Yuki is a young fashion designer who has been working at the Blazing Star fashion company for three years and she enjoys every moment at work. She gets to create beautiful clothes and learning how to improve her skills as a designer. She spends every day while working thinking of when everyone is going to know her name through her fashions. One day her boss Mr. Beget calls her into his office. She comes in shutting the door behind her. “You needed me, Mr. Beget?”

The big jolly man looks at her with a worried expression. He says trying not to sound freaked out, “Natasha Los left the dress she needs for the ball tonight here. Would you mind delivering to her at the palace? It would mean a lot to me.” She smiles and says to him sounding a little nervous, “S-sure Th-thing…” She slowly takes the neatly packed dress, leaves the building, and heads towards the palace in a company car. Mr. Beget calls the security at the palace to let them know he sent someone over to deliver a dress to Natasha Los.

When Yuki gets there to the palace, a gentleman opens the car door for her. She says with a smile, “I have a delivery for Ms. Natasha Los from at the Blazing Star fashion company…” The man smiles and says, “We have been expecting you. I will be taking you to her dressing room.” He walks her inside guiding through the enormous glamor filled halls. He knocks on the dressing room door and says, “Ms. Los your dress is here…” The model opens the door and pulls Yuki into the dressing room. The man goes back to his post at the entrance of the palace.

Natasha Los says looking over Yuki, “You and I are going to switch places.” Yuki looks at her wide eyes. “WHAT!” Nicole looks at her with sad eyes and says, “I really did not want to come here tonight. My boyfriend and I were planning to celebrate our 5th anniversary together tonight…” Yuki looks at her and says sighing, “I’ll do it…” Nicole smiles and helps Yuki into the dress. Yuki looks at herself in the full body mirror and says, “I designed this dress….” Nicole says with a smile, “You have wonderful talent…”

A few minutes later Yuki was being escorted to the ballroom. All the while thinking, “Please don’t trip…Please don’t trip.” She was not used wearing high heels and she did not to fall on her face. As soon as she entered the ballroom, her eyes grew wide. Everyone was wearing colorful outfits that were as bright as the stars. She looks down at light blue kimono like dress and thinks, “My design looks like child’s play compared to those designs.” She goes and stands by the wall trying to stay invisible.

An hour later a bunch of women crowd around someone screaming with giggles. Guards make the women part away from the person. It turns out to be the crowned prince of the kingdom. Yuki thinks, “Should have known it was the prince…after all this ball is for his birthday…WAIT!? WHY IS HE COMING TOWARDS ME???”

Kade kept his hand's behind his back as he looked over the crowd, standing at his full height and of course being the perfect gentleman, even as a prince, he nodded and greeted to those who have come up to him. Though really he barely remembered most of what they where talking about. It was hard to keep his attention on anything for more then a few minutes.

Oh he tried to avoid the screaming and giggling crowd of women though, he enjoyed most of it but after a whiel it does get annoying. He smiled and greeted another couple before he spotted the woman across the room, finding it a bit odd she was looking like she was hiding. " would you excuse me please?" he moved passed the couple again, heading for the woman, only getting stopped by another group of giggling girls. smiling and tried to get them to move before getting the guards to part the crowd before he headed her way again.

Getting closer he stopped in front of her " tell me something , is the party a bit boring to you ?" he was teasing of course, having a small smile on his lips. pretty sure she was just embarrassed.

Her heart was pounding inside her chest. She thought she was well hidden. She bows respectfully to the prince and keeps her head low. Yuki looks at Prince Kade a moment getting her composer back and says, “Well no. I am just not used to this type of thing. I have never been here and I honestly do not know what I am to do at a party like this. I am sorry if I was being disrespectfully to you, Your Highness…Oh and happy birthday…”

he smiled, listening to her explain before he shook his head. " its quite alright actually . i understand. though to be honest. " he glanced at the other women then back at her. " its a bit refreshing to have atleast one woman not trying to trample me just to touch or do whatever. "

He shook his head again. " your not being disrespectful at all. it happens to the best of us. " he grinned" well thank you .hmmmm lets see .. how about you give me a birthday gift by dancing with me? . what do you say about that?"

