Magnus laughed softly at the shy smile. "No problem. Wouldn't want you to die of embarassment or something" he teased, kissing his cheeck lightly. He had to admit, it would be quite amusing to see Alec walk around like that, but he decided not to be mean, and erase the evidence of their previous canoodling. As much as he loved the sight of it. He sighed with contentment, allowing his eyes to droop closed, enjoying the relazing moment they could have. Unless somebody decided to come slamming into the room again. He rested his forehead against Alec's, keeping his eyes closed.

Alec assumed Magnus was going to sleep. This took more out of him than it usually would. Magnus tested his endurance from time to time, claiming it as training on the occasion when he wanted to be funny. Magnus had proved that Alec could go for three rounds of heavy sex consecutively, blow jobs and hand jobs not included. Magnus said that was pretty average for people, which made him wonder how many Magnus could go for before he crashed. Alec memorized the shape of Magnus' face, his eyes, his mouth, his nose. He closed his eyes making sure he had an exact replica in mind before he let himself slowly drift off, thinking about his saved image.

Magnus opened one eye a crack after a moment, only to see Alec's closed as well. He assumed that he was tired, in his condition. It must suck to be pregnant. "Goodnight Alec" he murmured, closing his eye again. He wasn't sure if Alec heard him or not, but he didn't care. He let one hand slip up the back of his shirt, blue sparks seeking out any scratches on his back from his nails. He left his lip to be fixed for later, not wanting to move his arms from around Alec. He sighed lightly again, allowing himself to drift off. This would be the last time he would get to sleep with Alec for a while, so he was going to enjoy it.

Alec woke up repeatedly, never knowing what time it was, and once noting that his door was open. Someone, probably, hopefully Izzy, had walked in and forgot to close the door. He left it alone, whoever it was had probably spread the news that they were sleeping. When his eyes opened again, he felt that the door had been closed. Having been in the room as long as he had, he could feel when the door was open because it would feel more spacious in the room. Now it felt secure and closed. He laid there and watched Magnus a couple times, making a face once at the discomfort he felt from movement in his stomach. He ignored that as he tried to keep his mind from thinking too much, or his heart beating too fast, which would keep him up. Eventually he stayed awake, thinking about how the next two months would proceed.

Magnus slept soundly, waking only a few times. When he did, the fact that he could feel Alec's body, and that he was comfortable, were enough to send him back to sleep. He tended to only move around alot in his sleep when he was alone. While sleeping with somebody he tended to stay in one spot, just occasionally shifting. After awhile, he wasn't sure how long he had been sleeping, he woke up again and cracked his eyes open, only to see that Alec was already awake. He stretched lazily and stiffled a yawn, kissing Alec on the cheek after. "Good morning. Or afternoon. . . or evening. . . what time is it?" he muttered, blinking a few times to clear the sleep from his eyes.

With Magnus finally awake, Alec stirred from their position. Now came the annoying popping of his back. After that had been scowled at, he looked around, then looked out the window. "Appears to be very late at night or very early in the morning, either way, we'll need a clock to officially say." They also had to be quiet either way, in case people were sleeping still, or just off to bed. Alec wasn't that sure what they'd do now, because they had rested enough and couldn't be loud with whatever they were going to do. It could get a little boring that way, certainly for Magnus, who loved to be loud.

Magnus thought about the answer for a moment, concidering the time groggily. He propped himself up on his elbow, rubbing the back of his other hand over his eyes, wondering how bad his makeup was after sleeping on it. He moved his hand from his face and flipped open the phone that was suddenly in his hand, from the bag on the floor that still contained the Book of White. Pushing a button, he looked at the glowing numbers on the outside. "Hmm. Its three. God, I never actually wake up at this time. It's normally going to sleep" he sighed and sat up properly, planting one hand behind him so he didn't fall back on the blankets like he wanted to. He frowned at the phone in his hand, thinking. He had no idea what time he was supposed to be showing up in Idris, and he still had to pack his things, just so he didn't have to waste his magic every day conjuring things. But he was sure he still would. There was no way he could bring his whole wardrobe with him.

"I get up around this time sometimes. Or go to bed. Whatever's happened during the day varies when I sleep." Magnus varied it too. He'd go to Magnus' place and they'd stay up late, and he'd run on maybe three or four hours of sleep and then do it all over again. Because he didn't get to do anything now, he got plenty of sleep, and he'd almost miss it once he could go back to a routine. "Well, today's the day you have to go to Idris. What will you do now?" he asked, since he didn't even know what he'd be doing. Maybe he'd go make some coffee for them. He needed something to read to pass his mornings. Isabelle suggested him trying something new, but he didn't know what was new, or he didn't understand it anyway.

