Their cannons concentrated first on one ship then a second and then a third, before the pirates knew what was happening. The pirate ships could not even turn to run, the four ships blocked their way and between the fortress' cannons and the ship's cannons they were tearing the pirate ships to pieces. White flags of surrender soon appeared and sails were dropped.

Garth and the others follwed the pirates on land to the docks reloading their guns on the way and when they reached the docks all guns were aimed at the pirates. Ellen stood beside Garth and he chuckled. "Now that is a different look for you."
