Great this is the last thing i need Raven sighed, thinking to herself as she shifted in the sadle, reaching down to pat the neck of her black steed. " well looks like we have to bunker down here Colt. its starting to snow. " straightening up in the saddle she looked up at the sky and she was right, little white snow flakes began to fall, She was on a bounty hunt that is now being put on hold because of the weather, she didn't know how long it will last. Sighing she looked foward again. spotting the mansion that someone in the village told her would be a good place to stay , atlest for her kind. People around here got uneasy when there was a d'amphire around, a half human half vampire.. as if she was going to kill them or something..

Shaking her head she gently pressed her heals into the side of her horse, urging him into a gentle trot, it didn't take long before she reached the Mansion. " whoa boy." she murmured softly before unmounting. taking the reigns just as a young man came out of the barn, she smiled and flipped him a couple of coins. " here.. take these and rub my horse down. "

The stable boy nodded, eyes going wide with delight at the coins " yes ma'am! right away!" he took the reigns and soothingly spoke to the horse, urging him inside the stables.

Raven watched them go before she moved up the steps to the door, which opened before she got a chance to knock. Revealing an old kindly looking man. pulling her cloak down she gave a light smile. " evening sir... i was told from the villages that i could get room and board here?"

He frowned and looked her over before realizing what she was, he nodded and stood straighter, knowing his master would be displeased if he turned her away. " Of course!, come in come in, the weather is getting bad, and you must be cold" he ushered her in before closing the door, leading her into the main waiting room which basically was like a big library , hundreds of shelves full of old and new books, a fire place with a blazing fire which warmed her instantly.. " wait here, i will alert the master that you are here, so he can get you settled. " at her nod he quickly dissappeared.

the butler quickly scurried down the long hallway before stopping a large black door, knocking two times and waited for the gruff voice to bit him entry.. once he stepped in he cleared his throat. " so sorry to be bothering you sir, but we have a guest.. as you instructed me to tell you right away if our guest was a d'amphire. " he cleared his throat and shifted a little" she is waiting in the main library m'lord."

(( ^-^ there, who ever joins, just use your imagination. allthough , i would like to have the master be a vampire, a master vampire really , one who had been seaking all of his d'amphire children to come home and what not.. though he considers them his children even if they are unrelated in genes... ok have at it XD ))

Dante was old, very old. He was one of the first that had been given the gift, from the children of Cain. They had been given the gift by Cain himself and considered his children. From the time of his change he followed his creator until the Great Flood had destroyed all that they had built. Cain had disapeared with his wife, his children were either destroyed or had escaped to the south and west. Dante had escaped to the north and had found barbaric tribes to feed upon, and use his knowledge of building, smelting metals and agraculture to begin bring their level of civiliation up. He like his creator and Cain could walk in the light of day without discomfort or harm.

But his desire to explore and see what was out there got the better of him and he went out and about the world finding that it was a masive world. He had created more of his kind through out his long life. He had met others of his kind in his travels show that others had survived. But from what he was told, they had fallen in wars between each other. He was the last of the old ones.

In his long life he had seen the blood of the vampires thin as it was, become less what they had once been. They were weaker, could not stand sunlight and had lost some of their abilities. He did not like what they had become. He was hoping for race of vampires that once again could stand the light of day. He had begun his experiments and had found that pregnent women on the verge of giving birth when given the gift, would produce a breed that could once again walk in the light of day and was just as strong and agile and lived a long life as well. However the mother never survived.

When his servent anounced that he had a guest and a d'amphire, he smiled. One of his children as he called them had finally arrived. He rose from his chair behind the large oak desk strode from the room. He looked as if he was but thirty years of age, but his eyes would tell most that he was much older. He wore a black tunic, with broad collar, and pants, knee high black boots and about his neck was a gold chain with a gold disk with a blood red ruby in the middle of it. He entered the library. "Welcome young one. My house is your house. If there is anything you need, you can ask Devon, my servent, and he will aquire it for you."