Yuki looks at him with a smile and says, “I was raised with some self-control. Plus I have three older sisters who act like that a lot. I know how annoying and suffocating it is. I swear it is like my sisters do it just to embarrass me.” She bites her lip at the idea of dancing with him. “That seems fair enough. I warm you though. I am a horrible dancer. I may step on your toes in these shoes.”

he laughed softly . " sibling's huh? interesting. well atleast you have them. they will be there for you whenever you need them. " he smiled" no matter how annoying they are. ah that is alright, my feet are pretty tough." he teased, holding his hand out to her. ' oh and what is your name? if you do not mind me asking. "

He was curious and he knew he could make it easy for her on the dancing part. as long as they did a slow dance and she didn't have to worry so much about her feet.

Yuki looks at him a moment and takes his hand. “That is very true but I am lucky to have them.” She breathes some to calm her heart rate. “My name is Yuki Ame. It is a pleasure to meet you and be allowed to attend your birthday party. I hope you have gotten everything you wished for today.” She let me lead her on to the ballroom floor where people were dancing. “I have never been to such a beautiful place. All the wonderful outfits and fabrics. It’s amazing.”

he smiled" well of course. i understand that completely. " he lead her carefully out onto the dance floor, standing in front of her and taking one hand of her's in his and then slid his other hand to the small of her back. " we will start of slow. " he glanced to the band and made a motion to them, the music immediately going to slow. then he turned back to her and smiled. " oh well , i may have gotten everything i wished for. " he smiled" like getting you to dance with me."

he frowned a little. " really? and why have you not been to many places like this? . " the way she was talking about outfit's and frabric's made him think she worked with clothing. " just move your feet slowly . side to side . and relax. " he smiled" well your outfit is lovely . "

Yuki followed his lead as they danced trying best not to step on his feet. “Well I am glad I could grant you one wish Your Highness.” She bites her lip again at his question as to why she would be used to places like this. “I am commoner Your Highness. Usually parties like this are only open to nobles, royals, and celebrities. I changed places with a friend so she could be with a loved one.” She could not help but be honest with people. She smiles at the comment on her outfit. “I designed this dress. But it is a shame compared to all the other wonderful outfits.”

he smiled, leaning close. " you can just call me Kade. " frowning he leaned back, not even missing a beat as he gently led her around the floor. " ahh i see.. well you did a favor for your friend. i cannot blame you for that. . atleast you are honest."

he took another look at her dress and then looked at the others before he turned back to her. " actually . i like your's more. the other's are just too... fancy i would say.. heh like the person who has made them, was trying way to hard to impress. "

Yuki smiles and says, “Being with loved ones is important in this life. Love is hard to find in this world. So when a friend needs help, I do what I can.” She was amazed by his skill and it made her feel like a lucky woman to dance with him. She smiles happily at his comment to her dress. “Thank you. I am working real hard for Mr. Beget of the Blazing Star fashion company. I have got a little talent but I lack job experience outside the company. So my designs are lacking emotion or so Mr. Beget says.”

he nodded, giving a smalls mile " well of course. and your a really nice friend i think. " he tugged her a little closer, just to see how she would do with a closer dancing style as he watched her." really ? hmmm well i can definitely see talent .. specially with that dress. "

Now he knew where she worked, and was already getting an idea. if she needed more outside experience, he may be able to help her.

