"Hmm, y'know, I've decided," Maemi said after thinking for a minute. "The way people use gay slurs and all, it's basically taking us and throwing them at it, all the while saying 'take that.'" Just the way it was worded when someone said "that's so gay," to maybe an inanimate object or person as an insult. "Y'know, just with the way it sounds and all when they use a slur, it's taking a gay and throwing it at them."

"Yeah. . . it's showing how much they think this is a bad thing" Daishiro opened the lunch he had bought and started nibbbling at it slowly, not really one to eat that much. "I've heard some pretty bad gay jokes" he sighed, recalling a few of them. Some of them even he had to admit were a bit funny, but not too much. The rest were just vulgar, and he found them completely humourless.

"Ugh, I know," Maemi said, wrinkling his nose in disgust. "I have to ignore them but sometimes it's a little difficult to do that when they're practically screaming it in your ear." People would raise their voices about the jokes when he was around, and even when voices weren't raised he could tell from the whispers and looks that they were talking about him. "They need lives to go pick on someone else. We're the same as them, just with different tastes. Wait, no, scratch that. We're better than they are because we can be a little open minded and they can't."

Dai had to agree with that all. "Pick on somebody else or hey, here's a thought, don't pick on anybody at all!" he said, taking another bite out of his lunch. If nobody made fun of each other, or hurt each other, there would be no problems. But that was a stupid wish. . . everybody made fun of people, including him. It was human nature.

"Ah, I wish they could do that," Maemi said. "There'll always be discrimination around, even a little bit. Because people can't accept everything so easily, things that are strange or different, they'll always find some reason to poke fun at or hate. Apparently we all have to be like the common man, so if we aren't, we must be hated. Something like that." Not many people were up for variety, so differences weren't really acceptable for them.

Daishiro nodded, crossing his legs and leaning back, wondering what a world without discrimination would be like. Deffinitly weird, from what he was used to. Discriminated against by everybody, including his teachers and parents. "Yeah. Nobody gets how boring it would be if everybody was the same, in that one perfect image. It would be so repetetive, and mess everything up. People have to be different" he sighed, glancing at some people who were looking at the two of them with glares.

((I heard a girl from PRISM has possibly been kicked from her house for the reason of coming out. I dunno, but they said she wasn't here because of getting kicked out. The reason, Audrey told us, was if we really wanted to know, was to check facebook....))

"We can't sway a person's mind of what they think, as they will always think such," Maemi said. "People aren't born hating others though. Due to brainwashing from others around them, those told and those speaking, they don't fully understand what they're saying, or if they do maybe it's religion biased. Therefore we couldn't sway their minds unless they wanted it swayed."

((O_O omg, thats horrible!! Okay, I think you told me before what PRISM is. . . but I dont remember >.>" anyways, thats terrible! wheres she gonna stay??))

Daishiro nibbled at his linch as Maemi spoke, wondering why he always sounded so smart when he talked. Well, other than the obvious fact that he was smart, despite what his grades said. "Yeah. Everybody can't have their minds changed, but we can still dream" he said with a sigh. His ear twitched and he took another bite, glancing around them, his eyes just doing a sweep before he looked back to Mae. "If the general society lightened up, then other people would lighten up too, under other people's influence."

"Perhaps, but that depends on -excuse me for sounding cheesy- the strength of their hearts. The stronger their heart is the more easy it is for them to except what it different," Maemi said, coughing to hide his embarrassment for using such a sappy term to describe how people accepted one another. "We...we're all a little weak-hearted in some places, but where one person lacks another makes up for. Thus they just kind of wind up kindling a strength to the other."

Daishiro laughed when Maemi excused himself. "Yeah, I know what you mean, but that does sound a bit cheesy. Some people will accept different things though. . . some people accept gay people but are extremely racist. It's all messed up, but everybody has some kind of tolerance in them" he shook some of his green-and-black streaked hair back from his face, wondering why people could be so stubborn sometimes.

((BUDDYY!! I have my geography exam tomorrow!! I'M GONNA FAIL!!!! WAHH!! I'm freaking out!!))