(( really don't care, she is a bounty hunter who brings people back XD well she takes odd jobs as well, she really hasn't thought of looking for the one that changed her.. hmmm yea he can be the master vampire ^-^ ))

Raven turned around, eyes wide slightly as she didn't even hear him approach. " young one?" frowned, it was clear she knew very little of what she was, she still hadn't mastered most of her abilities yet. " ohh just Raven sir.. what is your name?" she glanced at the servent, giving Devon a small smile before turning back to the master of the house. " really i am just here till the storm passes, i am on the trail of a young woman who has dissappeared with her fience's.. err ex fiance's money.. i am to bring her and the money back if i can.. last i heard was she passed through here.. but thank you for your hospitality. " she studied him intently , going quiet again as she assessed who he was.. he looked young, in his thirties but from what she could see of his eyes, they told the real story.. a story saying he had seen many years way past thirty.. very old eyes.. " i truly did not mean to intrude.. the villagers sent me here... "

Dante chuckled. "No appology needed Raven. The villagers have been told to send people with your uniqe abilites to me." He motioned with his hand to a comfortable chair by the fire place then nodded to his servent. Devon left the room. He went to stand by the fire place. "So you are after a woman that has stolen some money." He looked her over from head to toe. He approved of how she looked. "Not much goes on in this part of the country that I am not made aware of. When my servent comes back I will see what he knows."

He had waited a long time for this. One of his experiments finally had showed up. He had to find out more about her and what her strengths and weaknesses might be. There was another that he wanted to find and she might just be the one that could find the individual.

"While you are looking for this woman there is someone that I would like you to find and bring back to me." he leaned against the wall by the fire place. "I will pay you quite will for your assistance." he smiled.

Devon returned with a plater with two large goblets filled with blood. He sat the goblets on the table before the fireplace. "What do you know of a young woman passing through the village or area. Probably within the last few days?"

"Was a stranger here about a day ago. She passed through the village buying a fresh horse and some provisions with gold coin. She was said to be heading to Hawkcrest to the east, something about meeting up with her husband." with that Devon left the room again and Dante picked up one of the goblets and drank some. He looked at Raven over the rim of the goblet.

she relaxed slightly before reaching up to unclasp her cloak, folding it over her arm before she sat down in the chair he motioned.." your looking in for a contract?.. " she leaned back slightly, glancing over at Devon as he spoke of the woman, mentally noting it before turning back to Dante.. " i have the papers to sign in my saddle bag, if you give me all the information you have on this woman i will get right on it. of course as soon as i find this other woman first. I do not like leaving jobs unfinished. " she leaned foward and picked up the remaining goblet of blood, she was famished, since she was half human she had only been living on some food.. bread and cheese mainly since it was the only thing that didn't upset her system.. So it had been a while since she trutly fed..

she took her time, studying him completely while she sipped the blood, her blue eyes slightly rimmed red..." you are the first that seems comfortable with what i am.. may i ask why that is?, although i do sense something about you. " she crossed her legs as she leaned completely back, the warm fire making her relaxed completely.

she stopped for a moment as another servent, a female this time, came in with her bags. " pardon master, where would you like to house miss" she frowned slightly glancing at raven. .

" Raven, just call me raven. " she turned back to dante, arching a single eyebrow , waiting to see what he was going to say.

Dante smiled as he moved to another chair by the fire. "It is not a woman that I seek but a man. He is shall we say kind of special." he sipped more of the blood from his goblet. "Your heighten senses do you well. For like you I am quite different then mere mortal man. I am a full blooded vampire, from a time long ago, the beginning of our kind." He watched her to see what her reaction was.

"Like you I can walk among the mortals during the hours of daylight with out ill affect, unlike my brethern of this day and age. They have become so less then what we were back then." he continued to watch her as he continued. "I have lived among the mortals for ages and most have no idea of what I am. I can even eat normal food with out ill effect which makes me appear normal to them."

He leaned back in his chair sipping the blood. "But some time ago, I got a bit careless, did not feed upon blood for some time and the blood lust took me. Hunters at the time found me and tried to kill me. They ran a spear through me and into a young man that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. My blood mixed with his and some how he gained the benifits of my kind but not the desire to feed on blood. I wish to have him found and brought back to me. For I am intrested in how this has happened. I tried to duplicate this on other mortals but with out success."

