Card Tricks (May be M/Violence)

'I wouldn't kill you... some mage's use their power for a darkness... while it is a power based on a darkness... I have not succumbed to it.' he said explaining a bit. He sat down next to her. He drank a little bit. 'A shape shifter... I've heard of your kind. But, I've never met any.' he said in his mind. He switched to his voice. "Well... I'm not sure. I might stay here for a while, but I will most likely travel a bit. I don't know though." he said.

"Yeah... I'm... always on the move... If I settle down for too long..." he said with a small smile. "Well... things happen..." he said. He went back to his mind. 'What do you mean the last... but I know what you mean. I've almost been hung on more than one occasion. I've survived though... I'm a mage... a magic user. Throughout history, you have probably heard of wizards. That is what I am... something like that anyways. I mean, my methods are different... but it steams from the same dark power.' he said through his mind.

Last of her kind... a shape shifter... things of legends have been appearing all over the world... yet he was looking at the last one of what she was. He felt honored just to be in her presence. He knew that there were other mages about like him... but... twisted...evil... some were good, but others succumbed to the darkness within. He started to eat a bit. No need to ponder on the mysteries of life too hard... "What about you?" he asked. "Where are you going?" he asked.

"Well..." he said with a small smile. That little wink made him laugh a bit. "What are you looking for in a home?" he said. "I mean, what would you like to have in a home... a place to settle down." he asked. He was curious. Just getting to know a bit more about her.

Jacob knew what she meant... he knew that she was running. He was as well... many states, many places already had thrown him out. Bounties were already on his head with a few hunters on his trail. He knew that he could stay, but it would never be for long. "Don't worry, you will find a place... nobody can spend their whole life continuously moving." he said. "At least... one can hope.

Her next question came as a surprise to him. She was actually willing to stay with him. Nobody had ever asked something like that. "I... well... Yes... you sure can. I mean, I have a room here... only one bed, but I don't mind taking the floor, with some covers, its more comfortable than the dirt." he said. He switched to speaking with his mind. Since he was far from being fully recovered it was starting to wear on him now. 'I know what you mean... I wouldn't mind being around someone who actually knew who I was... and what I am.' he said. "I plan on staying in town for another day... but after that I'm heading west, to the plains." he said.

"If you insist... but the bed is always open if you want to switch." he said. 'I'm accustomed to sleeping like that as well... on the floor I mean... or rather the dirt.' he said in his head. 'You won't be a burden, don't worry about that. Company is welcome to me. Especially... those who do not run.' he said. 'Two outcasts traveling together, sounds good to me.' he said to her in his mind. He laughed a bit. "Well, if you are tired, we can retire to the room for the night." he offered.

Jacob smiled. He stood up and took her arm. They were all paid up... He thought and laughed slightly before taking her arm and escorted her. "You know, I think that I have never acted this formal." he said as they exited the saloon. He took her to the inn, he looked about, not many people were out and about. Once they were at the inn Jacob took her into his room. "There we go... feel free to get some rest." he said. "Or wash up, whichever you prefer." he said.

She was asking permission. He nodded. "Of course." he said. "I don't mind." he said. Moving to the bed he sat down and undressed a bit. He removed his shirt and looked down at his markings. Would that make her uncomfortable? No... he hoped not. He was just in his boxers when he laid down. "A bit more rest and you will have a full powered mage on your hands... think you can handle that?" he teased.

Jacob was about to lay down when he seen her starting to undress. He tried not to stare, but she was very beautiful. His eyes would slip to her form every now and then. Her curves, her beautiful body. She then changed, something that he expected. He smiled a bit though. "No need to appologise... I don't mind." he said. 'And don't worry about me. I know I can handle you.' he teased back. He laid down. He started to go to sleep.

((Speaking of sleep, I have to go, see ya!))

'We'll see' she said.
She ran as fast as her legs would take her guiding over rock and around trees as they chased her. She felt the air close around her as their bullets flew into the trees next to her, she could hear the yells and barks of their dogs. She panicked and ran. Her legs moved a little as she slept and the odd time she would whimper.

Jacob laughed a bit before finally nodding off.
His dream was oddly similar. He too was running. Just running as fast as his legs could carry him. He heard gunshots, he heard dogs... that was how he screwed it up... dogs can smell magic, some are trained to sniff out mages. He wasn't careful. He just kept running. He took out his cards and started chanting a spell... but it was too late. He was hit, a bullet sunk into his skin.

His eyes shot open and he sat up, breathing heavily. He calmed himself down... Just a dream. His eyes wandered to the wolf sleeping on the floor. Seeing her legs moving, it was like she was running, or trying to. He just sat and watched her for a moment.

As she started changing, Jacob diverted his gaze a bit, but... Still, he snuck a few peeks when before she woke. When she whimpered he felt bad for her. They were both having nightmares it seemed. When she woke, his gaze diverted until she was covered. Her words surprised him though. "What... what do you mean?" he asked. "What did you see?"
