A Sight to See

"He looks so creepy" Draylen protested, shaking his head. He could't argue about how he acted, other than the fact that he was pretty sure the man was batshit crazy, but he was like any other crazy dealer out there. "Hmm, that's true I guess, now that I think about it. It's always the scary people who are the best" he thought this over, going through a quick list of where that applied, while still paying attention to the movie.

Nathaniel could agree that the man was creepy, he was a creeper sleazeball like his dad had at work once. The guy wouldn't stop touching everything in the room and breathing down your neck. It scared Nathaniel a lot, and his dad noticed nothing. He made sure not to be left alone in a room with that man. "A very plausible man of society. I don't think it'd be hard to find someone like him in real life, or around the area," he explained, since every place, every country, was so full of them.

"Mhmm, unfortunately. A guy like that walked into A&F a few days ago. It was creepy. He put me on edge" Draylen frowned slightly, unsure as to why that was. He knew that there were certain things that put him on edge, but a random creepy person shouldn't have unless they were actually bad people, or something. He watched as Scipio woke Prosper up, telling him that they were going to the Merry go Round, and he tried to remember what happened next, but he couldn't remember.

"Someone not an average American teenager walked into a stereotypical teenage store?" Nathaniel asked with a little sarcasm in his voice about the American teenage part. "Odd. Adults don't seem to wander in that often unless they were looking for something for someone's birthday or something like that. Was he?" he inquired, furrowing his eyebrows. It was fine and all that someone older was walking in, every store had a variety of customers, but how often did creepy old men walk in for themselves or for someone else?

"Yeah, it was really weird. He didn't even buy anything" Draylen frowned slightly, recalling the occasion. The man had looked at him for a bit, looked at a few more people, walked around a bit, but whenever he turned his back, he felt like the man was watching him. Then he had left, and everything was fine again. He sighed, nuzzling into Nathaniel's neck a bit, eyes on the TV screen.

With the younger male nuzzling into his shoulder after a moment's thought, Nathaniel set his head against Draylen's, having the two of them resting on each other. It was warm and a fuzzy feeling, if he had to describe that with lack of better wording. It was as if they belonged together, he didn't know how to place it, or understand it for that matter. Nathaniel felt he only could have sat through this if he was with Draylen. Not that this was a bad movie, he just didn't always sit through movies well.

Draylen smiled as he felt the pressure on his head, showing that Nathaniel was resting against him as well now. He was happy curled up on the couch like this, spending time with his favorite person to be around. He was pretty sure that this was his best birthday so far, and if he and Nathaniel were still together in a year, maybe that one would be even better. Only time would tell. He knew it was nearing the end of the movie, because it was nearing the end of the story line, and he was glad that the movie hadn't been ruined as much as some were.

Nathaniel was hardly focused on the movie now. He was still more or less following the plot line and all, maybe a few pieces of it he was forgetting why they were doing one thing or another, but he was more focused on the younger boy resting on him and smiling. They ought to spend more time like this, just being around like this, not in public, instead of just doing this for some special day.

Draylen stayed curled up with Nathaniel for the rest of the movie, waiting until the credits were rolling. "They didn't ruin the movie" he stated happily, looking up to Nath, away from the screen for the first time in a while. He had enjoyed the movie, and even more because he was curled up with Nathaniel while watching, and even more because it was his birthday, and he was in a good mood. His dad had walked by a few more times, but hadn't bothered them, not really caring what they were doing.

"That's good. I liked that quite a bit. It confused me when they started using British slang, but I have to imagine not that many Americans care," he said, having rolled his eyes at the time. An Italian child with British accent and British slang, it sounded odd to him. He had sensed Draylen's dad walking past them a few times and had gotten more comfortable with it each time. He could get used to doing this in front of adults. Well, maybe just Draylen's adults, and the public that wasn't his family.

Draylen laughed, not surprised that that of all things would get Nathaniel to say something about it. "I don't think most Americans would notice. I did, thanks to a certain British someone in my life" he smiled, giving Nath a quick peck on the cheek before grabbing the remote, hitting the buttons to make the DVD stop, and the TV go back to cable. He stretched his legs out for a moment, sighing in satisfaction as his knees popped, which often happened when he stretched them out.

Nathaniel laughed sheepishly. "Certain someone hm? I hope they have good taste in their Americans then." He could say he did, although it was Dray who found him. He was nearly sure he'd have never found the young male if he hadn't been found first due to the signal thing. He made a face when Dray popped his knees. "Ouch. Does that hurt?" The only thing he popped, or rather cracked, was his back sometimes after sitting stiff in a chair, and on the occasion, maybe his knuckles. His ankles cracked on their own when he walked, he got used to that one.

