The Forsaken (May be R)

"Forgive me father, for I have sinned..."

"My son, please tell me what you have done so that you may be forgiven."

"I have slaughtered a family of four without remorse, I have caused the rape of many young women on the streets of this retched city, I have spent my whole life using others for my own goals... or personal gratification.

"... My son.... these... these are heavy sins..."

"Father... can I ask for forgiveness in advance for a future sin? I've been meaning to do something for a long time..."

"But... what do you mean my son..."

"Please... you know who I am..."

"... Clause! Demon... leave me... what do you want from me!"

"I would like to apologize for the murder of a holy man."

"What... what do you... urk!"



The church was empty save for a two people in a confessions booth. The barrier separating the two men now destroyed as a blade shot through the priests neck. Blood poring out inside the confessional. The door opened as a man in a black cloak walked out.

He held a blade, soaked in blood. "Your flock will find guidance elsewhere father... for you have sinned..." the man licked the blood off of the sword. He seemed to be talking to the dead priest. "You see, Father... I know all about you... the lies, the guilt. You lost the faith years ago... preaching something that you do not believe. but it goes deeper..." He said walking over to the corpse of the priest. Lifting him up by the neck. Blood still dribbled out. "You claim to be a holy man... while sleeping around... ignoring your celibacy is one thing... but rape... you should have known better father..." He said throwing the man across the church, landing as if he was bowing towards the cross. "The however the sick irony father is that I was the one who caused such corruption... you should have never given in to those little thoughts." he said.

Clause started to walk away. "You will get your true judgment... but the grief you caused... it kept me entertained for a while... Goodbye father..."

The doors opened and the night air flooded in. Wings of black feathers sprouted from the young man's back as he flew out the door into the night. A demon of great power... however now he needed a new target...

((Any may join, mature for... well... blood for one... and possibly many other things. Character can be good, maybe a hunter of some sort out to get him. Neutral, maybe his next victim, or even evil. I don't care. But if you have any questions feel free to ask.))

She was walking away from the church, having a bad feeling about whatever was inside of it. She never liked churches anyway, but tonight, there was absolutely nothing good about that church. Whatever evil was inside of it, made the entire building give off a horrible vibe. Once she was about a block away, she sensed movement. She was the only one walking along this street, but the evil she sensed from the church was now airborn. She leaned against the nearest building, using the shadows to hide herself, and looked around, trying to see what the hell was airborn or flying.

She could usually pick up exactly what other creatures were just by their scent, and all she got from this one, was... demon. She only had to deal with one once before, and she really didn't want to again. Especially if he meant harm to her. She slipped into a nearby alley, expecting it to lead to a different street. However, fate gave her a dead end. When she turned toward the street again, the smell of demon was even stronger.

Clause looked around... he could tell when he was spotted. He located who was looking for him and smiled. Perhaps he wouldn't have to wait between victims for very long... usually it took him about a week or so... but this time... an up front encounter would be much... much more fun. He laughed as she ran into a dead end, his jet black feathered wings folded against his back as he landed behind her. "Lost, little girl?" he asked her. Smelling the air. "Mmm... you're a bit different... aren't you..." he teased. He looked her body up and down.

Riley turned around as soon as he landed behind her, and glared at him. "I don't get lost." she said, crossing her arms. She just wasn't used to this area after dark. Normally she had no problem passing through, but fate didn't want her trusting any area or anyone for too long. Of course, she had to expect something to happen sooner or later. Hybrids seemed to be the center of subconscious attention. "So what if I'm different..." she retorted, "if I weren't, I'd be pretty boring too." When she saw him look her up and down, she shifted her weight to both feet and let her hands hang near where she hid her weapons. Usually, she enjoyed a good time with a stranger, but this stranger smelled like blood, demon, and unforgiveness. Jumping into action, she attempted to move quickly around him to escape the alley, withdrawing one of her daggers at the same time, just in case he made a move to stop her.

Clause smiled as she ran off, he made no moves to stop her. He simply stood there watching her run... it was fine... her fate was sealed the moment he laid his eyes on her. She was his next victim. He laughed lightly. He didn't work very obviously, most of the time he would just encourage from the shadows, let the human's ruin their own lives... however with her, he had a different plan. "Run if you wish... it won't do you any good. I've seen your face... I can watch you wherever you go..." he said with a little laugh.

She immediately stopped running as soon as he said that he can watch her anywhere she goes. If what he said is true, she'd might as well not run. She stood still for a moment, wondering if she even had a way out of this one. "Look here, buddy boy.." she said slowly, not even looking around at him from the middle of the street. "I don't want whatever it is you're selling, mmkay pumpkin?" she took in a deep breath, and started walking away, back toward her work where she wouldn't put her brother into danger. "Ain't no way I'm anybody's victim." In her mind she looked back at him, and attempted to see into his mind, to see exactly what he was wanting with her.

