Luna Online: Warriors at Heart

Azlada nodded, letting out a content sigh, looking down at the bed for a moment, shifting so that he could pull the blankets over himself, to keep him warm while he slept. "Mm, goodnight then" he hummed, drawing the covers up to his chin and curling up, like he normally did when he slept, but this was much easier, since he wasn't wearing all the bulky armor that restricted his curling while he slept. He knew that this was going to be the best sleep he got in a while.

Arxingall laid against Azlada's body, knowing he'd be getting more sleep now in one go than he usually got. He planned to leave before Az got up though, he'd ask his sister when he found her how long she was staying, and if she would find Az to tell him he'd left so he didn't worry. By the time Arx would get up, his clothes would be dry, and the rain would more or less be over, unless more rain was planned, but he'd find that out later.

He almost felt like he was betraying Azlada as he was sneaking out of the bed, dressing in dry clothes and dry leather armor, grabbing his bag, and slipping quietly out the door. He made sure there was no movement on the other side once he was out. He walked down the halls, hoping his sister was still here. He almost thought she wasn't until he saw her walking out of a room, looking around. They met each other's gaze once more, her giving him a knowing smile. "Leaving early?" she asked him, looking in the direction he came from with no blonde following. "I thought he was your boyfriend, why are you ditching him?"

Arxingall couldn't answer the last part since he didn't quite know himself. "If you're staying long enough, could you let him know I left?" Though the other would figure it out once he woke up to nothing belonging to Arx in the room, and of course, no Arx.

"I dunno. What're you gonna do for me?" his sister challenged, willing to tell him anyway. She could make it sound like her brother had lost interest in him or something, just to spice it up. "No, I'll do it anyway," she said with that thought in mind. "Ta-ta." She walked away, leaving him alone in the hall. He left as well, not taking another glance at the door he'd left.

Azlada barely stirred as his boyfriend left the bed, leaving him alone in the room. He curled into a tighter ball when his heat source was gone, eyes remaining closed. He woke up a few hours later, letting out a content sigh at the great night's sleep he'd had. It was a moment later that he realized something was wrong. He could hear nothing at all moving in the room, and there was nothing giving off heat in the bed with him. His eyes snapped open instantly and he sat up, looking around the room wide-eyed. Arx was gone, and the only possesions left in the room were his own. He was still for a moment, in a bit of shock. "Wh-at?" he croaked out, his throat dry from sleeping for so long. He cleared his throat before getting up, confused. Arxingall had left him? Just like that? He clenched his jaw, unable to believe that he would do that. He felt slightly sick, but he got over it, sure there was a reason he had left. He pulled on his now dry pants and metal plated boots.

After the rest of his armor was on and he had tied his hair back up, Azlada grabbed his sword and bag and walked out of the room, looking down the hallway and biting his lip, wondering why he half expected to see Arxingall in the hallway waiting for him. It was obvious the purple haired elf was gone.

Iridescence sat with Aureole in the hall, fidgeting impatiently, opposite of the other girl who sat quietly and people-watched. The girl didn't show it, but she actually liked being around people. She liked to see the differences in the beings Luna had created. The purple haired girl nudged her with her elbow, showing her the blonde, her brother, walking out of the room. "Act natural," she whispered. She didn't know how they weren't acting natural, but she avoided looking at Azlada if that's what Iri meant. The blue eyed girl snickered and waved at the distraught blonde walking alone in the halls. "Hello, lover-boy," she greeted.

Azlada hefted his sword up on one shoulder, knowing better than to drag it on the floor. That would cause some serious damage, that he would have to pay for. His gaze slid over the two girls, and he couldn't help but be slightly relieved. Maybe Arx had had to leave in a hurry, and had left their sisters to tell him where he had gone? He approached the girls, keeping his face as neutral as he could. "What do you want?" he asked, narrowing his eyes slightly. He said nothing about the name, but he wanted to know if they knew anything, so it would be better to not snap at the purple haired girl, as tempting as it was.

Eyes glinting with plans, Iridescence looked at her brother's taste. He was all right, she supposed, but he was kind of an idiot. Why would her clever, somewhat stuck up brother choose someone like this? "You look lonely, where'd my brother go?" she asked, keeping her tone light, letting Azlada know if he was smart enough that she knew what happened to him. "Did he leave you while you were out cold? Does he still want you after we walked in? Maybe he's ashamed of us walking in to see him with someone, so he might think it's a good idea to ditch his embarrassment." She was toying with him, if it got bad enough maybe Aureole would stop her.

