A Sight to See

Smirking slightly, not enough to be told he was looking smug, "Good afternoon. I believe the server greets first, but maybe America isn't up to customs," he began, knowing why the woman wasn't greeting him. She might have greeted Draylen if he was speaking directly to her, and if Nathaniel hadn't already laid claims on him. "Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream in a waffle cone, if you will. Whip cream and nuts if you don't mind." He left out the sprinkles figuring the ice cream already had enough chocolate to it. She gave him a look that made him wonder if she was asking herself why she was serving him.

Draylen tilted his head to the side, slightly confused, but he shrugged it off. He listened while Nath ordered, putting his hands on the top part of the freezer, as he had done since he was little, but when he was oo short he had simply put his hands on the glass. He waited for Nathaniel's order to be filled before he spoke his own wishes. "Umm, I'd like the Everything Chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles, please" he said brightly, looking at the items he had chosen, and then back to the employee.

"Chocolate ice cream with more chocolate?" Nathaniel asked with a smile, raising an eyebrow. He took his glasses off, remembering they were still on and he didn't need them now. He put them back in his case and took out his wallet and got money ready. The lady got their orders and he handed her the amount she claimed them to be. He took his and eyed it, finding it to look as good as he thought it would look. "Want to pick a seat?" he asked Draylen, even if it wasn't Starbucks and they wouldn't need to avoid a ghost, probably.

"Yep. Gotta love chocolate" Dray grinned, taking his ice cream when it was handed over, licking his bottom lip in slight anticipation of the treat. He hadn't had ice cream in a while. "Sure" he shrugged, walking to one of the tables in the shop, sitting down on one of the chairs. He licked up one side of his ice cream, smiling and making a happy noise at the flavour. Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate, with bright coloured sprinkles on top. What could be better?

"So much chocolate. I don't think I've seen that much in one handful." The rainbow sprinkles were a nice touch though. It was almost comical from the amount of chocolate to the little colors sprinkled on top. He licked his, taking the whip cream down with his tongue first. He liked eating the whip cream off of everything before getting to the main event. Whip cream also had a tendency to melt a little, so it was better to get rid of it first. The nuts were mixed in with the whip cream, he sucked the whip cream to separate the two ingredients only to eat them soon after. "It's good," he said, taking a side ways glance at the lady. She wasn't looking at them, which was good. She was avoiding the older male's eyes, and his boyfriend.

"My mom likes to tell me that I overdose on chocolate" Draylen laughed, shrugging. He liked chocolate in all forms, unless it contained something like insects. He couldn't help but let his eyes linger on Nathaniel when the older licked the whipped cream off of his ice cream, but he looked away once he realized he was staring. "Mhmm. Very good" he nodded, licking at his own again, crunching on a few of the chocolate chips. He was oblivious to the glance Nath took at the lady working there, not knowing that anything was going on between them.

Nathaniel watched the pink tongue dart out from Draylen's mouth to snatch a layer off the top from the ice cream coated in chocolate chips. He could hear him chewing and breaking said chips in his mouth. So he had established very silently that Draylen was with him and only him. What did the cashier girl think of them now? She, for the most part, was enjoying the atmosphere of the place she worked at with all the content people eating the delicious ice cream. Occasionally Nathaniel could feel her eyes staring at them. He debated on how to make her keep her eyes away. "Gonna have to come here more since we know it's good," he said, "I'd say a few times a month, ish." He wasn't sure how good that was for health, but he knew people who had it every night. "Wouldn't want to over do it lest we ruin a good treat."

Draylen finished the chocolate in his mouth and continued to eat the rest off before he started on the actual ice cream. "Yeah? Sounds cool" he nodded, liking the idea of that. Ice cream couldn't be good for you all the time, but a few times a month would be fine with him. "I'll try something different every time" he decided, starting to lick the chocolate ice cream off the cone, before it started to drip all over his hand. That was his one problem with ice cream, was that it tended to get everywhere you didn't want it to be.

"The staff might recognize us if we show up for the same person enough times," he said, clearing his throat as he finished the whip cream and made it to the sweet ice cream. He instantly got caramel and some of the chocolate from the first lick. He couldn't wait to find the fudge inside. He watched as the younger male at the table licked the length of the cone, cleaning up dripping ice cream. "Need some help with that?" he asked sarcastically, snickering a bit. The woman was listening, he could feel her eyes again. Maybe he'd lick the ice cream off for Draylen next time it dripped.

Draylen laughed, knowing it might come to that. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure the people at Starbucks already know who I am. I go there alot, with or without other people" he liked their coffee, and the atmosphere, despite the unwelcome guest in the corner. He looked up from the ice cream at the question and he couldn't help but grin. "Maaybe" he said innocently, glancing around once, more out of habit, checking if they were getting any bad reactions, and it didn't seem like it, but he saw the girl at the counter look away when he glanced at her, and he wondered if she had been looking at them for long.

"I'll give you a hand next time then," he offered, tempted to be serious about that suggestion and tease the girl at the counter. She was just asking for it with those continuous stares and minor glares she sent towards Nathaniel. He found a piece of chocolate in the blend of ice cream, taking off chunks with his top teeth so he couldn't feel the cold hurting his teeth. He liked scraping the ice cream, kind of, as long as he couldn't feel the pain the freezing food caused to the nerves in his teeth.

Draylen laughed, unsure if he was serious or not, but he couldn't help but hope slightly that he was. He started at the top of the ice cream since he had gotten all the drips for the moment, biting off a chunk of ice cream that had a bite of brownie in it. There were all kinds of chocolate things stuck inside. Brownies, fudge, chocolate sauce, bits of chocolate bar, and more that he couldn't identify. He noticed a drip starting to fall, but he left this one for a moment, to see if Nathaniel was actually going to do something about it.