He smiled, hearing her. "Don't worry, I'll let you go home tonight..." he said. "but I'm afraid that you do not have a choice..." he said. When she tried to see into his mind, he sensed it immediately. Blocking it, lightly, she was strong... all she could see so far is that he wanted to use her for something. He smiled at her. "Sorry girl... but don't worry... when I need you, I'll come for you..." he said to her. He spread his wings... flying away.

She glared at him, watching him fly away. He may have seen this side of me, she thought to herself but he has not seen my wolf form. she continued back to her work place, and told her boss about what just happened. Surely, he'd let her brother know and put her in some sort of safe house. Of course, she had to wait about an hour before everything was set to go.

One of her colleagues drove her over to a small bungalow-type house on the opposite side of town from the apartment she owned with her brother. She wasn't allowed to leave the house at night, and when she did leave, she was always escorted to and from where ever she went. Only two days later, she snuck out without telling anybody. She couldn't stand another day of supervision. Hell, she has always found ways to save herself, or her friends showed up just in time to save her.

After slipping off the property, she shifted into her wolf form, stealthily running with the shadows to find some food. She kept Clause out of her mind for the time that she shifted shape. It drove her nuts as it was staying in that house all the time.

The next few days were rather interesting... he hadn't counted on one like her... one with her abilities... he actually lost track of her... unable to see her, unable to tell where she went. To keep up appearances, he lived in a small building... an apartment. He held a common job... he was the man who would take sell tickets at a theater... an easy enough job, however nobody knew what he really was... That was who he was during the day... during the night, he searched for her... the one that... would be his victim... the person who was the most important in the world to him at that time. He could pick up faint trails... but nothing major... suddenly... he got it... her location... it was different, but it was her.

'Oh... she can shift what she is... but is she a werewolf?' he though to himself... watching her, keeping himself concealed. "Hmm... she is a different one... but... will her blood be what I am looking for? Master?' he asked in his mind... a response told him that she would work. But for now... he had to find out what mad her tick... who she was... what she feared... he was to remain in secret before he took her. Find out everything about her... who she worked for... then strike... her friends couldn't protect her from him...

She could somehow tell when she was being watched. It always made her nervous when she felt a presence around, but couldn't see anybody. It almost made her think it was another spirit wanting to tell her something, but that only happened right after the soul died. After she was far enough away from the house, and out of sight from anyone else, she shifted back into her human form, and went into one of the clubs that was still open.

Riley was wearing her favourite short, black dress and a pair of black stilettos. She hadn't bothered with any weapons tonight, not expecting anything to happen. She ordered one of the specialty sandwiches, ate, paid, then left again to go back to the safe house. There wasn't any point in sneaking back into the house. They would have noticed she was gone by now. She slowly walked up the drive, going back inside. She knew there would be hundreds of lectures waiting for her once they let her in. However, she needed sleep so she didn't really have any other choice.

With a little smirk, Clause was sure he got the information that he needed. She wasn't normal at all... and the corporation that she had backing her... that could be trouble... though he knew they wouldn't be able to kill him. She was strong, both in mind and body... she was the perfect candidate... however, he knew. However, she didn't have many weaknesses... something that he would have to prey on if he wanted to get her without much trouble... but if it came to violence... he was more than ready...

"Aww... little wolfie is all dressed up tonight..." he taunted her as he landed in front of her quickly, his black wings folding behind his back. "I suggest you don't give me any trouble and just come with me quietly..." he said.

Riley looked up at him, trying not to show her surprise. "What makes you think I'll actually follow you? Especially when I have no weapons on me?" she asked, though didn't care about the answer as she stepped around him and walked toward the steps that lead to the porch with the front door. "I didn't dress to impress you tonight." she winked at him just for spite. "So don't be flattered." she just really hoped he wouldn't use any silver against her. Her extreme sensitivity to it made its effects that much stronger. If it were about a foot away from her skin, her skin felt like it was literally in flames. When it actually touched her skin, it nearly paralysed her.

He took out a throwing knife. "I think you will follow me..." he said. The knife was made from pure silver. "I think you will find yourself in a world of pain if you don't..." he said. "And if you don't comply after that... your brother will be next..." he said with a glare. "You won't have to do much... just move to me... I will make you fall asleep... everything will take care of itself from there... don't make me use force girl... I'm not your everyday demon... you haven't faced anything like me before..." he said, glaring at her.

She had to see this coming. Riley stopped in her tracks as soon as he mentioned her brother. "Rhoan..." she whispered very quietly, not caring if he heard her or not. She turned around to face him, purposely swinging her hips as she walked back to him, but still kept at least five feet between them. If she got any closer, the burning on her flesh would intensify because of the silver knife. My colleagues have already seen him by now. she thought, though she half expected them to have been killed while she was out. "Think you can get away with me, without any more trouble?"

Again, not caring about the answer. Her eyes were watching him, but her senses were focussed on the silver knife. "I'd rather remain awake. Thanks for the warning." her voice was flat as she stepped around him back to the street, still keeping her distance from him.