When the other servant entered with her bags. "Take them to large suite across from mine. I think you will find them quite adequate. There is even a heated sunken tub that can be filled with water and heated so you can take a hot bath if you wish. Now You must go and relax and rest. In the morning we will fill out your papers for your services." he rose from the chair. "Jesabell here will take you to your rooms. Till morning." he gave her a slight bow and left the room.

she got up, taking the goblet with her and followed the maid, she was silent for a while, a bit disturbed by the news he just told her.. a full blooded vampire.. and one who wants recreate a ... different breed? frowning she slightly nodded to the maid as she was shown to the room, handing her a few peices of coin before she closed the door, wishing to be alone for a bit..

sighing she hung her cloak up on the rack provided, to much in thought to see how beautifull the room was, atleast, up until she saw the tub.. smiling and growing curious she unpacked some of her things.. something in her gave her a suspicion that the snow storm would last atleast a week.. after all it was that time of year for the storms.. " ahhh sometimes i truly hate the cold. " murmured slightly , pulling out a nightgown while the tub filled with the heated water.. she took the time now to study the room. appreciate the beauty of it as she stripped down , taking her goblet as well, and the second one that had been on the table when she came in the room.. finishing off the first she set it down and took the second to the tub. stepping in and sighed in delight..

" well... he ain't perfect.. but i gotta say he has a way of making a guest feel at home. " she didn't know what to think of him now.. the thought of more out there with vampire blood in them was very disturbing, only because one didn't know what would happen if they where left unwatched.. she was proof of that, a rogue vampire rampaging through a city , killing and bitting people..Shaking her head to clear away that memory she sank into the deliciously warm water and leaned back. In her mind allready drawing up the terms of the new contract she would have with him. after all it was no ordinary man she was hunting now.. Which was a higher risk.

she took her time in the tub, up until she grew tired and her body craved sleep did she get out, slipping the silk robe on and tieing the sash as she dried her wet hair. even though it was late night/ early morning she could still hear some people running around, doing some chores most likely.. she trusted the fact that Dante would send in someone to wake her.. or wake her himself if he wanted.. when they needed to talk.

Dante went down to the basement of the mansion. Here he had tables filled with beakers and tubbing, burners and various equipment. On shelves lining the walls were glass containers filled with various chemicals, regents, herbs, plants and the such. On one table was a large book, in it was the name and location of a number of vampires and the names of those that were born d'amphires. Some were young, children that were being raised by a vampire or by mortals that were in his pay to raise and protect them.

He needed to keep records of those of his kind, so that if they began to become dangerous, make their presence to well known, that it would endanger the others, he could tip off the hunters and they would dispose of him or her. Many knew of him and knew that his house was a sancuary for those that traveled. It was from these that he gained most of his information on others of their kind, along with those he employed to keep an eye open for them.

He opened the book and turned the pages. "Damion" was the only name that the young man went by. What his last name was Dante and no one else knew. At times it was not hard to keep track of him. The man seemed to have a passion for things that glittered. He used his agility and ability to jump to great heights and down from great heights to ply his trade.

The maid came down, "Excuse the interuption master. She has taken a bath and is now preparing for bed."

He nodded. "Let her sleep for a few hours. The storm seems to be unrelenting and will continue for a few days perhaps." he grinned at that thought. Time to get to know this d'amphire and see what she was like. He copied information down from the book and took it back upstairs with him. He took the well endowed maid up with him to his rooms and her cries of pleasure could be heard beyond the walls. Later the door to his private rooms opened and closed.

In the morning, Dante emerged and looked out a window at the snow still coming down heavy and a wind with it, whiping the snow around. He grinned as he moved back to her door and knocked on it.

it was easy to sleep most of the night, well if one could ignore the pleasurable sounds coming from Dante's room, she had great hearing and at that moment she wished she had been deaf.. only because it was embarrrassing to listen to your host have his way with someone..

When morning came she was up and fully dressed, her hair completely down now and just barely finished brushing it when she heard the knock on her door.. getting up instantly she moved to it and opened it, knowing who it was before she opened the door. it took all of her power not to feel her face grow warm from blushing.. she managed to hide it though ." yes?.. ready to set up some business? Mr. Dante?" one of the maids had told her what his name was so now she didn't feel awkward not knowing.. " plesae come in.. i was just finishing up the paper work for the contract... i hope you slept as well as i did.. and thank you for this beautifull room, it was very warm, and made me feel right at home."