Azlada brought his sword off of his shoulder, putting the tip of it on the ground carefully and crossing his arms. His jaw tightened as the girl spoke. She had a sharp tongue, that was for sure. "I'm pretty sure he's not that much of an asshole. But you seem to be. Where the hell did he go?" he asked, denying the idea of Arxingall actually just up and leaving him while he was asleep because he was embarassed. He seemed fine when the two of them went to sleep. But maybe he was thinking while the blonde slept?

"I might be, and you might be too. In fact, you might be an idiot, and I have no idea why my brother would want to be with you." Aureole was about to stop her at that point, but she could kind of see it too. She didn't mean that her brother didn't deserve anyone, or that people were better than him, but the contrast in those two didn't make sense to her either. She liked her brother happy though. "Well, he left a while ago. He just kinda snuck out and told me to stay here to tell you he left. Dunno why, it shouldn't really matter if you know or not."

Azlada tightened his grip on his sword, his whole body tensing as he was insulted. His grey eyes darkened, and he glared defiantly at the girl, hoping that he was hiding how much that hurt him. "You" he grabbed his sword in both his hands and swung it at the elf girl, stopping an inch from her throat, "Need to shut the fuck up, if you know what's good for you" he spat, drawing the blade back and spinning around, storming off, impulsively heading for the mines. He needed to kill things, and the second floor of the mines was looking better and better.

Not intimidated by the sword in front of her, Iridescence giggled. "I don't know what's good for me. I'm just a girl, I'm just a kid who doesn't know what the adults are talking about in their room, remember?" Aureole didn't think her brother could actually hit her. She only saw him get mad over the girls that stalked him, she couldn't have imagined him getting this mad over sharp taunting from her friend about the girl's brother. "Whatever, we didn't have to stay here. Let's go, Aureole." She got up and dusted her skirt off, picked up her sword and shield.

Azlada ground his teeth together as he flew, sweeping past the goblins, ignoring the arrows getting stuck in his wings. He would probably leave them in there to heal around the crude arrowheads. He muttered to himself angrily, cursing Arxingall, and his stupid sister. Aureole had nothing to do with it, but she also didn't stop it. He headed straight to the mines, navigating his way through the dank passages, ignoring the attacks from the monsters as he ran through, barely feeling the pain. Once he was at the second floor, he didn't stop to rest, seeking out the nearest Shadow Fang and attacking it, letting out a frustrated scream as he did so.

Arxingall wished he would have stayed longer with Azlada. He was tiring of this place quickly, and he was in the far back depths of the second floor. Well, had been. He had been taking care of the Blood Gems in the back, since there were more of them and no chimeras to interfere with trying to bring them down in groups. He needed to replenish the potions he had managed to drain in a few hours, needing a break from the cave. The heat was suffocating as he fought continuously. He was half way through when he heard a cry from not a beast, but something else. Curious, he headed towards it.

Azlada was using up his mana faster than he thought he would, scarfing down both kinds of potions as he fought, still losing badly against the beast. He should have known better than to attack when he was so hurt from the first floor beasts, but in his whirl of emotions, he just needed to kill something. Fighting gave him some stability, and he knew he would calm down after a while. He winced as the giant leapard bit down on his leg, and he kicked it off, bringing his blade down on it again, thinking about abandoning the fight if it got any worse, but decided not to, keeping his pride. He would go down fighting.

Arxingall dashed around the structures of rock, running up the low rise that would bring him near the entrance. He weaved through the few enemies that were in the path, only having a Shadow Fang snag on his trail. He ignored it as he found the sight of his familiar blonde fighting and losing to a different Shadow Fang. It hadn't been that long since they'd seen each other, but Luna apparently wanted them near each other often. Maybe there was something bigger than just a relationship in this plot of her's. Arxingall had no idea what the reckless male was up to, but he was stopping him even if he had to take on two of them. He launched a few arrows, trying to avoid the Fang behind him, he grabbed the attention of the other with some effort and worked furiously to take it down so he could move onto the other.

Azlada was focused on the Shadow Fang, pouring all of his concentration into not dying, which was exactly what he needed. His mind was blank of anything other than this monster. He only snapped out of his daze when the beast stopped, turning to fight somebody else. Catching sight of the familiar purple hair, he tightened his hold on the sword, heading after the Shadow Fang again. "Arxingall you ASSHOLE! LEAVE ME ALONE! IT'S MINE!" he shouted, slashing at the monster in front of him.

