Simply Unexpected

It was a slow piece for the most part but his hands jumped from one end of the keyboard to the other quickly. He played quietly and accurately as his hands moved from place to place, from the lower range, but his right hand staying mainly in the higher range, it was pretty difficult to do with Ryota sitting right next to him but he had shown his sister how to play like this so he could manage. The melody was quiet and slow and he moved his hands as gracefully as he could, making as few sharp movements as he could to try and see if it could actually calm Ryota down.

Ryota watched his hands move across the keyboard, being hypnotized by them almost instantly. He watched them move back and forth, hitting the keys, watching almost like a cat would watch a mouse. He felt a random urge to bite at the fingers, but decided against it. It deffinitly wasn't the best idea. Or the most normal. The music was more calming than he would have expected, and he was pretty surprised that Teioh had manages to find something to calm him down after about 5 minutes when everybody else had tryed for his entire life. His foot stopped tapping slowly and he slouched a bit more, his pose relaxing almost completely, although he was still a bit more high-strung than normal. It was an improvement though.

Teioh played the song with the smallest of frowns trying to concentrate and not knock Ryota over as he reached into the more extreme ranges. The 3 and a half minute long song ended rather quickly and he pulled his hands away from the keyboard shocked to see how much calmer Ryota had gotten just from that. He smirked, "Now, while you're not all wired up you should probably try and get to sleep." he said in a low voice he himself had mellowed out playing the music. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed lightly, "Unless you want to hear another song."

Ryota looked up once the song was done, shaking his head and blinking. He felt like he had been in a trance or something. He thought about Teioh's words for a moment before deciding. "I wanna hear another one!" he stated, crossing his arms. He felt like a little kid demanding for another story before he went to bed, but he didn't give a damn. He wondered briefly how Teioh had gotten so good at playing the piano, but he guessed it was years of practice. He himself would get messed up by which key was which. But not everybody was stupid like him. There were probably very few in the world who were.

Teioh laughed but nodded, the answer had surprised him though. He stood up to get another book knowing what he wanted to play. He saw his sister looking at him from the doorway he smirked at her but she just rolled her eyes and walked away. Teioh laughed as he pulled a book off the shelf and opened it to what he wanted to play, "This is from a video game I like, it's the theme for one of the characters. Tifa." he said with a smirk. He was sticking with the mellow songs for now he counted himself in before starting to play.

Ryota waited patiently -oddly enough for him- for Teioh to select more music, his shoulders slumped, and his foot-tapping forgotten. He hadn't calmed down that quickly in a long time. Maybe ever. The methods that the Akatsuki used worked, but they were violent and almost always ended up with him hurt or passed out, which didn't exactly count as calming. He realized how tired he was now. He had to admit, he was looking forewards to sleeping in Teioh's bed, as awkward as that may sound. Mostly because Teioh wouldn't be in it. He looked up as the brunette sat back down and explained what the song was. He just made a noise in response and watched his fingers again as he started playing, letting out a sigh.

Teioh continued to play his own eyes barely open as he was completely relaxed, he would've closed his eyes if he had known the song well enough. But he didn't so he kept his eyes as open as he could. He glanced sideways at Ryota for a moment and looked at how much more relaxed he seemed. Teioh couldn't help but be proud of himself for calming the hyper blond. He smiled slightly for a minute as he looked at the music then his hands then the music again, and over and over in that fashion, his eyes practically going around in circles. He played for until the song was done then he slowing pulled his hand away from the keys, the last note suspended on the air until he lifted his foot slowly off the pedal. "You wanna try getting to sleep now?" he asked Ryota.

Ryota's eyes were half closed as he listened to the music now, his head hanging. He hadn't been this relaxed in a long time. His eyes were slipping shut when Teioh finished the peice and spoke to him. He blinked a few times and looked up. "Wha- oh, yeah. . . sure. I'm really tired. . . " he yawned, standing up from the bench unsteadily. He walked to the stairs, not able to walk in a straight line now, and looked at them for a moment, biting his lip. He had a feeling he wasn't going to make it all the way up. "Crap" he mumbled before stepping up, using the wall for balance, trying not to kill himself by accident.

Teioh noticed how unsteady Ryota was on his feet at the moment after getting up. He cocked an eyebrow before getting up himself. He took the music off the piano and put it in the bench before he followed the obviously very drowsy Ryota towards the stairs. He stopped at the base of the stairs as Ryota tried to make his way up the stairs. Teioh wasn't stupid, he was going to fall, one way or another he was going to fall. He laughed lightly before he jumped up a couple steps to be next to Ryota. He snaked one arm around Ryota's waist and with his free hand grabbed Ryota's wrist and put Ryota's arm over his shoulder to keep him steady as he helped him up the stairs, knowing that Ryota would complain, and they could both end up at the bottom of the stairs now.

