Luna Online: Warriors at Heart

Azlada was sure after a moment that he felt eyes on him, and he glanced up from the mesmerizing flames, to see Arxingall glaring at him. Big surprise. He tended to see him quite often, as much as he disliked it. Sometimes it was nice to see a familiar face, but at the same time, he found it necessary to feel anger towards the other elf. He raised his hand, flipping him off, before dropping his hand and his gaze, looking back to the bright flames. He hoped the bird would be done soon, but he couldn't be sure how long it had been cooking for.

Disregarding the middle finger that held malicious intent, Arxingall returned the things that he was keeping to his bag, then sold the things he wanted to get rid of to Dina, who gave him a wink and blew a kiss. Humoring her, Arxingall just nodded at her action, leaving her smiling like a school girl. Should he stick around for the food? When was the last time he ate? Not recent enough to skip another meal. There wasn't a good enough reason to stick around Moon Blind Forest until Equpos cooked another animal. He needed to eat at least once this week, and besides, why should he leave just because some idiot decided to show up where he was too?

Azlada wasn't surprised when his finger was ignored. Arxingall wasn't the type to get angry very easily, but he took pride in being able to irritate him. He raised an eyebrow as he nodded at Dina, who seemed to be thrilled by that. He was pretty sure all of the merchant girls were desperate for attention, so he ignored them for the most part. He leaned back on his hands, sticking his legs out straight in front of him, his wings fluttering lightly as he breathed. He caught Arxingall looking at the meat cooking over the fire, and hoped that he wouldn't be staying to eat. A part of him wanted the lavender-haired elf to stay so he could have somebody to talk to other than the two who pretty much lived there, but at the same time he just wanted him gone.

Almost wanting to hesitate on walking to the fire, Arxingall strode over and sat on the other side, focusing on anything but Azlada. He was going to stay and eat, who said he had to make conversation with this elf? He polished his bow as a legit excuse, pretending to be wrapped in the maintenance of his weapon. His wings drooped slightly as he stopped paying mind to keeping them up and beating. He didn't glide all the time, only when he was in a hurry. Wings, on a windy day, proved themselves quicker than running or sprinting sometimes. Other times they required more energy to beat than to just run it.

Azlada frowned as the other elf sat down on the opposite side of the fire, pulling out his bow and polishing it. He wasn't sure whether it was an excuse not to talk to him or not, but he didn't really care. He didn't exactly want to talk to Arxingall either. He glanced at his own sword, which was lying in his lap, but didn't bother to do anything to it. He pulled out a crystal of protection and converted it, glad to see some hp potions in its wake. He was low on those, but didn't feel like buying any from Dina. He was hoping dinner would be soon, and then he could kill some more orcs before retiring for the night. He was getting pretty tired.

The paladin approached the fire after he looked around the camp once for monsters. He greeted the two elves at the fire, probably highly unaware they knew each other and considered each other rivals in a sort. He poked at the cooking meat, then took it off the spit after three turns, and cut it up on a clay platter from one of the many boxes around the camp site. He announced it was done and cut up, wand took a piece for himself and one for Dina. Arxingall took a medium sized piece, and would possibly take more before he left. Maybe he'd take some and dry it out so he could eat it later.

Azlada looked up as Equpos took the bird off the spit, and the meat stirring up the air made his mouth water at the scent. He was starving, and it looked so good. He got to his feet as Equpos took some for he and Dina, and then Arxingall took some for himself. He stepped forward, taking a large piece, not having eaten in a few days. He sat right back down where he was, focusing his eyes on the flames that bore no meat anymore, but the bright crackling fire was enchanting to him. He watched intently as he ate, ignoring the prescense of the others as he ate.

Finishing the piece he had grabbed in silence, Arxingall stood to grab another piece, something to go. Where was his next location? He wanted training in before he went to sleep tonight, Moon Blind Swamp and Red Orc were very bad places to sleep. As long as he was by people though, it was safer. They stayed there every night, after all. Someone was always up for a shift though. Sometimes in exchange for sleeping there safely, the usual 'residents' would have the visitors take a shift. Arxingall wouldn't mind too much taking a shift in Red Orc, except it was unnerving for him. What was Azlada doing tonight? he wondered, not even sure why he cared to know. He glanced over at the other elf, wondering.