Perhaps Arxingall shouldn't have trusted his sister after all to tell Azlada a simple message. She must have made it worse to some extent, or made something up. Arxingall chose not to respond to Azlada's anger, knowing whatever he said might just infuriate the already enraged elf further. He used a few of his more powerful, quicker attacks to take down the Shadow Fang that had had a good amount of health down, then moved to the other that had been trying to take a snag at him. He had narrowly dodged a few swipes, even taken a few cuts to the back, but now he could focus on this one.

Azlada growled when the Shadow Fang fell by hands other than his own. He glared at the back of Arxingall's head as the other elf took on the second beast. He was panting harshly, and he chugged down a potion, wiping the back of his hand over his mouth, a smear of blood appearing on the polished armor. He didn't know nor care where it came from at this point though, throwing his sword down and resting his hands on his knees, glaring at Arx, waiting for him to kill the Shadow Fang. "Fucking doucher" he spat, furious.

Arxingall stumbled in his smooth rhythm of combat with the arrows. So Azlada was mad enough without his help in any way or form, it appeared. The Shadow Fang clawed at him, he pulled his face away to avoid losing his eyes as the beast took a swipe. In the event of pulling his head away his body moved forward, taking the attack. His leather armor took about an inch of the cuts out, but that still left him with four parallel marks on his body across his torso. He pulled himself together, gritting his teeth as he aimed the last few attacks to slay the Shadow Fang that had stalked him back. It was that, or face the semi-unknown reason for Az's rage.

Azlada picked up his sword and straightened up, wiping blood off of his face again, still unsure of where he was bleeding from. He watched the beast fall, the body lying motionless before it disappeared. He turned his glare back to Arxingall, squaring his shoulders under his heaby armor. "You're a fucking bitch, I hope you fucking know that" he said, his voice hard swinging his sword around in his anger, purposely catching the purple haired elf in the stomach with the flat end of the blade, with only enough force to knock him over, not wanting to do that much damage, angry or not. With his damage done, he turned and headed deeper into the mine, to find different beasties to play with.

Arxingall took a step back from the force that Azlada had hit him with, he knew that the other elf, as angry as he was, could have done a lot worse. He supposed that was a warning of some sort. He pressed a hand to the long wounds on his chest, pulling it away to check the blood flow. At the moment, because it was fresh, he needed to wrap it. He could do that once he convinced Az to get out of here and not throw himself into a fight he couldn't handle. "Wait," he said, he reached a hand out to grab him, moving forward to catch his shoulder as he was turned. "I don't know what my sister's told you, but whatever it was, I'm sure she was aiming to hurt you." He didn't want Azlada to go farther in, especially if he had trouble with Shadow Fangs.

Azlada stiffened when he felt the hand on the shoulder of his armor, only knowing it was there because of the slight resistance. He pulled himself away from Arxingall easily, turning around to glare defiantly at him. "Yeah? Well you being gone when I woke up has nothing to do with it then?" he asked, acid poured over his words. He was hurt by this whole thing, but his first instinct when he was upset to let anger outmatch his sadness.

Flinching slightly, knowing that he had been the start of the cause of it, Arxingall hesitated to speak. He had no jusitfication for it, if he really thought about it. Saying it was habit wasn't really good reasoning, and he couldn't lie about it because he had no excuse in the first place. "Look," he sighed softly, "tell me what my sister told you. I don't know what she said, and can't make amends unless I know how you're hurt." He knew Azlada probably felt betrayed waking up without Arxingall.

Azlada tightened his fists more and more the longer he waited for an answer. When Arxingall spoke, he shook his head. "I don't give a shit what your sister said. But if you really must know, she told me that you left because you were too embarassed that they walked in on us, so you left me" he said, his eyes downcast, hating to even say the words. He bit his lip, trying to keep his expression neutral as best as possible.

"As I thought," Arxingall said, "she did turn the situation for the worst." He cautiously reached a hand out to Azlada, putting it on his shoulder in a sign that he was meant to assure him of doubts, whatever he said. He didn't know if that would be rejected and thrown off, but it was a way of communication and worth a try. "I didn't leave for that reason. I'd be making excuses if I said I'm not used to, or comfortable with waking up with other people, so I leave before that. I will never say I left early because I was too embarrassed either. I don't know what to tell you except that it was just something I did."

Azlada narrowed his eyes when the hand was outstretched, but he didn't move away. He pressed his lips together as he listened to the non-excuse excuse he was given, unimpressed. "Yeah? Well that's just effing great. So you left me for no reason then? It just seemed like a good idea to up and leave, no note, no message of any kind other than with your sister, who just happens to like to mess with people? And you thought what? That I would just understand completely and be fine with it?" he ground his teeth once he finished his short rant, growling.