The Brit had been busy, like the American, biting the ice cream to get more than just a few licks. He was a quick eater, he wasn't sure why. He was pretty close to the cone already when he noticed the drop that Draylen was looking at but doing nothing about. He smirked, checking peripherally if the lady at the counter was watching. He could see her face turned in the direction of them. He leaned forward and licked the drop, trailing up to lick the actual ice cream of Draylen's. "Very chocolaty indeed," he commented, smiling slyly as he blatantly looked for the girl's reaction. She had left for the back room. He won this round.

Draylen looked up as the older male leaned forward, a small smile playing on his lips. He watched Nathaniel lick up the side of his ice cream before pulling away and commenting on it, accompanied by a smile he decided he rather liked. "Indeed" he agreed, grinning slightly before biting his ice cream again, wondering for a moment why Nath was looking for the girl who had been at the counter. Was he trying to spite her or something? He had no idea, but he shrugged it off, planning on asking later.

Now with the female pest out of the way, Nathaniel returned to eating his cone and watching Draylen eat his. Draylen was an amusing eater, he couldn't figure out why though. Something about him eating was as captivating as watching t.v. Highly amusing even if you weren't paying attention. He bit his cone, the crunching from him taking it apart and chewing it. He liked sucking the ice cream from the bottom. It was somewhat melted and he could drink it.

Draylen continued down on his ice cream, discreetly licking over the place that Nathaniel had, unable to help himself. He took bites off the top next, getting closer to the cone, but not as far as Nath was already. He could hear the crunching of the cone, and he glanced up, watching the reader eat now. He had been switching between that and looking around, busy eating his ice cream to talk much. It was yummy, and he would definitely plan on going there again.

"Slow eaters, the lot of you are," Nathaniel said, holding a hand in front of his mouth so he didn't show food or spit any. He hated when people did that, so he took mind to make sure he wasn't a bloody hypocrite. It wasn't a race, as his mother always told him, and he'd gotten in trouble once for apparently encouraging his brother to eat as fast as him, like a contest, and choke. That couldn't have been his fault because his brother was mad at him for being older and better at plenty more things than he was. It came with age, maybe Leland would be a fast eater and not choke on everything.

"I like to savour my food" Draylen explained, taking another bite of his ice cream. He could eat quickly if he wanted to, but he found no point to it. Sure, you would have food in your system and not be hungry and such, but then the food was gone, then what? No more. He ate things slowly more to save the taste. He took another few bites before he was down to the cone, crunching on it happily, pretty sure he hadn't gotten any ice cream on his face, but he could never be sure.

"Savoring, hmm." Not that he didn't savor his food, but he just ate fast. There wasn't a way to explain it. He wasn't in a hurry or anything, it just went down his throat faster than most people did. "I'm enjoying the food, I'm not just eating it quickly because it tastes good. You people act like it's the last food you're ever going to get, actually." Like they were drawing it out, trying to tell their brains it was lasting longer in their stomachs if it was lasting longer in their hands.

Draylen laughed as he swallowed, keeping his mouth closed until he was finished. "Well you never know. I could make this ice cream last the rest of my life. It just wouldn't be a very long life, since I'd die of starvation" he said, not being very serious with the conversation, even if that was true. He took another chunk off of his cone, getting lower down like Nathaniel was. He would be done in a few more bites, he figured. He dipped his tongue into the melted ice cream at the bottom of the cone, looking at Nath almost involentarily as he did so, licking the ice cream up slowly.

Nathaniel dared give him a look to respond to Draylen licking the inside of his cone and looking up for a reaction. Draylen was daring him to imagine something, Nathaniel was captured by the image of his boyfriend appearing like that for him. Nathaniel finished the cone of his, eyes locked with the American's as he licked his fingers slowly, drawing it out and flicking his tongue a little with each finger he finished. What exactly were they trying to prove to each other? Well, if the cashier girl walked out of that backroom of hers again, at least she'd walk into this.

Draylen had no idea what they were doing, but as Nathaniel licked his fingers slowly, the brunette couldn't help but appreciate it. He bit his lip for a brief moment before he dipped his tongue into the bottom of the cone again, licking up the last of it. A drop of ice cream slipped out of the corner of his mouth, his tongue darting out to catch it before he made it very far. He was quite enjoying the view of Nathaniel, but he said nothing about it, still not entirely sure what they were doing.

His eyes caught the darting of the other's tongue catching the drop of ice cream that had slipped. "Not much left," he said, smirking a bit. "You seemed to have enjoyed it a lot." Hadn't they both, really. That was more enjoyable than he'd imagined this could have been. First he got to harass the girl eying his boyfriend, then he got to lick the American's cone of the dripping ice cream. Today was a good day, as if he didn't already know that. "We can do whatever you like after if you have time," he said, enjoying the time he got to spend with the other male.

Draylen bit his lip slightly to hide his smile when he caught sight of the small smirk. "So did you" he replied, raising an eyebrow for a moment before sticking the last bit of his cone in his mouth. He finished up ths last bit and wiped the back of his hand over his mouth, checking that he didn't have any ice cream on his face. "I honestly have no idea. Ice cream was my only idea" he admitted, laughing slightly. "You could come over for a while if you wanted" he offered, shrugging. He wanted to spend more time with Nath, but he didn't care what the pair of them did.

"Sure, that'd be nice," he agreed, "are you ready to go? I'll drive you back to your car and we'll head to your home." He wanted to spend time with his boyfriend, especially now that he could see that Draylen was getting checked out by others. Females mostly, not that he was one to talk. He was just a tad jealous. The American felt more like just his when they were together. He could sit through a bit of cat allergies to be around the younger male.