Azlada finished his piece a bit after Arxingall and he got to his feet, picking up his sword. He was going to finish off his quest with the orcs, and then head to bed. He was planning on spending the night there, where Equpos and Dina were, taking a watch if he needed to. He brushed his bangs back, the slightly longer hair beside that getting in his way as well. It was too short to put in the ponytail, but too long to count as his bangs. It was rather annoying. He wrinkled his nose before turning to the darkness. "I'll be back in a bit" he announced, in case anybody cared, and he stepped out of the camp into the night.

Where was he going, Arxingall wondered? Bathroom? Getting something? Azlada had weird purposes for doing things, he was concluding. The blonde had been playing with his hair. Again, for what purpose? Messing with it as he had hadn't done much. It just shifted it a bit before it fell back into place. Did he always do things that were pointless? Not that Arxingall meant that in a particularly bad way, but he was curious. Whio piqued his curiosity these days anyway? Few people did, since most of them weren't worth it. Azlada was another one of those hot headed fighters out there, what was so special about him?

Azlada flew past the giant eyebats, killing a few that were in his way, before heading over to the orcs in that area. It was normally a safe place to train, even at night. It didn't scare him much, having done it so many times before. He killed off the 15 he needed within five minutes, using an mp potion before heading back, killing a few more eyebats on his way and heading to Equpos. "Finished~" he said happily, accepting his reward and the praise that was always given after a quest was finished.

Ah, a quest, it seemed, Arxingall managed to conclude when he came back. Why had he stuck around so long to find out why he had gone? Well, it didn't matter, he was telling himself. He was just looking to see where he could go that Azlada wouldn't be. He was going to probably leave now because of Azlada's optimism of turning in assignments from other people. It was annoying him to an extent. What did he accomplish by staying here now? Maybe he should leave. It'd be better to go now than to stay and start a fight that was highly probable to arise. He stood to leave, sure he had done every assignment here for him, and would need to go to the next area to get quests.

Azlada was a bit surprised to find the other elf still there when he got back. He figured that Arxingall would have left as soon as possible, to stay away from him. He gave him a slightly odd look as the lavender-haired individual seemed to be figuring out what to do. Or more, where to go. "Well I'm heading to sleep. Wake me up if you need me to keep watch" he said to Equpos, not waiting for an answer as he dropped his sword by the opening of one of the tents, lying down and getting comfortable, ignoring Arxingall once more as he closed his eyes to drift off, needing his sleep.

Equpos had actually looked as if he'd been about to protest about that, but Azlada had dropped down too fast to hear the answer. Equpos looked to Arxingall with an almost pleading look. He had needed to sleep, Arxingall could see the exhaustion in his face. Grudgingly, Arxingall agreed. "I'll keep watch," he said, his mind made up by technically Azlada that he was staying here and keeping watch for a few hours. Maybe he'd make Azlada keep watch in a couple hours so Equpos got more shut eye. Dina didn't keep watch, probably, she got distracted too easily with things, or would probably scream at the top of her lungs if something little approached them, making everyone wake up for no reason.

Azlada hadn't exactly cared if anybody was going to protest, but he heard Arxingall say he would keep watch. He opened one eye, giving the other elf a curious look before sighing lightly and closing it agian, hoping to fall asleep quickly. He was used to sleeping in the heavy, uncomfortable armor, and he ignored the noises it made when he moved. He just didn't hear it anymore. It was his second skin. Within a few minutes he was asleep, his face falling into the peaceful expression he rarely wore, unless he was asleep.

Arxingall looked at everyone quietly settling down for the night, Dina and Equpos going to bed in their tents. Azlada didn't seem to mind sleeping on the ground with all of his armor on. Apparently he didn't take it off before he went to bed. That had to be uncomfortable. However many of pounds of metal or steel clasped around him as he slept. Sitting by the fire, hands warming up from the fire, Arxingall listened to the area around him. The cries of fighters in the distance, the roars and screeches of beasts from afar, and the close sounds of sighing, breathing, and shuffling around the camp. The quiet night air made him gaze up at the sky, the same sky everyone lived under, and looked up to.

Azlada slept through the noises of the night, something everybody was used to now. Occasionally a person who was frightened by it was run into, and they asked for him to kill off a bunch of whatever scares them. He was fine with it, as long as he got some kind of reward for it. A bit later, an especially loud screech woke him from his sleep and he was jolted awake, his hands immediately going to his sword as he half sat up, heart pounding before he realized that it was too far off to be a danger to them yet. He sighed and shook his head, sitting up properly and looking at Arxingall, his face illuminated by the fire.