She stepped back from the door allowing him to come in whenever he wanted as she moved to the table that held a small stack of papers as well as her pack. " forgive me for asking, but when is breakfast served?.. i fear i have a high metabolism that i must keep up with.. "

She was all business and it was just the begining of the day. She was also fully dressed and ready for the day. Impressive the way she had herself organized. But he noticed a slight blushing of her cheeks and he smiled. Evidently she had heard him and his servent girl making love. He entered the room and moved to the table where the paperwork was. Lifting it up he read it over.

"You will be paid 10,000 gold for the retrevil of the man called Damion. He signed the papers and placed the amount in the proper place. The price was indeed high but he figured it was well worth it, if he could get Damion there. He looked up to see what reaction Raven had to his offer of payment. One could retire on such an amount or at least live a very comfortable life.

"Breakfast if you desire some can be prepared by my servents when you wish to dine." he smiled. "Come I will show you to the kitchen." He moved from the room to the hallway. Again he looked her up and down and liked what he saw. She had a good figure with ample breasts and a nice ass. He wondered what she would be like in bed. His servents were mortals and did not have the stamina that he had.

she smiled slightly as she heard the amount he was offering. " that is generous. but of course i need to know all about this man.. how dangerious is he?... do i need to bring him back alive... or dead?.. or alive and a bit beat up if you prefered?" she teased slightly , reading over the signed papers.. before nodding in satisfaction. filing them away in her pack. she followed him out of the room , silently closing the door.. " ohh. one more thing... tell your servents it is not neccesary to clean my room.. i do not like many people around my things for personal reasons.. " with that said she caught up to him before walking side by side with him.

" i don't require much sir dante... unfortunately i cannot eat alot of foods.. just certain ones.. but if you have a simple breakfast i am sure it will be fine.. " frowned slightly before looking up at him. he looked, good, and she definitely noticed when he was checking her out.. it was rare for her to mix pleasure with business, but it did happen once in a while. " what is this man to you ?"

"As I told you last night, my blood mingled with his and it somehow changed him. I am courious on why he was able to take on traits of vampires and others have not. It is an interesting concept. As for alive or dead, I would prefer alive. I do not wish him harm, only to find out why he was so special."

He lead her to the kitchen, "He will have the same strength, agility, and heightened sences that you have. Only he will not have the desire or ability to drink blood. He is a thief and a very good one it seems. He uses his abilities to steal quite valuable gems. You will have your hands full with him." he smiled. A couple cooks were in the kitchen preparing food for the servents. Though he could eat, he only did so in the presence of those that did not know what he was. "Just tell them what you would like and they will fix it. Also let them know what you will require during the day and perhaps the next couple of days. The storm seems to be continuing and getting a bit worse."

As the cooks approached to see to her needs, "Tonight if you would do me the honor of dining with me. I rarely have such lovely company to entertain. I will send up a gown that I think you would like." It would fit her like a glove and show off quite a bit of her ample breasts with its plunging neckline that went to the navel. It was made of the finest silk, so it would feel good to her skin.

she nodded slightly " thats right.. so other then his blood mingled with yours , he is.. in other words.. not that very special in any other way but that. " frowned thoughtfully , while telling the cookes all she would like to eat for breakfast was a light scrambled eggs with some biscuits.. and that through out the day she would only need bread and wine.. or blood.

at the mention of dining that night she smiled slightly as she looked up at him. " of course, the least i can do is share a meal or two with you while you host me.. hmmmm no surprise there, i am definitely sure that whatever you send up i will like.. soo far i like everything else.. i noticed you had a massive library, how long did it take you to get it that large?"

As the cooks brought Raven her food, he chuckled. "Everyone else I have sent after him have failed to bring him back. In fact they have never returned themselves. I do not know if he dealt with them or if the figured it was to hard of a mission for them to complete. I have a discription of him and where he was last seen. Also the name of a contact there that would be able to tell you a bit more about the man." He stood behind her as he pulled a chair out for her and seated her at the table. He looked down at the swells of her lovely breasts and felt a stirring in his manhood. He would have loved to reach around her and take each in a hand and squeeze them. But the time was not right for that, not yet. He nodded as she mentioned his library.