Ryota didn't realize Teioh was there until there was an arm around his waist, and a hand pulling his arm over his shoulders. "Urgh. . . noo. . . go 'way" he slurred, giving a half-hearted attempt to pull away. He stopped trying to climb up the stairs and devoted his concious thoughts to getting away from Teioh. He was weary of the brunette despite his half asleep state. He had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that they would probably end up on the floor at the bottom of the stairs, but didn't pay attention to that and kept tiredly struggling.

"Wow you're hopeless. Just let me help you up the stairs before you fall and crack your head open. I'm not going to just take advantage of some half asleep guy, how boring would that be. Especially on the stairs where my mom or my sister could see." Teioh said furrowing his brow and bracing himself better to keep from having them both fall down that stairs. He looked down then up then at Ryota, as he tested taking another step and pulling Ryota along with him, "Now come on, only like...7 more steps then I'll stop touching you." he said with a small grunt at trying to get the slightly taller blond to cooperate.

Ryota tried to pull away once more before giving up. "Ehh. . . whatever" he sighed wearily. He took one step up the stairs before losing his balance. His eyes widened and he flailed his free arm for a moment before clinging to Teioh desperately. He wasn't paying attention to where his hands went, just trying to get something to hold onto. He had no idea that he was groping the brunette, or else he would have immediaely moved his hand and screamed.

Teioh braced himself as Ryota lost his balance closing his eyes and grinding his teeth as he expected to fall, instead his eyes shot back open and he let out a gasp as he was groped, heat shot into his cheeks as he looked down at Ryota's hand on his crotch and he just sort of laughed awkwardly, "Well then...I hate you." he said shaking his head slightly, that had been the last thing he was expecting. Ryota though looked completely oblivious to where his hand was. He decided he'd rather not fall down the stairs and Ryota realizing where he was holding would make them fall down no questions. So he tried to get Ryota to continue up the stairs without pointing it out and trying subtly to get him to move his damn hand, though with his luck he was sure Ryota would realize it soon, one way or another.

"I hate you too jackass" Ryota muttered, trying not to fall, holding onto Teioh tightly, but not too tight, concious enough not to hurt him, for some reason. He hadn't reailzed where his hand was, and he followed the brunette, stepping up the stairs unsteadily with him. He was trying hard not to fall, adjusting his grip slightly. He had his eyes fixed on the stairs, taking a few more before his foot slipped and he tightened his grip on Teioh's crotch. He bit his lip and kpt his balance as best he could, tyring not to kill them both.

Teioh took a deep breath as they continued to walk but he had made no progress on removing Ryota's hand from his groin, then of course he had to tighten his grip earning himself a groan from Teioh as the brunette tilted his head back and shuddered, trying to control his stupid hormones. But he had trained his body otherwise, this could easily be enough to arouse him and he was sure Ryota would notice then. For now though he took in a sharp breath as he tried to get to the top of the stairs quickly, these stairs had never been this long before. "come on, come on..." he muttered under his breath very quickly.

Ryota had no idea why Teioh was groaning. He figured the mutters were just because he didn't want to have to help him up the stairs very much longer. He was probably pretty heavy. He shifted his hand again before realizing. He looked down to his hand and he let out a high-pitched shriek, pulling his hand away and yanking his arm away simotaniously. He let out a wail as he lost his balance from pulling away so quickly, and he started to topple down the stairs, grabbing whatever he could to keep him up, which just happened to be Teioh's arm.

Teioh squeaked slightly to hold back a moan when Ryota shifted his hand, but to Teioh's luck, Ryota noticed where his hand was. Ryota let out the girliest scream he had ever heard from a guy Ryota's age as he fell back, and again to Teioh's luck he grabbed Teioh's arm as he started to fall. "FUCK!" Teioh yelled loudly as they started tumbling down the stairs. Finally they stopped and Teioh was kind of shocked when there was no one on top of him but instead he opened his eyes and saw he was lying on top of Ryota. He blinked a couple times when he realized he was looking right at Ryota's groin. He laughed slightly but didn't move right away.

Ryota let out a yelp as he fell down the stairs, letting go of the brunette's shoulder in the process. He finally hit the floor, letting out a grunt, and then a yell when Teioh landed on top of him, knocking the wind out of him. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes, which widened at the sight in front of his face, which just happened to be Teioh's crotch. He screamed again and rolled over easily, dumping the brunette to the floor and hopping to his feet, although rather unsteadily. His face was red and his eyes wide, embarassed as to where his hand had been, and then how close his face had been.

Teioh rolled onto his back and groaned in pain this time, "You go off to bed yourself this time...I'm going to lie here for a while." he said waving Ryota away from him figuring he could get up and go to bed himself after Ryota was gone...and if he couldn't sleep he could go deal with himself first, it wasn't a big deal it was his house after all and he didn't care.

Ryota took a few steps backwards, grinning slightly sheepishly. "Heh, yeeaaahhh. Sorryyyy!" he dragged out the last syllable, scratching the back of his head, face still red. " 'Night" he added, before turning and dashing up the stairs, his foot slipping and causing him to fall onto one knee, but he got up and kept going, heading into Teioh's room and closing the door. He sighed and sat down on the bed, tired still. He shook his head, trying not to think of how awkward that had been. He lay down and closed his eyes, falling asleep almost instantly, not even bothering with blankets.