"In fact, I know I can get away with you." he said. He watched her hips swing a moment. "Mmmm. It's a shame really... your body is so perfect, yet I have no plans to... well... satisfy any carnal desires..." he said. "And sadly, to make this trip, you won't be able to be awake..." he said. "He moved forward, the knife still in his hand, but relaxed, he didn't have it up at all... just down at his side, relaxed... He looked to her, up and down. "Go ahead... run in, get your friends... though any interference won't be taken kindly there Wolfie..." he said.

She continued backing away from him, toward the street. The people inside that house were not exactly her friends, but she wasn't about to correct him on that. There were more important things to take care of... like... oh, staying awake for starters. It was not on her priority list to let strangers force her into sleep. As she spoke, she removed her shoes so she could walk in her bare feet. "How bout, if I don't run in to get my friends, you let me remain awake? That seems more fair, don't you think?" she wondered, though she knew it wouldn't work that way. With guys like this, it never did. She ignored his words about not having made plans to satisfy his desires, as it was the last thing on her mind right now. It was still that damn silver that hung at his side.

"Hmm... sorry, no deal... it really isn't up to me..." he said. "In order to go to where we are going... you cannot remain conscious... otherwise you will feel the pain..." he said. "And frankly, any attempt to go into that house..." he threw the knife at the doorway, it stuck right next to the door. "Will hurt you... unless you try to run..." he said. "Go ahead... try to get around back... I don't want to have to force you... but like it or not... you're coming with me..." he said.

She tossed her shoes onto the porch, and said, "That house isn't safe anymore, so what would the point be." she said simply, then took off down the street where she expected to find the colleagues that said they'd be nearby for backup if needed. However, when she got to the next block, she still couldn't sense them anywhere. Shitty buzz... the one time I actually need backup...

She turned onto the next street, trying to find one witch's house that she knew was in this area. She helped her before with getting rid of demons, but Riley had a bad feeling that she wouldn't find her in time. Nonetheless, she continued racing at vampire speed, trying to find this one house, nearly forgetting that Clause was probably right behind her, ready to strike.

Clause raced behind her as fast as he could... however he didn't expect a chase... the speeds she was reaching was like that of a vampyre... he would check for fangs once he caught her... a mix between werewolf and vampyre... he had not expected this at all... However he kept up with her foot for foot, not letting her get away so easily. She was heading for some sort of backup... he wanted this to be a clean job... no kills... but with her being so persistent... his charms wouldn't work on one like her... magic was useless. He continued his chase, slowly catching up to her.

Just as she noticed him catching up to her, she looked over her shoulder to see exactly how close he was to her. Then, the most amazing thing happened. She lost her footing, tripped, and rolled to a painful stop on the rough gravel road. She lay there on the road, checking for cars(luckily there were none in sight and none audible nearby), then looking to see where Clause was. Her heart was racing, just because she had no idea how this demon was going to make her fall asleep for the time he needed. Her wonderful werewolf genes made her heal ten times faster than any human. Her vision was a bit blurry from the fall, so she blinked hard a few times, trying to get it back to normal.

Seeing her stumble, Clause thought of how lucky he was... he wasted no time, moving to her, pinning her to the ground. No cars in sight... his body was over hers. "You insisted on doing it the hard way... but don't worry... this wont hurt a bit..." he moved quickly pressing his lips against hers... she would feel herself become weaker as he drained her energy... she had a large amount of it. Soon, she wouldn't be able to keep her eyes open...

Riley fought against him, but even with her hybrid strength, she just couldn't make any difference. No matter how hard she tried. Shortly after he started kissing her, she could feel her muscles weaken. At first, she thought it was only going to be a little bit, but he did say she needed to be asleep. She could feel her energy escaping her body and entering his, and there was absolutely nothing she could do about it. Her eyes began to get heavy, and her muscles soon became so relaxed that she couldn't move them. Then, without warning, her eyes closed and she fell asleep shortly after. Since he took all of her excess energy, she'd be asleep for quite some time. She cursed him in her thoughts Damn......you... right as she was falling asleep. Thanks to this demon, she was now in the deepest sleep she's ever been in. She could only hope that when she woke up, if she woke up, she wouldn't need any hospital, or any immediate intake of blood. If she did, many humans would be sacrificed to satisfy her hunger.

Seeing that she was asleep, he moved away slightly, he looked down at her body. "Mmmm... you tasted pretty good..." he said. He lifted up her body. "I told you it wouldn't hurt... some actually find it rather pleasant." he said. His wings spread out... leaping into the air, with her. Flying off, all one would see were black wings... flying off. "My prize..." he said. "Maybe... my key out of all this..." he said. Clause used all the energy she gave him to reach where they were going... however, he felt tired when they arrived.

When she awoke she would find herself in a very dark room, however she would find a cage around her... strong bars, much more than any human could make. Clause rested himself... waiting for her to wake... feeling tired. "Let the games begin..." he said as he closed his eyes.