"Oh I have aquired any book that has been published through the long years. Also in a vault I have scrolls from Egypt and old Rome. So you could say that I started when mankind first learned how to write. He smiled at her. "What about you my dear, what is your story, and how did you become a bounty hunter?"

she waited before she sat down , he was very polite and that was just adding more points to her liking him." wow, that is a long time.. i know a few people who would die to see a library like that. " looked up at him as he moved away before she started on her food, taking slow bites as he asked his own questions.

she took her time before swallowing and set down her fork. " that is a very long story but to make it short i will just cut a bit out of it.. my mother was a merchants wife. who was in her last hours of having me in her.. when some rogue vampire.... Nobody knows his name, they just could give me a description. ." she frowned. " he attacked my mother, nearly killing her. ,... a group of people ran him off and by the time i was born it was too late, mother had passed, and the vampire virus passed on to me. " shrugged. glancing at him. " people wanted to kill me when i was a baby... a group of people had just happened to be in the area, when they heard about me. " shrugged as she looked down at her food and took another bite. loving the flavors.. " they took me away before the mob could murder me.. before they left town though they got all the information they could on the attack.. which is how i know what the vamp looks like.. they kept a record of the incident."

she went silent for a few minutes, finishing off her food before reaching for her drink. " as for becoming a bounty hunter, that just came naturally.. the men in the group noticed that at an early age, i had a knack for tracking things fast.. well faster then any tracker thats for sure.. when i was fifteen they gave me my first mission.. to see how i would do really... they trained me with animals first.. the most dangerious ones... before giving me my first human to track.. she was a maid who had gotten kidnapped by a jealous boyfriend.. that was a fun one. " smiled slightly . " the boyfriend had no hope what so ever in hiding her from me."

Interesting was not the word for it. A group of humans taking her in, knowing full well what she was. Bounty hunters by trade but people with a heart and soft spot for the inocent. Dante was not a heartless fiend, he employed mortals, they knew what he was and each had a story of their own. He had saved their lives in one way or another, brought them to his home and gave them a place to stay and work. They were loyal to him.

He had learned long ago that he did not have to be a heartless monster and prey upon the mortals, killing them to survive. He fed but did not kill. He had helped the early tribes of humans become a bit more civilized. Later he continued helping mortals rise even higher. He had amassed quite a bit of wealth over the ages and now used it to still help people, but also to find a way to create a better race of vampires.

When he told of her first assignment he smiled. "And what happened to the boyfriend and the people that rescued you?" It would seem that these people were not afraid of vampires nor did they seem to want to hunt them and destroy them.

she snorted" as far as i know he is waiting back at home for his money.. he couldn't care less on the girl any more.. ahh , they are still living.. settled down now in their own town.i send them parts of my profit to help pay for repairs when they need it, and food of course, clothing, and other supplies. and i visit them every now and then, to help out when they need it." she smiled slightly, leaning back and half closing her eyes in a relaxed state. " they are retired now, taking in orphans when they can. . they are human so they are getting old .. "

sighing softly she glanced around them looked back at him. " hmmmmm so what is the story on you ?.. why do you have humans working for you ?.. "

Dante shuged his shoulders as he took a seat at the table. "Each one of these people I have saved from various fates. Death, imprisonment, or being maimed for a simple thing as stealing a loaf of bread. I was there at the right time and brought them and in some cases, their families here. They now work for me. I pay them a good wage and they now have a life they can call their own." he smiled.

"They are free to leave any time they wish, though none have. They are fearicely loyal and protective." One of the cooks sat a plate of food infront of Raven and smiled. "If you wish to know my story........" he chuckled, "It is a very long story, and would take time to tell. " Another servent came up and and filled his goblet with warm blood. He lifted it and drank from it. "So what shall you do with the storm continuing on. There is not much to do here except read."

she smiled and thanked the cook." ahh i may take you up on that.. .. i have plenty of time. " she sighed and shrugged" this storm, will cost me some time with the young woman but i am good at what i do.. it will take no time to catch up... so only thing i can do is stay here, enjoy your company sir dante and the company of your staff, they seem very friendly and highly interesting.. " smiled, watching several of the servents, give a shy smile before ducking around a corner or two to do their chores.. " maybe check up on my horse as well, the poor thing has been ridden hard for days.. i would like to hope that he is still well. and in good shape.. your stable boy... what his name? .. i would like a talk with him , and let him know i will give him extra for very good care of that horse."