The night had been mostly the same as every night. Arxingall went over his thoughts, what he was doing later, how much supplies he would need if he went here or there, and where he'd go after. Where would Azusa go, he usually asked himself. Red Orc was calling him recently, something was there, and he didn't know what. A loud cry in the night brought him out of his thoughts, he stood quickly, bow at ready. Azlada had been startled out of his sleep as well. As Arxingall looked to where it had come from, he waited a moment before deciding it was too far away to be dangerous just yet. "Your watch," he told the other elf from the opposite side of the fire pit.

Azlada sighed as the other elf spoke, and he picked up his sword again, moving closer to the fire. "Alright" he said, too tired to argue. He was just hoping he didn't fall asleep on his shift. He was pretty sure he had been sleeping for a while, but not long enough to keep going on. In a few more hours he would wake up Equpos for his watch. He slouched as much as his armor would allow him to, resting his elbow on his knee, and his head on his hand, staring into the fire. He knew that the reflection of the flames could be seen in his eyes, and he had always thought it was a pretty cool effect.

Could he be placing his trust and technically his life in the hands of some twit with ADD and would more than likely fall asleep on the job of watching out? Azlada probably would give in as soon as he felt like he was nodding off, and he'd wake Equpos, who needed more sleep than Azlada had gotten. Arxingall had been more generous with the time than he thought he'd be giving, but waking up Azlada hadn't been worth it. He laid on the ground, further from the fire. His bow was laid out next to him in the event that he needed to jump up and fight. He didn't trust Azlada completely with this simple task.

Azladad was slightly surprised that he was actually being trusted with this by Arxingall, who didn't seem to trust him at all. He would keep himself awake though, not really wanting to be eaten while he slept. He raised his free hand to pinch his cheek, wincing slightly as he did so, hoping to keep himself awake this way. He looked from the fire to Aringall when the lavender haired elf lay down, a bit farther from the fire. He zoned out a bit while looking at him, not exactly noticing that he was staring.

Arxingall felt eyes on him. For some reason, most people could feel when someone was staring at them, and Arzingall, unsure if he wanted to meet that gaze, curled himself into a tighter ball. If the feeling persisted, he'd tell Azlada to knock it off. What reason did the other elf have to stare at him? The other elf was probably just glaring at him, though glares felt a bit different from staring. It didn't feel hostile at the moment. He waited a moment longer before sighing, and sitting up, lazily regarding the other elf who was indeed staring at him with a distant look. So maybe he wasn't staring technically, maybe he was thinking, either way, Arxingall wanted him to quit. "Look at the fire, or anything else, but eyes off me," he said lowly, this time going to wait until he confirmed the elf wasn't holding focused or unfocused gaze on him.

Azlada was lost in his thoughts, not exactly thinking about much. His mind was more blank with tiredness, until something moved, that he was looking at. He blinked, focusing on Arxingall with a frown as the other elf spoke to him. "What?" he asked, confused. He wasn't too sure what Arxingall was talking about, not aware that he had been actually staring. "I wasn't looking at you. . . was I?" he sounded unsure, and he blinked a few times, sitting up a bit more.

Blinking once, getting it that now Azlada had been just day dreaming on whatever, Arxingall just shook his head. "Doesn't matter now. Just, look somewhere else," he half asked, half told. He wasn't that tired, but he could do with the sleep anyway. "Equpos could use the sleep, so if you care, let him sleep as long as you can." He didn't think Azlada would understand that unless he told it to him, since Equpos wouldn't make a fuss if Az woke him up any time soon. He didn't know enough about Azlada to know if he'd care, but he was sort of asking, so maybe the other elf would at least try harder now with that fact in mind.

Azlada rolled his eyes, looking away as he was told. It was slightly awkward being caught staring at somebody like that. Just a bit embarassing. Not that he should have a reason for feeling embarassed about being caught staring, right? He was unsure about that as he glared into the fire again. "Yeah, whatever. I won't wake him up for a while yet, don't worry" he sighed, wishing he could just wake him up now and go to sleep. Equpos didn't actually go out and fight all day like the rest of them, he just sent people out to do the work for him.