"Going to bed at that time is understandable, but how can you bear to get up at that time?" Magnus asked, raising an eyebrow. "Ugh. I don't want to go. Can somebody else go, impersonating me?" he asked, running a hand through his half-matted spiky locks. He really needed a shower. That was about all he had time for. Coffee, pack some necissities, shower, get ready, make a portal. Time with Alec shoved in there as much as he could fit it. "Hmm, when I go home, do you want to come with me? I'll be leaving from my house, so you could do whatever there after I leave" he shrugged, looking down at Alec and smiling slightly. He was going to have to take a few pictures with him.

"I'm not sure anyone could impersonate you without the Clave knowing." Or wait....Alec wondered if that was rhetorical. "Yeah, that'd be fine," Alec agreed, wanting to spend as much time as he had to fill, or try to fill, the next two months that he wouldn't have Magnus. Being in his house later will either make him feel better because it was Magnus' place, most familiar and the most memories of them there, or make him feel worse, because it would lack Magnus. He could feed and play with Chairman Meow while Magnus was out too. He'd even spend some time here instead of going back to the Institute some days. As long as he kept his cell phone charged it'd be fine. Isabelle or his parents could check on him whenever they wanted.

Magnus chuckled as Alec answered his first question, which he hadn't been looking for an answer to. "You really are too cute sometimes" he grinned, kissing Alec on the cheek before getting to his feet. He nodded when his lover agreed to come home with him. Snapping his fingers, two cups of steaming coffee appeared, one black, and one covered in whipped cream and chocolate, with insane amounts of sugar in it. Holding out the plain one for Alec, he sipped at his own, letting out a content sigh. If he had to get up this early, and then not get coffee, he might have died.

Alec could have easily just started some coffee at Magnus' place since he usually knew where Magnus kept the coffee pot, even when Magnus didn't always know. Alec shrugged mentally and thanked Magnus before taking a sip of his own coffee. He took a look at what Magnus had and didn't even raise an eyebrow this time, because he knew his warlock liked his coffee sweet. Alec liked it strong, like most other Shadowhunters. Isabelle went either way with strong coffee to sweet coffee. "Why do you want really sweet coffee that probably doesn't even taste like coffee in the morning?" Alec asked, never having had the stuff anyway. He couldn't imagine his bitter, dark coffee tasting like candy. He didn't know if he wanted to.

Magnus licked some of the whipped cream off the top of his, smiling at the taste. It was his favorite. "Hm? Because it tastes good. Coffee is bitter, and this is sweet, as you said. So I get the sweetness, and the caffine to wake me up still" he explained, shrugging. He had a sweet tooth, he was sure that was clear to anyone who knew him. He grinned slightly and held his cup out. "You want a taste?" he offered, not sure if Alec would want to or not. He couldn't read minds, unless he was going through somebody's thoughts. As awesome as that would be. He would love to hear what was going through Alec's mind half the time.

Seeing as he'd never try that kind of coffee without persuasion, and seeing as he wouldn't be seeing Magnus for two whole months, he agreed, hesitantly. "Um...sure," he said, taking another sip of his coffee. Maybe if Magnus' tasted bad the lingering dark taste in his mouth from his coffee would dull it, maybe. "When's the last time you had just dark coffee? I could have you drink some of mine if I'm drinking some of yours." He took the offered cup and looked at the contents of it inside. A lot of stuff he'd never eat anyway. Well, being pregnant and craving whatever, he might like it. He took a sip, not sure what to think about the mixed flavors of sweet and what was supposed to be bitter. He thought about the taste a moment before deciding he could live with it, and handed it back to Magnus. He shrugged. "It's all right. Maybe something to try again later." He offered his own coffee out. "Go ahead, kill the sweet taste in your mouth with this plain coffee." Alec had just covered the bitter taste in his mouth with the sweet stuff.

Magnus laughed at how hesitant Alec sounded. It wasn't as if his coffee was going to bite him. If there was anything in the room Alec had to worry about biting him, it was his sparkly boyfriend. "Probably. . . eight years ago? Before they started selling this stuff" he replied, motioning to his cup. He laughed again when Alec said it was all right. He didn't understand how someone could not like everything piled on their coffee like that. "Fine" he replied, taking the cup and putting it to his lips, taking a swig of the hot, bitter liquid. He inwardly cringed, but outwardly showed no sign that he didn't like it, simply smirking at Alec to cover it up. "I don't know how you can stand something so bland" he shook his head, holding the cup out and licking some whipped cream off the top of his drink.

"It's the same concept of why you would want something so sweet," Alec said, only a tad disappointed that his fiance didn't show much more emotion than just drinking a glass of water. "Eight years is a long time," he mused, imagining eight years of just drinking sweet, peppy coffee. Magnus must have been doing something to keep his teeth so white. For as long as he's lived and how much coffee he must have drank, he'd have yellow teeth, right? He must be whitening them. Or magicking them. That must have been it. Or maybe his teeth were immune to the eventual effects of caffine.