Teioh sighed loudly as Ryota disappeared up the stairs. He ran his hand through his hair before he sat up, luckily for himself he had calmed down. He stood up and stretched before heading upstairs. He stopped in front of his sisters room before looking down at himself, he needed something else to wear to be normally he would sleep in his underwear but not with his sister. He looked down the hall to the door to his room and sighed deciding he didn't care. He walked over opened the door, looked at Ryota for a moment before grabbing some sweat pants and a baggy shirt from his dresser. He changed in his room, pretty sure he wasn't going to wake up before he headed to his sister's room. He slid into the bed next to his already sleeping little sister and fell asleep quickly.

Ryota was sound asleep when Teioh came in to change his clothes. He slept like a log for the rest of the night. Well, as much of a log as he can be while he thrashed around. When he woke up he groaned, rolling over. As soon as he did his eyes flew open, having no idea where he was. He had never slept on something that comfortable in his life. He sat bolt upright, struggling to remember where he was. All he knew was that he was waking up in some random guy's bedroom (guessing it was a guy by looking around), and he had no idea what had happened the night before, AND he was wearing somebody else's clothes. He was about to panic when he remembered that he was at Teioh's. He sighed in releif before grumbling to himself. He wasn't sure what time it was really, so he went downstairs to see if anybody was awake.

Teioh's mom was coming inside when Ryota came downstairs, "Good morning Ryota." She said with a smile her fair blond hair pulled back in a ponytail, "Teioh is still asleep, I went and checked up on the two of them a few minutes ago." She said with a small laugh. "Come into the kitchen, I made pancakes." she said walking off expecting Ryota to follow her. She walked in and gave her husband a kiss on the cheek as she walked by him he smiled over the rim of his coffee and when he looked up his eyes rested not on his wife but on Ryota. His brown hair was combed back so it was out of his face he frowned and looked at his wife for an answer, "That's Teioh's friend, Ryota." she explained. He nodded, "Well it's nice to meet you Ryota." he said.

Ryota looked up when Teioh's mom walked in. "Good morning" he responded, smiling slightly. "Umm, alright. Thanks" he responded, shrugging and following her into the kitchen, stiffling a yawn. He grinned when he was introduced, trying to shake off his tiredness. "Nice to meet you too" he said, nodding and sitting down at the table, selecting a random chair. It was strange for him to be nice to people, and he had to reming himself that he was with a normal person's family, not his disfunctional home. He fell into silence, not exactly knowing what to say. He had to admit, it was a bit awkward.

Teioh's mom was at the counter for a while before she brought Ryota a plate with a small stake of thin, almost plate size pancakes. She put the syrup and utensils down as well, "I hope you like it." she said with a very kind smile. She could tell that this wasn't one of those friends of Teioh's just by looking at him. She turned to her husband, "Isn't it about time for you to go?" she asked. He looked at his watch and sighed. "Yeah." he replied folding up his newspaper and setting it down.

Teioh woke up from a foot in the ribs. He groaned as he opened his eyes and pushed his sisters foot away from him. She made a noise as she woke up as well. Teioh pushed her head, "Yooou awake!" he said annoyingly. She swatted his hand away from him and he laughed. "Come on Ana don't be like that." He said with a laugh shoving her a little more. She sat up her blond hair a complete mess and glared at him and he laughed he knew what was coming now. She jumped at him and they started fighting, they each had a hand clenched tightly in the hair of the other. Ana was landing punch after punch on Teioh's stomach while he bit her wrist and tickled her. He couldn't actually hurt his little sister. There was a quick kick to his tender area and he groaned as he fell onto the floor with a loud thud, he curled up and groaned more, "Cheap shot...cheap shot." he said. Ana looked very pleased with herself as she jumped over him and ran out the door and down the stairs. She noticed her dad leaving and jumped at him giving him a tight hug, "See you later daddy!" she said happily.

Teioh's mom looked up at the ceiling as there was a loud thud, she laughed, "Again. Teioh always ends up on the floor when they sleep in the same bed." she chuckled, her husband laughed as well. He had drained his coffee and put the mug in the sink as he moved to leave Ana threw herself at him and clung to his waist. He hugged his daughter back, "I'm not leaving quite yet. I'll wait and say bye to Teioh as well first." he said pushing his daughter off of him, "now go eat." he said, she nodded and ran over to sit across from Ryota and eat the food placed in front of her.

After a couple moments Teioh pulled himself off the floor and made his way downstairs after his sister. "Good morning Dad." he said as he saw his dad in the hallway getting ready to leave. "You leaving already." his dad gave him a look as he said that, "It's already 10 in the morning Teioh." he said. Teioh laughed, "Of course it is." He walked over as his dad got ready faster. He stood quite a bit taller then his dad and he gave him a hug before he left, "Well see ya later." He said with a smile. His dad nodded before leaving. Teioh made his way into the kitchen, "Go~od morning everyone." he said sitting down.