"Ahh, people are messed up. Can't fix them and you can't perfect them. But then it's not like you have to like them regardless. I mean, you should still hold your preferences over them and junk so you don't choose the wrong kind of person to hang around and all," Maemi muttered. "We need more friends sometimes, I think. Then we wouldn't be so bored. But that would cut into our time, so maybe not." He had some aquaintences but Dai didn't. Or at least not enough to keep him happy. Maemi was entertained by the few he had, more or less.

Daishiro nodded, not having much left to say on the matter that wouldn't repeat what he had said. He didn't even know what to say to express half of what he felt with this. At the mention of them needing more freinds he smiled. "Yeah, you're right, on both things. It would be nice to have friends to talk to during classes when you're not around, instead of just being alone" he said, looking around. He had to admit, he was jealous of the people who were concidered 'normal', who had lots of friends, great families, lots of money, good grades, etc. A life he used to have, minus a few things, which had been taken away from him when he came out.

((ugh >.< it was soooo boooring! but tomorrow ive got french, which if i fail, i have to take in summer school. T.T im going to fail. i just dont understand it >.<))

"Do you miss it then?" Maemi asked, cocking his head to the side. "Do you miss being happier with more people who loved you?" Maemi did, sort of, but Daishiro had been absolutely worth the price, and more. He'd give it all up again for Dai as many times as he wanted. "In exchange for losing all of those people and their respect, you gained me. Was it worth it?"

Daishiro sighed at the question. "Yeah, I miss it. Who wouldn't? But it was deffinitly worth it. 100%" he answered, giving a small smile. He wasn't lying qabout that at all. He did miss it, alot, but "What about you? Was it worth it?" he asked the same question, tilting his head to the side. He was rather insecure sometimes, scared that Maemi would leave him because he wasn't good enough or something, no matter how many times he said otherwise.

"Worth it, totally worth it," Maemi replied. "I could do this over and over, as long as the outcome was you, then nothing else matters." Friends and family were nice and all, but boyfriends who actually cared and didn't see you just as some sort of thing to show off or something, boyfriends were totally better.

Daishiro smiled when his boyfriend answered, glad to hear that. Well, glad was probably an understatement. It made him feel warm inside, like somebody filled his stomach with warm water. It just felt nice, like he was wanted, by one person. And that was the one person who was the most important to him in his life. "I'm glad. The same goes for me there, completely" he said, smiling.

"I know," Maemi responded, resisting the urge to hug and kiss him in public. Instead he let his and cover Daishiro's hand. No one noticed so no one jested, but anything larger would have drawn unwanted attention. They didn't need anymore unwanted attention as it was, so restraint was necessary when it came to the public and junk. "We'll always be together," he said because he believed it.

Daishiro smiled when Maemi's hand was on his, a subtle gesture, but it meant alot to him. It was good that something like that was really unnoticable to most people, so they weren't just completely made fun of, as always. "I hope so" he said sincerely, giving another smile. He wasn't sure what he'd do if he and Mae weren't together anymore. All he knew was that it would be horrible, and he would hate it. It would probably get more teason to him as well.

"Yeah, nothing to worry about," he said, though it was more or less to himself or no one. Not one of his healthier habits, but he didn't care. He wasn't counting how many unhealthy things he did continuously. "Hmmm, we need to do something super special awesome to occupy our time and junk. Class is gonna take tooo long today, I can feel it."

(Bleh, rambling. Gotta get back into the swing of things))

Daishiro smiled slightly, wishing that was true, really. There was too much for them to worry about at home. Their parents did everything in their power to keep them from being together, or ignoring them. They faced it together though, and they would make it through. "Hmm, something super special awesome? That's not too easy to do at school" he said, making a face. "Class always takes too long. Especially since we're waiting for it to be over. . . then it seems to take a billion times longer" he let out a sigh, his ears twitching. The day always seemed to drag on longer when he was waiting for it to end so he could hang out with Maemi.

"Yeah, I know, but still. If we can find anything to do during classes to make it go by a little faster, it'll work. I'm up for anything if I can ignore my teachers more." Anything to make the day go by faster so he could spend the rest of it with Daishiro. "Hmm, there's texting, but I'm not a fan of it and I don't have a cell phone anyway....umm...we need something original...something not too many people do or have ever done."