she slid a glance to one of the other cooks, lightly holding up her glass. " may i have more?" she waited for the glass to be filled , thanking the cook before turning back to dante.. " i do say your staff has wonderfull manners... i have never, in the last few years... been treated this kindly. "

They did have time to Kill as it was. The storm could last another day, so they had more then enough time to talk. He nodded his head at her complement on his staff. "Well we do not get to many visitors, especially beautiful ones as your self." he smiled. "For apparent reasons I do not entertain mortals that much, unless they are extremely wealthy, arrogant and have no idea what I am. Mostly there are the occasional vampire seeking shelter from the sun or from hunters. I think they rather enjoy having a woman about that they can serve."

She had asked about talking to the stable boy. "I will have him sent for and you can talk to him." he rose from his seat and took his goblet. "Enjoy your breakfast and if you wish to talk....... Well hear my story I will be in the library." As he left he informed a servent to send up to her rooms some clothes he had for far and in between female vampire. Most were very revealing, as the female version of vampires of the day loved to show off their bodies. He wondered if she would put one of the outfits on. He went to the library and pulled out some papers from the desk there. When the storm ended, he needed to send out some instructions for his business ventures.

she finished her meal in silence, brewing over what she was to do next before she got up and headed for her room,after having a brisk talk with the stable boy , she had herself another bath, it was rare for her to have such a good bathroom, that she liked to indulge every now and then..

once she was cleaned and well satisfied she dried her hair and actually had a look at some of the clothing he had brought up for her.. most revealing that they where, and some even made her blush. " good grief.. don't think i have shown off that much skin in my lifetime. " muttered to herself before picking a simple yet elegent dress.. liking the style even if it did push her breasts up a bit, dipping low to give alot of cleavage and have a bit slit up one of the sides.. she liked it.. even though it would show a lot of skin.. the deep crimson red color also attracted her as well.

she took her time getting dressed, slipping on a pair of slippers before allowing her hair to stay down, even though she used to wear it up.. " allright.. guess i better go and get that story out of him." smiling slightly , looking foward to the evening, she headed down the stairs.. finding him in the library.. " you know.. sir dante. i am begining to think you don't get that many women visitors here.. "

When she came in he looked up and could not help but stare. He liked what he saw. The dress exposed quite abit of her lovely breasts and the split up the side to her hip exposed one of her firm and well muscled legs. Being sleeveless even exposed more of her soft flesh. He rose from the chair and came around the desk He motioned her to a couch. "So you wish to know my history?" he sat down on the couch, and waited till she joined him.

"I am one of the first Vampires. My creator and mentor was Anubus, one of the sons of Cain. We began a good empire at the time. The humans feared us, worshiped us and many wanted to become like us. But the great flood changed all of that. It destroyed everything and took many of us and our followers. A few of us escaped. I went north and my mentor went south into what is now egypt."

He went on about finding primative tribes in what is Greese and further west. How he introduced to them metalurgy, how to make tools and weapons out of bronze, farming and how to build. Over the centuries he had helped these people bring themselves up civilized state. "I like to think I was the one that helped create the Greek city states and what later was known as the begining of the Roman Empire." he smiled. He continued on for awhile. "So you see my dear, it has been an interesting life and has turned out to be a profitable one."

He reached over to a table and picked up a wooden box that was thin and elegant looking. He opened it and in it was a gold necklace that ended in a large white diamond. He put it about her neck so the diamond hung between her lovely breasts. He then let his fingers trail down the chain to the diamond, caressing her breasts with them.

she nodded slightly before smiling. " yes well , i think you may have helped out in creating most of it.. i have met alot of people who are not so bright.. " she shrugged and glanced over at the box he picked up , her eyes going wide slightly ." that is very beautifull. .. ohhh what are you doing?"

her eyes went wide as he placed it on her neck, before shivering from the light touch he did to her soft skin. , she didn't know what to think about it , since it was all new to her, she had never been touched like that, not even a fleeting touch as innocent as that was... most men stayed away from her. " sir dante really , you must not spoil me that much .. not really used to it. " she was trying her best not to get to bright in the face.