"I like to think he does" Draylen said, smiling sweetly. He did like to think it, even if everyone had their insecurities sometimes. "Hm? Nope. I can't even feel it. Something about it just releasing gas in my joints? I don't know, but my dad's friend is a Chiropractor" Dray shrugged, smiling. His knees popped quite often, but he felt nothing, so it didn't bother him. He found it funny sometimes, but the rest of the time he just ignored it.

"You think so then, that's good." He may be a bit picky with who he talked with, even asked questions to, but at least he chose people who wouldn't be a waste of time. "Something like that," Nathaniel agreed, not knowing that much about the human body. It wasn't too interesting to him. They were all basically the same, and as long as everything was functioning right, not much of his concern. "So, how about your taste? Is your taste good with anything special?" Of course it was, if he could sense other people.

"Mhmm" Draylen hummed, nodding slightly. The only reason he knew anything about the joints was from his dad's friend, because he was asking if his knees popping was anything to worry about. "Hmm, maaayyybe. But I do have my eyes on someone" he smiled, keeping his eyes on Nathaniel while he said this, just to prove a point. He said nothing more, simply smiling as if he had a secret, something Nathaniel didn't know. Even if they both knew.

"On someone? Do they know?" the Brit asked, locking sight with the other. They were both smiling from flirting and teasing each other. It was cute to him, but probably sounded pretty sappy to anyone else, namely Dray's dad. "Do I get to hear the secret?" People didn't usually share their secret of who they liked. Or at least guys didn't seem to go on about it to their friends unless they had that person with them already and could brag about being in a relationship. Girls loved telling anyone who would listen that they liked someone who probably didn't like them back.

"I'm pretty sure. If he doesn't, he might be a little oblivious" Draylen replied, pretty sure it would be impossible for him not to know at this point. He smiled at the next question, crossing his arms and shaking his head. "Nope. A secret's a secret. You're not allowed to know" he decided, nodding. He was good with keeping secrets, even if this wasn't exactly a secret.

"Not allowed to hear? Bugger all, how about we talk about this?" he negotiated, giving Draylen a peck on the cheek. "I can talk you into it. Brits are smart enough to blow you." Again, not slang that Americans usually understood. Draylen would have heard it at the time he had been in a fight with Alex. He probably didn't get it at the time if he had heard it, still, Dray would think it was interesting coming from him.

"Hmm, nope. I don't tell people my secrets. Then it's not a secret anymore" Draylen pointed out, smiling slightly at the kiss he recieved. He raised an eyebrow at the next comment, opening his mouth to say something, a bit confused. "Umm, okay? I didn't know being smart had anything to do with that" he shrugged, figuring it was slang, and he had heard it before, but he still didn't understand what it meant.

"It has everything to do with that," he smirked, kissing his forehead and then a small peck on the lips. He just had to make sure he wasn't teasing Draylen like this when his dad walked by. Cuddling was one thing in front of adults, but kissing, flirting, teasing, whatever, was a little awkward. Even if his dad had no problem with this, anyone would find it awkward to walk into PDAing. Nathaniel hated walking in on his parents kissing more than just a goodbye or hello kiss. He wasn't immature, just didn't like looking at it.

"Really now? Well, learn something new every day" Draylen reasoned, accepting the kisses happily. He couldn't care less if his dad walked past while they did this, more comfortable around his parents than most people. "What else are you British people smart enough to do?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, a slight smirk on his features. He didn't smirk often, but some situations called for it.

"Now see, secrets we can't tell because they wouldn't be secrets anymore," Nathaniel countered, tapping Dray's lips with his pointer finger. "I think we could do an information trade, but they won't be secrets anymore. It's up to you." He left the offer hang, like he could tell him something really good. He couldn't offer much seriously right now, but he could kid around, maybe promise things for their future. But that was getting too far ahead of him. Rather, them.

Draylen pouted against his boyfriend's fingers, his own logic turned against him. "Hmm, well I don't know if I want to share" He said, making a face. He wanted to see what Nathaniel could come up with, but at the same time, he wasn't going to lose this game. "You might just have to try and get the answers out of me if you really want to know" he gave a nod. He would find his answers some other way in this confusing twist of teasing.

"Oh, I see, coercing," he nodded as if it had never dawned on him before, but it was now the best thing ever. "Well, you've been forewarned of coercion use, and just know, you definitely had a chance to say something before I resorted to this." He patted Draylen on the head. Everyone was ticklish. Maybe it was a whole lot of childish to tickle someone, but everyone was, and it was the easiest way he knew how to get answers. At least, t.v. and books said so. He'd never tried it before, not with his brother or friends.

Draylen laughed slightly at how Nathaniel's tone was, making it seem like such a good idea. "I don't need to be warned. I can take anything you do" he said firmly, a slight smile on his face, looking determined as he tilted his chin up confidently. He had no idea what Nath was going to do to get the answers out of him, but he knew this was going to be interesting. Most people came up with some interesting ways to get their answers.
