was now officially being ignored. Couldn't blame him now because he'd been caught laughing at him, so now maybe Ryota was ignoring him. Besides that, he seemed quite concentrated on getting into the base to wrap up his injuries. Ah, only Ryota could do that to himself.

Ryota just growled to himself when Sora called to him, ignoring him other than that. He limped the short distance back to the base, which took longer than it normally would, and inside. He got a few strange looks from people as he walked by but nobody said anything, probably assuming it was Sora. He got to his room and wrapped up his arm and his ribs, able to do a good enough job himself, and then checking the bandages on other parts of his body, changing the ones that had started bleeding again.

Sora watched the clouds pass overhead for a bit before deciding to head in. Ryota might have calmed down some, or maybe he was annoyingly ranting, complaining, etc. Such a pest. Why did Sora stay here? Vengeance was totally worth it, so that's why, for now. He wanted to see what else would happen around here, though he was none too pleased when fights between the two broke out.

Ryota laid back after he finished with his bandages, stretching out on his bed and looking around his room, in more pain than he had been before he went outside, which was saying something, because he had been hurting pretty badly. He sighed and looked at the ceiling, trying to find pictures in the cracks and soot covering the ceiling, having nothing better to do.