Yuki blushes deeply as he pulled her closer to him. “Your Highness people are beginning to stare and whisper. You do not want to give people the wrong impression. I don’t want you to get into trouble because of me.” She did not pull away though. She was having fun and she was granting the prince a wish. How could she deny him a dance? That would be very rude. Meanwhile the king and queen watched their son dance with some mystery girl.

he grinned, arching a brow" so ?. let them talk.. they would talk anyways if i danced with one of the other giggling all over the place girls. " he teased, least it wasn't a super close dance. that would have been a wee bit too innappropriate and he would have gotten in trouble for that.

at the moment he may be toeing the line just a little but not actually crossing it." are you having fun though? . i would really like to know. "

Yuki looks around slightly and says, “That is true but at least they are a more acceptable group to be around.” She could see all the girls glaring at her. His next question drew her out of her head. “Well as you know I am very out of place here and it is very different from what I am used to. But I have noticed that the party lacks fun and enjoyment. You do not seem to have a birth cake or even one gift that is not a verbal compliment.”

he smiled" ah don't worry , i am sure the birthday cake will be out here soon enough. the chef or whatever is probably making it one large thing.. " he could see the glaring from the girls too but promptly ignored them.

keeping his eyes on her. " as for the gift's. well. .. i have had a few small gift's. some chocolate's from women.. knick knack's and such.. " he frowned" i think i got a bunch of fancy hankies too. "

Yuki smiles and says, “That sounds great but have you ever wanted something more meaningful? Like a cake made by a close friend? Or just a day to be yourself? No fancy clothes and spending time with people who like you for you and not your title…I mean this kind of life must be stressful. I know it took all I could not to trip and make a fool of myself and I am not anyone of importance…”

he blinked and frowned, well that was something he was actually wanting to try.. " well.. now that you say it... i think a cake made by a close friend would be more meaningfull.. even a small one.. still a thoughtfull gesture. " when the song ended he walked her off the stage , carefull again as he waved to his parent's before lightly patted her hand. " why don't you come with me out to the balcony for a little fresh air? they will call me if they need me back in there. "

Yuki nods slowly as he admitted he would like it if someone did something more meaningful. The dance ended and she took a moment to see how the other guests were handling this. Women were glaring at her and the men were whispering about it. She did feel the air getting a bit thick. “Sure Your Highness. I think that would be great.” She tucks a stray silver-blue hair behind her ear.

he smiled, offering her his arm like a gentleman. leaning closer to her. " don't mind them.. they do that every year with the glaring and the whispering.. " he reached the door's and opened them out to the balcony. " ladies first. its a nice night out. not too cold. just .. feels good actually."

Yuki takes his arm gently and walks outside with him. “It is a nice night out. Not too or warm, it is just perfect.” She looks up at the sky for a moment. “How do you stand to be stared at? I feel like those people were going to eat us alive.” She looks at him a moment studying him a moment. “You do not seem to be comfortable in that outfit. Did someone else pick it for you?”

he leaned against the railing , glancing up at the night before shrugging. " i am used to it.. when you grow up like that where you always have people staring at you and telling you what to do how to act and how to talk.. yea.. you tend to get used to it. " he blinked. he had ignored so many uncomfortable clothing that he just tended to push it aside and get used to it. " err.. well actually yes, someone else did pick it for me.. they usually do. depend's on the type of social party i am in or such."

Yuki looks at him feeling sorry for him. She could not imagine living a life like that. She starts to examine his clothes. "I can fix them if you would like. They just need to be adjusted." She could see some markings on his body from the clothes. "I don't know how you can walk around in those clothes. They are leaving marks on you."

he was a bit surprised as he turned slightly to watch her. "adjust them?. now how are you going to do that. " he grinned" got a sewing kit on you or something?" he teased lightly before slightly adjusting his stance a little. " i actually thinkt hey did this one purpose to keep me from slouching or something,. good posture is supposed to be part of the whole royal thing i suppose. " he was curious how she was going to fix his clothing. " well if you think you can fix it then let's see you try."

Yuki opens her purse and opens up her traveling sewing kit. She says as she goes to work fixing his clothes, "I always have my traveling sewing kit with me just in case of an emergency. Trust me no matter what the reason, your clothes should not be this tight." She loosens the sleeves and pant legs. Then she tightens the a loose thread that was coming undone. "There you go your highness..."