Magnus nodded, thinking about it. "True, true" he agreed. He still didn't get how someone could enjoy something so boring. Although, looking at Alec next to him, it kind of fit. Their clothes were complete opposites. His looked like a crayon box exploded on him, and Alec's looked like he was trying to blend in to a dark room. "Eight years is a long time. But every two months or so they come out with something new. Lattes, cappaccinos, iced coffee, anything under the sun that might taste relatively good. So there's always something new to choose from" he shrugged, picking up his bag and throwing his phone inside it. "So, ready to leave, or do you need something first?" he asked, turning to Alec and tilting his head.

Alec looked around the room, thought about it a moment, and couldn't think of anything he needed to bring. "I'm pretty sure it's all good over here," he said, "I'm not sure of anything I'd need to bring." He never brought things with him anyway, except a stele and a concealed weapon. He was just going to Magnus' place, so all he needed was his stele. He didn't get to use that many runes. Especially not the healing ones. Who knew what he'd need it for, but steles were known to help people in last resort situations.

Magnus nodded, running a hand through his hair and cringing. He really needed a shower. "Mm'kay. I'll just make a portal then and we can go" he said, drinking more of his coffee. He was much more awake after some caffine, even if he wasn't even done one cup. He got through normally two in the mornings. Unless he needed an extra boost, which he just might this morning. He opened the portal with a flourish of his free hand before taking Alec's hand with it. He brought the hand to his lips and kissed it, grinning and pulling him through the portal with him.

Alec had time to grin sweetly at Magnus as they went through the portal. He had developed a habit of usually closing his eyes while in the portal. He would close his eyes leaving one place and open his eyes in another place. Not necessarily a good habit he had, because if he had to portal to some place he could get ambushed, he wouldn't want his eyes opening at the last moment. Now was as good a time as any to work on practicing that. He kept his eyes focused on Magnus, seeing him in the Institute one moment and their place the next. "You're going to take a shower now, huh?" he asked. Maybe he'd go sit on the couch while he waited for Magnus to get out.

Magnus smiled at the expression on Alec's face before they walked through the portal. He knew that the Shadowhunter always kept his eyes closed while in the portal, a slightly strange habit, so he was a bit surprised to see Alec watching him as they walked through. "What, trying to get enough of me before I leave?" he asked teasingly, grinning. "Hmm, yes. There's no way I can get anything done with my hair unless I do" he sighed, pulling his shirt right over his head. That might have been a bit of a lie, but it had some truth to it. He could fix his hair when it was like that, but it never looked as good. He kicked off his shoes, concidering stripping right there, but deciding to wait until he got to the bathroom. "MM'kay, I'll be quick. Be right back" he smiled at Alec and walked to the bathroom, stepping over his little white cat as he went.

Alec sat down on the couch while he waited for Magnus to return from the shower. He clicked his tongue to get the cat's attention, and the cat came to him, hopping up on the couch and sitting in his lap. The cat would have come over to him anyway if he hadn't called him over sooner or later. The cat rested his head oddly against his bugling stomach, the other ear twitching. The cat perked up suddenly and half sat up, Alec waited expectantly for him to tell him something. He looked down at the cat, and instead of the cat doing something as he expected, his stomach moved, or rather, his shirt indicated movement from his stomach. He was completely bewildered, not knowing what it was. It proceeded once, twice more. Alec waited for Magnus to get out so he could ask him.

Magnus put his coffee down on the counter and stripped off his pants, then turning the taps on, adjusting the tempurature before stepping under the spray, letting out a content sigh. He washed his hair, getting all the glitter and gel out, then using conditioner on it. He washed his old makeup off, making sure he was completely clean before turning the taps off and grabbing a towel. He hoped he hadn't left Alec waiting too long, but the cleaning process was necessary. Now he would be starting off fresh, with his body like a blank canvas to dress up. He wrapped the towel around his waist and grabbed his coffee, walking into the main area of his flat, smiling at the sight of Alec and his cat sitting on the couch. "Hm, step one done" he said in greeting, taking a sip of his still-warm coffee.

Alec jumped up off the couch as fast as his body would let him, which, in hindsight, really wasn't that fast. He could do this seven seconds faster if he didn't have more weight to him and aching joints. Especially his hips and knees. He rushed over to Magnus, Chairman Meow at his heels. "Magnus!" he said, trying not to look too alarmed, though he was rather shocked still. "My stomach is moving and I don't know why." To add to that dramatic effect, his stomach moved again, and Alec stared, confused as ever.

Magnus blinked a few times when Alec jumped up, having no idea what provoked that reaction to seeing him. He could see the slightly shocked look and raised an eyebrow. "What-" he started, only to stop to listen to what the Shadowhunter was saying. He blinked a few more times, looking down at Alec's stomach, before a slow smile spread across his face and he laughed. "That would be the baby moving, Alec" he explained, grinning and stepping closer, placing his hands lightly on his fiance's stomach. "Around this time you can see and feel movement as the baby shifts or kicks" he grinned, a bit unsure why the thought thrilled him so much. He had always wondered why the idea had people on tv grinning like idiots, but he guessed now that it was just the fact that something you had helped create was moving around.
